  Buyer beware! After seeking bids from multiple roofers in Grand Junction, we selected GJ Roofing to replace our roof in Fruita. The salesperson, Deb, was enthusiastic about winning the project. Then, the wheels came off. Her communication was abject, and we waited weeks for responses to emails regarding scheduling. The roofers requested that we not park in the driveway for one day, while they removed the existing roof, which was perfectly understandable, and is a request that we readily agreed to. The roofing team then proceeded to leave their equipment in the driveway for five days after the job was complete, making the driveway unusable. This was unacceptable and avoidable. When notified about this, Deb took nearly a week to respond and have the issue addressed. We were subsequently very displeased that the roofing team did not use any magnets to ensure that all nails were properly collected. To ensure the safety of our own property, our pets, and our visitors, we were forced to purchase an industrial-grade magnet. Upon using the magnet through our yard and the flower beds, we recovered more than five handfuls of nails that were not collected, even though this was part of the Contract. When Deb was notified of this additional concern, she became combative and defensive, instead of listening to the customer‘s concerns- even though we expressed that our property has cameras and the footage substantiates their deficient work. Daniel and Jose both called to discuss and attempted to make things right; Jose even called from the roof to state that our roofing job was, “a perfect storm” of errors by his team. During this visit, he also collected even more discarded nails that had filled our gutters and were being flushed down with each rain event. While we appreciated his accountability, the effort required to get GJ Roofing to communicate, perform the service for which they were Contracted (and paid fully for), and the unprofessional manner in which their salesperso

Addressing Specific Concerns: Communication & Scheduling: We acknowledge and apologize for the "abject" communication from our salesperson, regarding scheduling and project updates. Waiting weeks for an email response is unacceptable, and we understand your frustration completely. We are reviewing our internal communication protocols and staff training immediately to ensure this does not happen again. Equipment in Driveway: Leaving equipment in your driveway for five days after the job's completion, making it unusable, was a preventable and inexcusable error in project management. We apologize for the inconvenience and delay in resolving this issue. Nail Collection & Clean-up: This is perhaps the most serious failure. The safety of your property, family, and pets is paramount. The fact that you were forced to purchase your own equipment and subsequently recovered more than five handfuls of nails is a clear failure to meet the contractual obligation for clean-up. We are very sorry that you had to take this action. Our Commitment to Resolution: We are aware that Jose and our owners contacted you and acknowledged these failures. Jose's statement that your job was a "perfect storm" of errors underscores the severity of the internal failures that occurred.   Grand Junction Roofing recently replaced our roof along with the recommended number of vents. We had defective shingles on a 7-yr roof, and Terrell Binkley with GJ Roofing took care of us step-by-step thru the process of filling out the online forms required by the shingle manufacturer, shipping a few defective shingles to the manufacturer, receiving a prorated check from the manufacturer all the way to the completed installation of a new roof. If you need a new roof, we highly recommend Terrell Binkley with GJ Roofing.
