  I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the services provided by GW Roofing & Repair in relation to the roofing project at my property in Cape Coral. Having experienced significant damage due to a hurricane, I engaged GW Roofing & Repair based on what seemed to be the most economical option. Regrettably, my experience has been marred by numerous issues that have resulted in substantial financial losses and a profound impact on the sale of my property. Upon entering into an agreement with GW Roofing & Repair, I promptly provided the requested upfront payment of $32,500 in August, as per Darrin's insistence that this was crucial for material procurement and completion by September 15. Unfortunately, it is now December, and the roof remains incomplete, despite assurances and promises made. The consequences of this delay have been dire, as I have lost not one but two potential sales, both of which were in contract. Prospective buyers withdrew from their agreements due to the unresolved roofing issues. Consequently, I find myself facing a staggering financial setback, having missed out on a 2 million dollar sale. My attempts to communicate with GW Roofing & Repair have proven futile. Despite numerous calls, I have received neither callbacks nor answers. The only form of communication eliciting any response has been through text messages, and even then, the responsiveness has been sporadic, with only one out of every five texts garnering a reply.

  This project has an open permit with an approved in progress inspection by a Cape Coral city inspector. This is the 6th roof GW has been hired to replace for Mr. Davis. We have performed over 18k worth of work on this project while strictly adhering to the state and local building codes resulting in the afore mentioned inspection approval. GW had every intention to complete this project however voicemail and text message threats from Mr. Davis’s father and associate along with visits to our private home have soured our relationship to the point of involving the police this evening and filing a report. We see no coincidence that this review was published today while we were being harassed and threatened.

  I cannot for the life of me figure out how people give this company ONE star let alone more than that. I wish ZERO were an option. Actually, negative. These people took our roof off and then NEVER showed up to put one back on. Said they were coming and No showed 5-10 times. Made us pay in full (I should have known better) And Kept our money though. Someone who works with him told us he does this all the time. Made that statement after we paid, obviously. Shame on us. Please save yourself and stay as far away as possible.

  Mrs Abbruzzese, You did not pay in full at all. You paid deposits and work was performed until you threw an addition and total remodel into the mix. You delayed the project multiple times with this addition which was going to include new roof trusses. Your statement that you paid in full is completely false as was your statements that we were the reason you gutted the entire interior of your home.  We have a tremendous amount of paperwork to explain and prove our side of the story.  The story you are neglecting to include along with your false statements. You never met any one who works with us.  You were in Tennessee. You came after our company with 3 different attorneys and each was answered with proof of your attempt to pull back funds from a signed contract. Each was never heard from again thanks to our proof . Your change orders lead to  multiple contractors not being paid or short changed on your job site to include, your building contractor, painting contractor and even the demolition man who gutted your entire interior prior to our company even starting the work. Strange how we caused damage to an already gutted interior but you know all of this already. He was not paid in full and is a personal friend of the family who submitted a written statement with timeline proving his work took place prior to ours when lawyers came threatening. You even tried to sue your contractor unsuccessfully and not pay in full for your floor even after he walked in and saw that you had a massive water leak in your master bath. According to your contractor the painter had to lien your home in order to get their money back. You fully intended to rip us off and are at a loss as to why your lawyers were unsuccessful. Our actual truth and proof won the day and you learned that customers who seek to profit from others hard work will eventually answer for their falsehoods.   This company has completely disappeared from the completion of my roofing job once again. They have pulled all the shingles off my roof and left it exposed to the elements. I was told by Darrin they were going to be here to finish 3 weeks ago and no call no show. I've sent several emails and texts and zero reply back. Please do not be their next victim like I have been. These people were paid half the money for this roof back in March and it's almost August. Completely ridiculous

  Originally signed contract in November, was told we would be two weeks until completion. It took until February 3rd before the shingles were actually installed. Second part of the contract was to remove and reinstall our solar array after the new roof was installed. I understand this is not a normal service of theirs, but Darrin told me he could get it done and this was the deciding factor to go with him. Once the shingles were up. Darrin has told me repeatedly that they will be back to install the solar array "Friday" or "tomorrow".... then no one shows up and Darrin does not reach out to communicate delays. Almost every step of the project Darrin has been horrendous with communicating updates, delays, or issues. And currently I've been reaching out trying to get updated on when this can be completed.... but Darrin does not respond to my texts or phone calls. He has told me many different reasons for delays.... but I always have to hunt him down to find out anything. I've tried desperately to resolve this with him and have been mostly ignored. The two stars were because when he did have his crew show up, they did do a good job. However, due to communication issues, I would not recommend him for any project going forward.

