  Absolute JOKE of a roofing company!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS. This is hands down the worst roofing company on Oahu!!! Their joke of a salesman Steven is even worse. These guys dragged thier feet for weeks on weeks to get us a quote and when they finally get our quote to us these joke salesman’s quotes us for something we didn’t even ask for even after telling him numerous times we needed a full roof replacement. Then after contacting his office he finally provides a full roof replacement quote. We then had to go back and forth asking for information to be added and corrected and each time it would take this clown days to correct anything. Then we tell him we want to move forward and again it takes them days to get us a formal quote on paper. We then asked for a revision because we wanted to upgrade some things and again took forever to correct the paperwork. We then asked about our gutters for the 5th time to this guy and he claims he’ll get back to us and finally he says oh we’ll notate everything and let your insurance know they need to be replaced also. We then contact them and say ok and sign our paperwork and this clown comes back and says “ we won’t honor our estimate anymore because it’s been over 30 days” when it was these clowns taking forever to get us anything. Don’t waste your time or energy with this JOKE of a roofing company. You’ll just waste your energy and valuable time on a ridiculous roofing company that can’t even do their jobs. DO NOT HIRE KAPILI ROOFING AND PAINTING FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!

  Earlier this year, they were hired to paint the complex that I live in. I noticed that there was some damage to my front light while they were working on my building. The sensor was no longer upright and was dangling. I understand that accidents happen so I was hoping someone would leave a note and say, "Sorry we broke your sensor, let us replace your light for you." However, there was no one owning up to the damage. I informed my resident manager, and he eventually gave my landlord's phone number for them to contact. My landlord received a message from Kapili that they would look into the issue. Months passed by and there wasn't any further contact by that person. After following up again, my landlord found out that person no longer works there and someone else said they will look into it. We are still yet to receive a response. We were hoping it would not take long to look into an issue for a light worth $50, but I guess this is not a concern for them. I know they moved my light around to paint around it because sometimes the light would block the door and prevent me from opening it. Good thing I wasn't inside my apartment at the time they were painting or else I wouldn't be able to get out without breaking the light. It would be good if their workers were more mindful of what they moved and put things back in place.

  My experience with kapili was not very please due to veriuous reasons.All werbal promises and discussions were ignored.Project was delayed 3 times.Twice due to weather .I didn't have an issue with that reson. But 3rd time delayed 2 weeks after promise (after receiving test results) date by salesman. Roof was temporarily covered with plastic.I spoke with management over 45 minutes to convince the inconvenience. He completely ignored my plea. But sale person said he had enough employees and can start as soon as the test results. This promise was denied by owner blaming the employee instead satifising customer.I was very disappointed, he didn't cared. After 2 weeks they satrated the construction. Due to additional work it took extra time.(I agreed)Cleaning was very poor. I had to call 3 times to finish cleaning. There was a small leak due to sheets settings. Once they came and adjusted. Still had a issue.They blame for the original construction. I have to find someone to fix the issue.It took a about 10 days with all additional work and cleaning. They said they will paint where new wood replace area after I pay full payment as a courtesy. Did not happen. Roof looks like a unfinished ugly roof. There was a miscommunication with regards payments,but I paid everything I was agreed by the documents. Everything I mentioned on here are true. Same information I have on my emails.which I was expected to settle as a courtesy. Unfoutenelly didn't happen. Any ones need prof what I wrote I can provide. My advice to readers, ask everything in writing before signing.To finish all these took me one month. I am completely frustrated and unhappy.

  Aloha Lester, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We apologize that you were unable to get the original first or second color choice that you had selected for your roofing project. We send in the purchase order for your materials as soon as we finalize your job file for production. Our suppliers will confirm availability and are instructed to hold the material until the roofing project, however as we were confirming delivery dates and times with our suppliers, they let us know last minute that they were out of stock. As you may know our industry has been experiencing challenges with delays and shortages on various building materials and goods, so these sorts of shortages have become more common place with all distributors island-wide, and it seems that our material was released into circulation of the inventory. The second color choice of Pewter Gray was not a color available in the Hawaii region for the cut of shingle that you had selected for your project, and the next closest color, Slate was delivered for your project. It was our understanding that this was an acceptable color selection, and we do apologize that you may not have approved of this color choice. Given that it has been over a month since project completion, we were under the impression that you were satisfied in the discount option that was agreed on with Tysen our sales manager. However, we do understand your frustration with the color selections and material availabilities.   This company is not very professional. They don’t respond to messages. They keep all the materials and send them to the manufacturer for refund. That is stealing. At least they should ask first.

  I went with Kapili because my neighbor used them a couple of years ago, and I was impressed with the work they did back then. For my roof, they did not disappoint! I liked the fact that they cleaned up every day and made sure not to disrupt anything around the house. I will definitely recommend Kapili to any family and friends in the future!

  Jordan Y. and the crew at Kapili were professional, knowledgeable, and caring about my roofing needs. He explained the process and addressed my concerns. I highly recommend Kapili Roofing.   It was a pleasure working with Kapili crew. Crew listened and address concerns regarding immediate "roof leakage". Communication👌: From start to finish, KAPILI provided documentation (pics, information) on each phase of repairs. Will be looking forward to the next phase of repairs.

  I recently needed repair on my roof. Kapili Roofing was extremely responsive, provided me detailed explanation on the issue and required repairs, and did superb work on the repairs. Thankfully the repairs were completed prior to Hawaii’s severe weather issues the past few months and we had no issues. I recommend Kapili to everyone who wants the best quality service with reasonable and appropriate prices.

  Nervous on such a big project but the Kapili team made it very easy. Roof was installed with no issue, all available supplies were on island with no delay, to include new sun lights. A lot of quotes but this was the one with most detailed on the pre inspection. I felt I was in professional hands the entire time. Polite and clean on site as well.
