  We had a very disappointing experience with this roofing company. They initially quoted us a specific price for tarp work, (paid at the time of service). Then (a whole 2 years later) attempted to charge an exorbitant amount far beyond the original agreement, threatening to report us to collections had we not paid it. They encouraged us to hire a public adjuster, which we did, but unfortunately this advice led to a negative outcome with our insurance claim. We were left with a damaged roof and unexpectedly high charges. Customer service throughout this process was extremely poor, and we would not recommend their services.

  The jacksonville branch of this company is NOT who you should hire for your roofing needs. They hired a team of roofers with zero experience in metal roofing and recommended a steel roof on my house that was 100 yards from a salt water river. The skylights were placed over (incorrectly) the steel roof and we had waterfalls of water coming in through them into our attics and rooms on the first day it rained after being "completed". The crew damaged our pool motor and an air conditioner with both having to be replaced. When we asked for the job to be corrected with an aluminum roof and a team experienced with metal roofing, we were denied. we were also told if we brought a lawsuit, they would countersue for the 50% of their fees we did not pay, because of the egregious failures and damages. Had to have a legitimate company remove and repair all the damage to our home, and then install an aluminum roof (as should have been recommended by J&M). Even if they can place a decent shingle roof, the ethical and morally correct thing to do when asked if they are able to install a metal roof is to say: NO. We do not have experience in this at all. These are the companies that we recommend for a metal roof. * Legal action was not unsuccessful. no lawsuit was filed, because J&M threatened to bring a countersuit which would have required hiring an attorney at great cost to us, the individual, and minimal cost to J&M, the company, to bury us in legal fees. * J&M's insurance does not cover faulty work and deflected liability onto the sub-contractors they hired. J&M could not locate or contact these sub-contractors for them to be held liable. * This was NOT a manufacturing issue. This was choosing the lowest bidder to perform work that required a skill level & knowledge beyond them. Anyone looking for a metal roof from J&M would be wise to review these photos. This is a failure in ability and craftsmanship. And an inappropriate choice of materials. NOT a manufacturing issue.

  Mrs Eaddy, I appreciate the feedback regarding your experience. Steel is warranted by the manufacture which is much more cost effective than aluminum based on your property address. I also remember the cost-effective conversation you all had with Jonathan since this roof was paid for by insurance. We install numerous metal roofs per week so Im not sure why you would say that. At the end of the day, we always stand behind our work and should something be incorrect, we fix it. We proposed an entire plan, replacing the faulty items delivered by the manufacturer, and were ready to start. Your husband provided us with the go ahead, and you prevented us from entering the property upon the start date. You then took legal action against us yet were unsuccessful because of these same faulty claims made in this review. I will agree that, at times, the best business is the business not taken and we should've mutually chosen to part ways.

  I was very impressed by the rep I dealt with about replacing my roof. Since the job was completed not so much Information after the job was done not so much. Information since then was conflicting what i was initially told. Roof was finished 9jan23 and still no COC. I called the rep 1mar23 and he told me because they didn’t have my email address they were unable to send it to me. 1) my email address is on the contract I signed prior to work being started 2) he has my phone number , why no call if needed my email. Also different stories when final payment was due. Bad way to do business. Also put his sign in my yard without my Permission So now you say you mailed the COC Odd your billing department told me they mailed two invoices to me. Which I never received , and a COC I never received Three pieces of mail missing , I don’t think so. Need to get honest , honesty goes a long way.

The COC was completed on January 11th of 2023 which we mailed to you instead of emailed. We were under the impression that you received it.   My experience with J & M Roofing was wonderful. Bobby handled everything from start to finish in an absolutely wonderful manner. Their crew is one the most hardworking team I have seen. They worked 12 hours with just a 20-minute lunch break and finished the job in a single day. I would recommend Bobby and team to anyone without a doubt.

  I want to thank J&M Roofing in St. Augustine—especially Hunter and Oriole—for the outstanding job they did on my roof replacement. They provided an accurate timeline for when they could start and how long the project would take, and they stuck to it. The entire crew was professional, efficient, and incredibly thorough. They cleaned my yard so well after the job was completed that I couldn’t find a single screw anywhere on my property. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. They did an amazing job on my metal roof, and it’s something my family and I will enjoy for decades.

  My roof was 25 years old and has been thru a number of hurricanes with minimal damage. It was time for a new roof. I contacted several roofing contractors and looked at both metal and shingle roofs. I choose J & M roofing and delt with Cory. They recommended that we use IKO Dynasty class 3 shingles. The price was very fair compared to other quotes. The service was prompt and appropriate and when problems occurred, they were delt with quickly and without any push back. The job was completed, and we are very happy with the product, service and looks of our new roof. Would recommend to family and friends.
