  Workers refused to do the job because the materials were not already on the roof. Wasted an entire morning and afternoon, for them to get to the house only to find out they won't work unless the material is on the roof. It was about eight guys that showed up and they could not figure out a way to get the stuff on the roof?!! Lazy and unprofessional and a waste of a day!! Also they should have at least one guy that can communicate and answer questions of the customer.

  Wish I could unconditionally recommend, but I can’t. All was well up until the start of the actual work when communications broke down. I had to text the owner repeatedly because the crew chief was usually not at our house and the workers barely spoke English. We work out of our home and were trying to schedule things around the noise and commotion. The crew didn’t show up when we were told they would, and they would show up when not expected. A different crew showed up one day and asked to use my extension ladder. The existing and reusable sewer vent caps disappeared. A roof vent paid for wasn’t installed. The gutters were destroyed and have since been replaced. After the crew “finished up” the first floor gutters were full of nails, screws, and shingle trim pieces. I cleaned that all out. I have had to get up on a ladder to reset loose shingle trim pieces and replace pieces that have gone missing in our recent winds. Exactly what I didn’t want to have to do. You may have a different experience if you have a simple post war ranch style house but if your home’s roof has any complexity to it I suspect your experience will be similar to mine.

  Worst consumer experience ever encountered. Owner would never "man up" and speak directly with me. See Oakland Press article "Mold, Money, Misery" and check out court house cases before you choose Lake Orion Roofing.

  I hired Lake Orion Roofing to put a new roof on my house. I asked the owner, Mark Southern, point blank who would be working on my roof. I was told that he had his own crews working directly for the company and that they had experience and did great work. I talked to the crew that did my roof and they told me that this was the first job they had ever done for Lake Orion Roofing. I received a call from Lake Orion Roofing to pay two days after the crew was done and I said I needed to inspect the roof before I paid. I am glad I did. There were literally dozens of exposed nail heads with no caulk on them. There was one row of nails under the ridge vent that was visible through the ridge vent. Another area that needed a row of shingles. I took photos and emailed them directly to the owner. I figured he would respond to my email personally, considering the crew he subcontracted my house to did a poor job. Instead, a worker came out to look at the issue. The worker worked for a little while and left. There was no communication with me about if he was done. The following day a couple of workers showed up and spent several hours on the roof fixing the shoddy job they tried to leave me with. It appears to be okay now, however, it doesn't change that it was a poor job that was only fixed because I inspected it and said something. At least it was fixed right away.

  Absolutely terrible customer service. Three calls to get someone to show up. Mark, the owner, shows up without a call or notice; only to leave a card and make no contact. I made a fourth call to only NOT receive a call back from their service manager. If you have options, go elsewhere!! Similar experience from other reviews.

  Do not hire Lake Orion Roofing. Find someone else to do your roof. Our new roof started leaking within the warranty period. We contacted Lake Orion Roofing, and they were unresponsive. Now, I have leaking around.a recessed light in the bathroom. The warranty is over, so I'm going to have to file an insurance claim.

  Tim one of the supervisors never calls back. We had an issue with roof for over 4 weeks and no response from him. Front office is very helpful but if you need an immediate fix, look somewhere else.

  We have used Lake Orion Roofing in the past and were happy with the previous work so they were the 1st call for our latest roofing need. The quote was complete and more detailed than Victors home solution. We had concerns with replacing some roof boards and the spray on insulation we had in the attic. Mark came out to inspect and come up with a solution that preserved the insulation. The team completed the project in 1 1/2 days. Will look to utilize them again in the future

  In 2001 Lake Orion Roofing replaced our roof. At that time Mark Southern told us that it would last 25 years, and that's exactly how long it lasted. We were totally satisfied then, so having them replace the roof again was an easy decision. Very fair pricing, great attention to detail, minor wood repairs where needed, total site cleanup and no damage to landscaping. Mark oversaw the whole process and walked me through a final inspection. Would highly recommend Lake Orion Roofing!

  Unbelievable service from this company. They installed a new roof for me about 15 years ago. They did a great job. No problems ever. I had a small leak last month during some heavy rains. I called them, someone was able to come next day. He found the leak and fixed all the nail pop ups and loose shingles on my roof. No charge he said !!! Call us anytime !!! You bought the roof from us !!! When I need a new roof , I will call Lake Orion Roofing for sure.

  The roofers were professional. The work was subcontracted out. The work was started and finished within a reasonable time. They took the extra time to look at my house and explain how the decor on the house roof worked, which many other companies were unwilling to do. I appreciate the extra dedication.

  We recently had our roof replaced for a second time with Lake Orion Roofing, the first time was 26 years ago. We replaced the roof because of shigle age. The 26 year old roof did not leak. Mark was very responsive on the quote and the roof replacement. Additionally, he was willing to work with us while we had chimney repairs completed. The roof looks great and I would recommend Lake Orion Roofing.

  The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The owner is very professional and knowledgeable. No high pressure sales. The cost was very competitive and the work crew were also pros.
