  I paid extra to have them replace the dry rot and only replaced one board of dry rot. Left 3 other places and tried contacting them on multiple occasions for them to fix it and never heard back from them. Should have never made the last payment until they finished what I paid them to do. Pick another roofer.

  I wanted to be impressed by HomeTown Roofing after hearing great things, but my experience was stressful from start to finish. After a severe weather event damaged my roof, I contacted them hoping for help with the insurance claim. Unfortunately, communication was inconsistent, and I often had to follow up to get updates. The process with insurance dragged on for months, and I felt like I was left in the dark most of the time. When the work finally started, the crew seemed rushed — they finished in a day, but the quality didn’t reflect that speed. A few shingles looked uneven, and I found debris and nails left in my yard afterward. For the amount of time and stress involved, I expected more professionalism and better attention to detail. I can’t say I’d recommend them based on my experience.

  It was a hastily completed roofing job with obvious problems. Some of the shingles were already falling off within weeks, and several others were misaligned. I reached out to them to get it fixed, but they were unhelpful and contemptuous. This was a really disappointing lack of professionalism and concern for quality.

  I am not saying to avoid them, but use my experience to decide if they are the company for you. Great first impression, however several mishaps left me frustrated and regretting my decision. If you have solar, beware. The sales rep recommended someone to remove/reinstall the panels and that person quoted me over twice as much as companies I searched out on my own. The roofing sales reps solution was just to ask my insurance company for more supplemental money as opposed to addressing the root issue of his “recommendation” trying to take advantage of me and my insurance claim. Dealt with the roofing company’s manager who quoted someone reasonable and I went with his recommendation to make the process easier but that was a mistake. When the panels were reinstalled, they messed up the reinstall to the point that the company who fixed the panels had to turn the system off because it was a fire hazard and then eventually do a complete remove and reinstall all over again. Additionally, I had four leftover packs of shingles that the roofing crew left behind. The manager was in my neighborhood several days later and took them from my driveway without asking/informing me. I questioned the manager when my wife shared the camera footage with me and his response was they should have taken them when my shingle install had been completed. My question is, I paid for those, if they are taking them, should I not get a credit for them? The manager did say he’d bring me a pack to which he never did. As for the quality of the install, I guess time will tell. You have a lot of options and many roofers do a great job, so if you’re still reading this, I ask that you do your research, and not choose a roofer that will just do a good job but will also treat you with respect.   We had an excellent experience with Hometown Roofing. Jose was very personable and knowledgeable. Our roof looks so much better than before and I felt like I could trust Hometown to take care of any underlying work my roof needed! Pricing was very good and no up sales! Highly recommend them!!

  Extremely capable and flexible in scheduling. Team works fast and coordinates across the enterprise to bring needed qualified techs to perform ancillary functions i.e. solar.
