  I had a disappointing experience with this company. When I called, I clearly explained to the receptionist that we already knew we had a refrigerant leak and wanted a technician to come out and diagnose where the leak was coming from. When the technician arrived, he simply confirmed what we had already told the office, that there was a leak. He then explained that actually locating the leak would require a different diagnostic process costing approximately $2,000–$2,500 As a result, we were charged a $99 fee just to be told something we already knew and had communicated when scheduling the appointment. I wish the receptionist had explained that leak detection was a separate service with significant additional costs so we could have made an informed decision before scheduling the visit.

  Would not recommend working with this company again. I had an hvac specialist come out to inspect my home a year ago through a different company and was informed that my houses unit had a leak, I called the receptionist and informed her that I had a leak that leaked out throughout the last year and wanted to identify the source of leak so that I could decide on either having it repaired or having the unit replaced, instead she sent out a technician that barely checked my unit, did not find the source of my leak and instead informed me that the refrigerant was $300 per lbs and that my unit had a leak and to find the exact source of my leak the full inspection would cost upwards of $2500. If the receptionist had told me that there was a secondary inspection required to find the leak in the first place I would’ve never had them send a technician out to tell me exactly what the last technician had told me a year ago. And on top of that, when I had a technician top off my refrigerant last year I had only paid $120.00 for the refrigerant top off whereas the technician with this company had told me just to fill the refrigerant would cost me roughly $700.00. Do not work with this company, they will charge you $100.00 to tell you information you may already know and then give you a ridiculous quote to try to make money. If I could rate this company less than 1 star I definitely would.

  We hired Harlan Quality Roofing, Inc for a roof replacement that included chimney saddle and step flashing work. Shortly after completion, we experienced a significant leak near the chimney during a controlled water test. We repeatedly asked for photo/video documentation of the original water testing and requested a controlled retest after additional sealant was applied to the flashing and chimney areas. This was never provided. Because sealant was added after the initial test, it became impossible to determine how the flashing system performed in its original installed condition. Despite our requests for a documented and isolated testing process, the issue was attributed solely to stucco and chase cap conditions without verification of the flashing work included in our contract. Communication became increasingly dismissive when we asked reasonable, technical questions about how the leak source was isolated and verified, and the matter was pushed toward final inspection without the testing we requested. We also had concerns about billing transparency during dry rot repairs. We had to repeatedly request documentation showing where repairs were made, how many hours were spent on new work versus items already included in the original contract, and how labor time was calculated (including delivery and travel time billed at the same rate as on-site repair work). The initial invoices and explanations were vague, and only after multiple follow-ups did we receive partial clarification and a small credit for duplicated labor hours. While the company was responsive in replying to emails, we were left to identify gaps in documentation, testing, and billing ourselves rather than being provided clear, proactive transparency. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend that future customers insist on detailed documentation, clear labor breakdowns, and controlled verification testing when leak diagnosis or change-order billing is involved.

  Came out to give me an estimate. Told me they would email it. Estimate never arrived. Didn't appreciate them wasting my time, didn't even call them to chase down the estimate. Spent 35K on a roof with another company.

  Updated Review: Did some chimney flashing for us, the flashing is fine. The siding they replaced was an issue. After back and forth the company did offer to pay for the siding repairs. I am sure their roof work is good, but I would not have them do any siding repairs.

  Hi Lauren, thank you for the review and post. We're very sorry you aren't happy and we did offer to come back and several options to take care of it. As you can tell from our reputation and reviews we usually do everything we can to make our customers happy. Just so the community posting here is aware, naturally the details aren't explained and we are being unfairly represented. We did a larger roof repair for Lauren and as a separate item we agreed to include replacing a small area of wood siding on part of the fireplace up to 24 sq ft. We do not do siding replacement but were willing to do a small area and agreed to fix the wood on that location. We also did not bid painting in the work scope as this was just a small portion of the main work we were there to do on the roof. When she expressed displeasure at the small siding repair we did let her know we would happily come back to redo it but she did not want that. It seemed like a misunderstanding to us. However she wanted us to pay the full cost of a company to paint the chimney. We also offered to pay for a portion of the painting or write her a check as a courtesy which she refused. Unfortunately it's been made to appear that we replaced the siding on the chimney and that we charged $3k for this small repair which is not true. Also, some of those photos are of conditions that were pre-existing and not part of our work which appears intended to make us look bad. The actual work we did was only a small area as part of a larger roof repair.

  I had a great experience working with Harlan Roofing and would highly recommend them! We bought our house three years ago knowing it needed a new roof. I had used them once before to fix a leak and most recently to completely replace the roof. The entire process was so easy and I always felt informed of what was happening and next steps. Their entire staff, from the estimator, office staff, foremen, and on site managers were excellent to work with, knowledgeable and so friendly. They worked so efficiently and fixed multiple small DIY mistakes and little quirks that had accumulated over the years from previous owners. Wouldn't go to anyone else!

  Juan was very professional and pleasant. His diagnosis was not a surprise and I felt like he was honest about the needed repairs to the AC unit. He also answered some questions I had about switching to a heat sink system without being pushy. Very satisfied and enjoying cooler air than I've had in years.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A huge shout-out to Marshal! On a scorching 104° day, he made time in the middle of his already busy schedule to help an elderly couple who are dear friends of mine after their air conditioner stopped working. Not only did he respond quickly, but he was also able to repair their unit on the spot. It’s rare to find a service technician with the integrity, compassion, and genuine care that Marshal shows. He went above and beyond to make sure they were safe and comfortable during dangerous heat.   Service was GREAT!! Very timely service, a/c went out Sunday evening, called at 8 on Monday, Juan showed up at 11:00!!! WHAT?!!! Full service done at 12:30, THAT’S SERVICE! Juan, very cordial, explained everything, and unlike other companies, did not try to upsell. However, did make a recommendation, that I will follow up with my wife. GREAT FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE.
