  Nico, Angel, and their crew were far from amazing. Our home was damaged by hail, and the roof and gutter needed replacement, but the process was a mess.

  This is a brand new installation in a townhome development completed in May of 2021. I was told all of this is acceptable. I don't think they know how to properly install drip edge. I have no idea what that mess is in the gutter. I don't know how anyone can say this is proper. Do your homework before using greater Midwest exteriors. I'm only posting here to protect others investment. Added June 18, 2021 The contract stated remove and replace all metal flashing. That was not done on my unit. When they removed the old shingles, they damaged the flashing and just shingled over it. I found an area with a nail sticking up. The contract also stated they get to keep all left over material. I would be ok with that if they actually held up their end of the contract and replaced flashing. I wish I could add those photos. Please be careful and due a thorough inspection before you pay them. Adding photos of changes to area with improper felt overlap, nail sticking up and mangled flashing. Updated june 11 2021 A neighbor was unable to close on their unit due to a leak that showed up at walk through 3 weeks after inspection. A neighbor has a leak in the garage. Another neighbor has a couple leaks, one at top.

  Owner gathered the estimate together with windows and exterior work. Knew we were in the process of refinancing and stated that he was not going to make much of a profit from the job but wanted to do it. Refinancing comes through and he jumps the estimate $8000 stating material costs and his window guy in different even though he uses the same window manufacturer. Not sure on his work because I have never seen it but I definitely would not trust the SIGNED estimate and the owners word. Said one thing and decided that he would back out because he was not going to make a large enough profit.

  Had a similar experience that was described. Received a quote then it was jumped when it came time to do the work. Was not thrilled and had to begin looking elsewhere for another company to do the job. I would not recommend them for honesty.

  All I can say is that GM.E. has been absolutely great to work with! They installed my new roof after storm damage back in 2020. At the time, Blake was my point of contact, and he made sure everything was done correctly and that I was completely satisfied with the work. I will say, the roof itself wasn’t even the most difficult part of the process. Blake and G.M.E. went to bat for me and battled it out with my homeowners insurance to make sure the storm damage was properly covered. I won’t name the insurance company by name, but let’s just say their famous “good neighbor” reputation didn’t make the process any easier! 😂 They stayed on top of everything and made sure I wasn’t left to fight that battle alone, which I really appreciated. Fast forward to the last couple of months, and I had a few areas of concern due to some recent storms. Jonah has been fantastic. He came out within a couple of days to inspect everything and had the issues taken care of just a day or two later. His level of service, responsiveness, communication, and efficiency were second to none. As a homeowner with a busy schedule, you really couldn’t ask for better service. Overall, working with G.M.E. has been one of the most pleasant and efficient experiences I’ve ever had with a contractor. From Blake in 2020 to Jonah recently, their commitment to customer service has been outstanding. Thanks again, G.M.E., for taking such great care of us! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor you can actually count on!

  The vinyl siding replacement with gutters &.soffits went smoothly & looks terrific! The job started & finished exactly as scheduled. Any questions we had were promptly responded to and were addressed positively. The staff was great to work with & we couldn’t be happier with the outcome!

  The team did great work on our house. Alex the sales contact was helpful and not a pressure sales person. We worked with him over the span of a few weeks to make sure the project was what we wanted and then moved forward when the quote was supportive of our budget. The install team did tremendous work and the end result looks great.

  Cody was the salesman I worked with for a year. It started out with getting a denied claim that he worked diligently to get overturned. In the process, a much more devastating storm hit and Cody me fixed up with a new roof, soffit, and gutters. I have recommended him to friends and family who have also gotten new roofs through Cody and GME. The work was beautiful and there were never any sleazy sales tactics. Thanks again, Cody and GME!

  I had GME come out after a recent storm in Geneva. Out of all the contractors they were the one that did not pester me for insurance information or trying to open an insurance claim on my behalf. Cody was my sales guy and he made himself available by phone or text no matter the day or time. He answered every question I had, walked me through the process as it was my first insurance claim, and grounded my expectations on what would be replaced vs repaired with my insurer. I ended up having a new roof, new siding, new front door, soft metals, and garage door. The guys who did the work did a great job.

  We just wrapped up a major project on our home's exterior, and it looks absolutely amazing. Like any big project, there were some timeline shifts, and unexpected changes. But what really mattered to me was how the company handled challenges. Instead of dismissing my concerns, they actually took full accountability and were incredibly fair about everything. Logan and Jonah were very pleasant project managers to work with and did a great job keeping things moving forward. When it came time to wrap everything up, the CFO, Jason, was also very reasonable and professional to deal with. I appreciate a company that actually listens to your feedback and makes sure you're completely happy with how such a major project is completed. The quality of the work speaks for itself, and I’d definitely recommend them. (Note: I am a true customer and was not incentivized in any way to write this review, just genuinely happy with how they handled everything at the end.)

  Very happy with the service I got from Greater Midwest Exteriors. I had them replace existing vinyl siding with LP Smartside. It looks amazing. Chris was great and offered some awesome ideas for finishing the siding that I wouldn’t have even thought of on my own. The crew that installed the siding did a great job. I’d be comfortable recommending GME to anyone I know.
