  We paid Good News Roofing to install a new roof on our property, and the experience was extremely frustrating. Instead of communicating with us—the actual clients—they chose to communicate more with the buyers, which is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. This led to misinformation being shared that almost caused our deal to fall apart. This lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism is unacceptable—especially in a real estate transaction where timing and accuracy are critical. I would strongly recommend getting everything in writing and managing communication very carefully if you choose to work with them.

  We would like to take a moment to respond because we take our reputation very seriously, and work hard to handle every transaction with professionalism, transparency, and extreme integrity. We would like the opportunity to explain our side of this situation. We inspected a roof for Linda on March 3, 2026. Linda was the realtor representing the seller, and also indicated that she was a partial owner of the home. We found that the roof was in need of replacement, and sent Linda a quote for replacement and reviewed our findings with her on March 6, 2026. Linda indicated that she would likely not be replacing the roof, and that it would be up to the buyers of the home. We did not hear back from Linda despite several follow up attempts. On March 18, 2026, our company received a call independently from the buyer in the transaction. He was considering purchasing the home and wanted a roof inspection and estimate. We independently provided our recommendation to the buyer, as well as the same bid we provided the seller. At this point, we alerted the seller that the buyer had contacted us, and let them know we would be sharing the same bid and recommendation to the buyer. As roofing professionals, our role is to provide honest evaluations and help homeowners make informed decisions. Despite the challenges that arose throughout the transaction, we continued to approach the project with professionalism and remained focused on delivering quality workmanship and helping all parties move the project forward. We reduced our pricing to assist both sides, included several sheets of decking at no additional charge, constructed a new chimney cricket at no cost because it was necessary for a proper roofing system, and even painted the large second-story chimney free of charge so the homeowners would not need to hire an additional contractor.   The initial work and customer service was great until 2 years later. They came and resealed and put new screws in the flashings on the roof. They ended up using the wrong screws on rubber flashings which over time caused the flashings to have a bigger issue and now I am having to have someone come and replace rotted wood because they created bigger leaks from what they did. Will not be recommending or using them in the future.