  GW did in fact remove the solar system. It is impossible to replace the roof system on any home without removing the system first. You have neglected to include the fact that we removed the solar system prior to replacing the roof system. You also did not mention that we ordered, purchased and delivered the proper solar leg flashings without reimbursement. Oddly there is also no mention of the fact that our guys were on your roof less than a week ago and left said flashings along with loading your solar rail system onto the roof. You were in the middle of emailing with our owner yesterday when you simultaneously submitted this review. You have not been charged for the removal of the inferior solar system which you have admitted no other company would touch. You hired the solar company in 2018 and had them install a poorly placed system on your roof and now want it put back in place while knowing it is not only inferior but has no warranty despite it's age of only 4 years. (Industry Standard Solar System Warranty 20 Years) We submitted our written labor warranty upon final payment. Oddly again, there is no mention of your delay to pay upon completion per the signed contract. After we communicated with you yesterday and you asked when we could get the solar done for you you received a reply. Even after the reply you still wanted us to come back and do the solar and all while you submitted this review and forgot to mention it to us. As we clearly stated yesterday, your warranty in one time transferable and we will transfer upon notification by you that the home has been sold. We will also convey our concerns about the solar system that no one wanted to touch and its poor placement and quality if someone places it on our roof system. Again, we hope you will do the right thing and add this to your seller disclosure to properly and legally inform buyers of these facts. Lastly your statement "this was the deciding factor to go with him" is completely false. You went with u

  This place is the Biggest RIP Off Do not use it. He charged me 600 to "patch up" my roof. 2 guys went up for about an hour, ripped off my gutter, put caulk all around where siding meets roof, that was May...until big storms came, August, it started pouring out of the hole in my porch roof. His comment was " well it's been 4 months." Other roof companies (4)that came here said it probably cost him 100 for supplies ..maybe. 2 guys ..maybe another 200. STAY AWAY FROM HIM.

  Hi Miss Wilhoite, I am sorry you are not pleased with the work performed on your property. As you stated the work was completed in March. What you did not mention is that it was work that was performed based on our conversation and your final approval. All of the work that took place was exactly what we discussed and for 4 months during the summer it did not leak. When we spoke you told me that it didn't rain. We both know that is not true. What is true but not mentioned is that you and I agreed that due to your unhappiness I would send you a refund. You replied and said $400 would be fine. I can only assume that since you have not received your check yet that is the reason you wrote this review. We did not warranty the repair because we wanted to open the vinyl siding that a previous repairman installed roof cement on and you told us it was not the siding that was the problem. Our price was based on 2 men on a split level 2 story roof performing work. Our minimum repair price is $250. We agreed on a price, performed the work and nothing leaked. Your porch ceiling was repaired and according to you did not leak for 4 months in the summer with no rain. To make you happy I agreed to give you your money back and you said $400 out of $600 even though you just stated that other companies said I spent $300. I think we've been more than fair with you considering the warning of siding issue, no warranty and an offer to refund you. I wonder what the other companies will do? Will they install a brand new roof system or will the "patch up" the issue?

  Darrin and his crew were on time, diligent and took good care to leave the area clean. The final work came out looking a lot better than I anticipated. I appreciate their efforts and easy-going nature. Darrin was helpful with an appliance issue as well, not only spending time to figure out the issue but sharing another contractor's contact info.   From start to finish, the Ibex Roofing team exceeded every expectation. They were professional, courteous, and highly skilled. Their craftsmanship was exceptional, and it was clear they take great pride in the quality of their work. The crew arrived on time each day and worked efficiently, always as a well-coordinated team. Every detail was handled with care—tarps were laid down to protect the property, cleanup was thorough, and they made sure nothing was left out of place. Communication was excellent throughout the process, which gave me complete confidence that the job was being done right. It’s rare to find a company that combines professionalism, punctuality, and true attention to detail, but Ibex Roofing does all of that and more.
