  J. Ratch Construction was an outstanding experience. We were diligent in choosing a contractor for a complete reroofing job. Jeff was outstanding to work with and quick to respond to questions or concerns. Job took 10 days including inspections. Cleanup was great. Highly recommend J. Ratch Construction.

Jeff Ratchford just replaced our 47 year old tile roof. We had leaks during the storms and Jeff responded quickly to our call for an estimate. Our old roof was solid but didn’t have any underlayment and the original paper had disintegrated. …

This past Thanksgiving, we discovered water that had accumulated on a shelf in the garage during a storm. After investigating in the attic, we suspected that the water was coming from a leak in the roof valley above, as there was a lot of leaf accumulation. We contacted a few roofing companies, but Jeff was the only one that could come out the following day. Upon removing the concrete tiles in the roof valley, dry rot was discovered, causing the leak. Jeff was able to replace the dry rot with new plywood and seal it up before another rain event was scheduled later that evening! We had planned to have Jeff return at a later date to clean out 5 other roof valleys as a proactive measure. Well, another leak was discovered in the master bedroom ceiling during another wind driven storm event over Christmas. Again, Jeff and his helper were able to return the next day to open up the roof valley above this location and replaced additional dry rot. Thankfully the repair was completed in time before the next round of rain returned! We highly recommend Jeff for any roof repairs! Not only was he able to come out promptly to do the repairs but the cost was very reasonable compared to other quotes that we had received!
