  Do not use this roofing company they will rip you off. Then they will try to make themselves seem professional and tell you the problem they "think" it is without even getting on the roof to look they want you to tell what's wrong? Like you're supposed to know what needs to be. We got a 2nd opinion that came out 2 hours after calling them and it wasn't even close to what we were told! Worked out better for us in tje long run. People do your research before using this place.

  We are really sorry you’re frustrated about your situation. When we spoke the first time about this situation we explained that it’s your plywood that has popped up, which is pushing your shingles up. We did not install the plywood, the builder installed the plywood. We can’t warranty something that wasn’t installed by us. Decking is not replaced when roofs get replaced unless there is rot. We only installed roofing material such as shingles, felt, etc. We also explained , with all the rain, that any repairs would be delayed due to trying to get full roof replacements in on dry days. I know you’re trying to sell your house and you need this completed asap, but I promise we are trying to get to everyone in a timely manner.

  The so called owner Micah has the worst attitude. As soon as he realized we had a warranty he stated there was no way he could do the repairs made all kinds of excuses and changed the schedule from the 1st to indefinite. Why buy a warranty if you the company refuses to honor it. I question his business ethics. We will be getting legal advice on this. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

  I went to them from there reviews. Very nice and indicated I needed to reach out to insurance co because it looked like I had wind and hail damage. I do have a place in my roof that is leaking and sunk down. I was also looking to get a new fence and they do that too much said helena fence. So insurance said not enough damage that insurance would pay. So I reached out to Micah via text and told him and said we needed to talk that he could reach out to me on Thursday eve. He was going to work up price for fence also. Anyways I haven't had any response from him. So the only thing I can assume is since insurance wasn't going to pay he doesn't want the job.

  I called Idea Roofing for an estimate on Wednesday based off of all the great reviews. I sent my information via email as they requested. However, they randomly showed up to my house early Friday morning unannounced and didn’t even ring my doorbell to let me know what they were doing. I had no time to put on presentable clothes to ask what they were doing. There has been no phone or email communication so I was totally confused why this company just showed up and accessed my roof without talking to me for confirmation or common courtesy. There has been no communication since this encounter. I waited a week to post this review.

  I am changing my review: Ideal Roofing in Helena, AL installed a new roof on Sept 3, 2021. I have a leak at the corner of my back door and patio roof that they refuse to repair. Pictures are attached. April 9, 2021 Brandy Nelson with Ideal Roofing came to my house and took pictures of my original leak at the corner of my backdoor and patio cover. She later texted me back, and said they were too busy to repair, due to all of the March Alabama storm damage, that they were tending to. I then started to see leaks in the middle of my patio cover, so I contacted Brandy, and this time, I wanted to go ahead and get a whole new roof put on my house and patio cover, since the original roof was 16 years old. Brandy came out on July 22nd and gave me an estimate of $5960.00. I signed the contract on August 4th, with the understanding that all leaks would be fixed. After the next rain, I saw leaking at the backdoor. Brandy sent out Cesar to repair on Sept. 20th. He used silicon to repair a small crack between my house and the patio cover. After the next rain, I still saw leaking. On Oct 9th, Brandy, again sent out Cesar to repair. Again, he siliconed the roof. After the next rain, I again saw leaking. Brandy said she would send Cesar out Oct 29th. He never showed up. When I texted her on Nov 4th, she told me that this was a building issue and that a flashing needed to be installed. She told me that they did not do this, and that I would have to get a contractor. Micah, the owner, came out Nov 19th. He patched a hole in siding & thought it was from runoff. After next rain, leak was not only in corner, but in other places. Notified Brandy on Dec 6th. As of Dec15th, I have not heard from Brandy or Micah. I was under the impression that flashings are installed or replaced when a new roof is put on. I was never told that I needed a contractor to do this. My contract even states “install all Flashings on transitions”. On April 9th, when Brandy came out and saw the leak at the

  I highly recommend Idea Roofing. From the beginning, they were professional, responsive, and straightforward. I had quite a few questions before choosing a roofing company, and they took the time to answer every one without ever making me feel pressured. The crew worked hard, did an excellent job, and the finished roof looks great. Communication throughout the entire process was excellent, and I especially appreciated the 10-year workmanship warranty. After dealing with a frustrating insurance claim for several months, it was refreshing to work with a company that did exactly what they said they would do. I’m very pleased with the finished product and would absolutely recommend Idea Roofing.

  Absolutely amazing. They came out and did a free inspection. Another company had told us they're was catastrophic damage TY or rod and wet needed immediate work which they'd be happy to finance. The inspection was quick and thorough and saved my family tens of thousands of dollars from another company trying to upsell and get us to replace our roof. He could've easily told or sold me anything and gotten something out of me. Instead he told me the truth. That's something I will never forget and when I do have roofing needs i will NOT forget the integrity shown.

  Micah really left an impression on me with the way he and Idea Roofing conduct their business. He was always accessible when I had questions and was very knowledgeable throughout the process. They installed the roof on my home in Hoover on August 3. Micah communicated with me the night before about what to expect, and his crew was here at daylight ready to get to work. I received several texts from neighbors during the day commenting on how impressed they were with the crew and how efficiently they were working. By the time I got home around 4:30 that afternoon, they were already in cleanup mode. They carefully went over the yard, checked the gutter downspouts, and blew off the driveway and lawn to make sure they left very little debris behind. Honestly, once they left, it was hard to tell that a complete tear-off and installation had even taken place. I’ve had plenty of experiences with contractors where communication and workmanship were frustrating. This was a completely different experience. Idea Roofing was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and did an excellent job from start to finish. I’m extremely pleased with my new roof and would definitely recommend Idea Roofing to anyone looking for a roofing contractor. Thanks again, Micah, for a great experience!

  Idea roofing did an AMAZING JOB with my roof! Micah was very professional and made sure all my questions were answered. I was expecting to wait a week or two before they could get to me, but it took 5days for them to start on my property. I would 100% recommend using IDEA for your roofing needs!
