The office staff were great. The guy Chris that was SUPPOSED to come and give me a quote is another story. He calls 15 minutes before the 11:00 appointment to let me know he is running behind and will be an hour late. I told him that’s ok. 2 1/2 hours later I call the office to find out where Chris is. He told them that he talked to me and let me know he would be here at 1:30. He didn’t call me after 10:45. He says he must have called the wrong person and talked to them. But he waited till 12:28 to even call the wrong number. 1/2 an hour after he was supposed to be there after the change. Then he asks if I can do the quote at 1:30. I agree, but let him know that if he is going to be even a minute late this time, he should just cancel it. He lets me know he will be here in time. Then texts me back 2 minutes later to say he’s going to be about 15 minutes later, and that he canceled the quote. THIS is a top rated company? Who can not even keep an appointment set up 1 1/2 weeks earlier? 0 stars. Do NOT recommend.

I hired this company to install vinyl siding on two and a half sides of my house, to match existing siding on the other side. Unfortunately, the experience was beyond frustrating from start to finish. After signing the contract, I heard nothing from the company for weeks. There were no updates on scheduling, materials, or timeline — I had to reach out repeatedly to try to get basic information. It wasn't until we were within two weeks of the substantial completion deadline that any real movement happened, and even then, only after I pushed for it. Materials were finally dropped off on a Friday, with work starting the very next day — hardly the kind of planning I expected for a job of this scope. To make matters worse, not all materials were delivered — no insulation, and they ran out of j-channel. Partway through the installation, I also noticed the siding style being used didn't match what was specified in the contract or the existing siding on the rest of my house. This was a clear deviation from what I paid for and agreed to in writing. In the end, they decided to replace the existing siding on my house to match the newly installed siding, at their cost, and they took a few hundred dollars off the contract price, far from what I was expecting. Not one person from management (besides the on-site PM) has contacted me about my experience. Overall, this project fell short on communication, timeliness, and contract compliance. I'd strongly encourage anyone considering this company to look elsewhere or at the very least get very specific commitments in writing and to check in frequently, because the experience and work delivered did not match what was promised. Update: Only after withholding final payment and giving a 1-star review did a “production manager” reach out to try to get me to change my review. Facts are facts. Out of principle, I will not change my review. Do not hire this company.

Began process late Aug 2025 with salesperson, contracted in Sept 2025, started 1st week Jan 2026, completion date of late May 2026. Way too long! Oaks/Graves has extremely POOR communication between departments, which led to multiple periods of waiting and caused undue stress for homeowner during entire process. First attempt, led by Rani (Oaks). No one at Graves happened to mention that Oaks bought out Graves, so when Oaks showed up we thought perhaps job was subcontracted out. Rani's crew worked 1st week of January (during heavy snowstorm) of complete roof tear-off, gutters, fascias. Job was done haphazardly and led to severe water in house. Second attempt in late May 2026, led by Anthony Roman (Graves), of partial tear off/re-do was handled professionally and with a better crew with a higher knowledge base and quality of workmanship. With all the delays and problems experienced, I do NOT recommend Graves Bros/Oaks.

I try not to give negative feedback to local businesses, but too many things went wrong on my interaction for gutter installation, so here’s the good and bad: 1. Quoting process was smooth. They were on time, everything was easy, and I got a quote I was satisfied with and decided to moved forward. 2. Scheduling was a nightmare. I had to contact multiple people multiple times to get an ETA for when they were going to show up. It probably took me a week since my main contact went on vacation or something in the middle of this multi-day task that’s apparently a very difficult ask. I finally got an ETA and found out it wouldn’t work for me and had to reschedule. On the new scheduled day and ETA, it was way past the originally estimated time and I had received no communication. I had to contact them myself to find out they were running significantly behind. I had already left home and they had showed up and started work. It apparently never crossed their minds to let me know of this significant delay until I reached out. 3. When they were installing the gutters, there was a section where I had given specific instructions during the quoting process on the location of the downspout that was not being implemented. Thank God I got back home in time to tell them where the downspout was supposed to go or I would’ve had to deal with this nightmare of a company again to get them out to my house and fix it. 4. When it came time to pay, I was presented with a different cost than what I was quoted. They gave me an excuse but it didn’t change the fact that I was told one price and presented with another. In short, I recommend finding a different contractor that has their things figured out. I would’ve saved so much headache if I just paid a random handyman my money instead of what I thought was a professional contractor.

There has been a laughably preposterous amount of shoddy workmanship, unaccountability, and total disregard for urgency since Graves installed a tear-off roof for us in summer of 2023. I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time over the last two years calling, emailing, and waiting for my 'new' roof to be patched up, re-worked, and repaired. Their initial communications were all around building trust, their extensive residential and commercial portfolio, premium materials, and 'Presidential' awards. However, Graves clearly lacked / lacks experience with historic city roofs and has left our home consistently exposed. An 1875 tear-off roof should not have a been an exploratory expedition for such a storied company. Their decision to use unaffiliated and unlicensed workers drew the attention of the city inspector. They have repeatedly sent subcontractors as opposed to their own staff for warranty repairs. Put simply, our house is worse off since using Graves. The summarized unfortunate events: - Initial roof install April 2023 - Work stops for hours due to unlicensed subcontractors / no permit - Attorney intervenes on initial work and work is completed 8/23-9/23 - Warranty repair (wind) 2/24 - Warranty repair (rear flat roof leak) 6/24 - Warrantly repair (of new gutters and downspouts) 6/24 - Warranty repair (interior from flat roof leak) 7/24 - Warranty repair (chimney leak into second floor bathroom) 4/25 - Warranty repair fix prior chimney repair, fix missed gutter placement, fix mis-aligned gutter 8/25 I am currently still waiting for interior repairs caused by this significant chimney flashing leak in April of 2025 and the following outstanding Items: - Interior repair from chimney leak - No explanation for bubbling on EPDM flat roof - No explanation for top-most sloped roof existing gutter removal - No explanation for keeping French drain / downspout on now covered low-sloped rear roof While I am appreciative of the repairs, I was hoping this substantial investm

I initially signed the contract with Grave Brothers after speaking with a representative who was courteous and appeared trustworthy. Unfortunately, my experience deteriorated once the actual roofing work began. The project was subcontracted to a third-party crew who spoke no English, which created a serious communication barrier—especially when shingles began hitting my windows during the tear-off. The dumpster driver damaged my fence, and although the company claimed it was repaired, it was merely pushed inward to avoid replacing broken parts. Security footage confirms this. When my father—co-owner of the property—called to follow up, the company refused to revisit the issue, claiming the repair already cost $700, despite no visible evidence of new materials or real repair. The aftermath of the roofing job left my lower gutters filled with debris, my window screens torn or bent (all recently installed), and my vinyl siding and driveway damaged. Even worse, the metal flashing under the roof was torn off and never replaced. When I asked about this, they offered to reinstall it for an extra $200—blaming rotted wood, despite it being intact prior to their work. I escalated the matter to the BBB, and the company simply stated they “try not to damage property.” Though they offered to reinstall the flashing, they refused to match the original white color. I declined, as I no longer trust them on my property. They also billed me $461 for an extra roll of roofing, despite the numerous unresolved issues and additional costs I now face from hiring other professionals to repair the damage. This was my first roofing experience, and unfortunately, I chose the wrong company. If I had the financial means, I would pursue legal action. I do not recommend Grave Brothers for any services.

Came and pulled all gutters off then due to weather did not replace any of them for a month, leaving my house open to the elements. (I understand weather but rather than pulling them all off, they could have pulled them off as they were adding the new.) They kept saying they'd come the next day then would ghost. Had to call the office to follow up multiple times. Once completed, long screws were all over my driveway within a week from the gutters coming loose. They had to come reattach them. They also installed extremely short downspouts which were hanging in the air. After other contractors made comments about them and asking Graves to correct, they then put in obnoxiously, unnecessarily long downspouts. This was at the beginning of the year. I now have another contractor looking at my roof making comments about how they did the bare minimum to attach the gutters which I'm sure will now cost me this winter. To say I'm livid after a 6-7k job is an understatement. Do NOT be thrown off by the positive reviews because that's what brought me here too. The gentlemen who came to my house to estimate were very kind but the team they send out for the job doesn't care.

Graves Brothers did a fantastic job repairing my roof and also went above and beyond to help me cut back some branches that were encroaching on the roof and siding. All three of the guys they sent - Alan Mackenzie, David Cremen, and Julian Malkovich - were hard workers, experts in their trade, and gentlemen. Hopefully my roof will be good for a while, but when I need help again I will be calling Graves Brothers!

We’ve used Graves Brothers several times now. They are exceptionally professional, quick to respond, thorough in their work, friendly on the job and in the office, and stand by their excellent work.
