  We noticed our roof was really starting to show its age, and after a storm knocked a few shingles off we figured it was time. Got GC Roofing out for an estimate and they had someone here within a couple days. The guy was upfront about what needed doing and didn't try to pad the quote. We'd collected a few other bids and the roofers around Villa Park were all over the place on price, but GC came in fair and honestly seemed to know their stuff better than the rest. After booking we got a solid date and kept us up to speed as it got closer. The crew turned up at the start of the morning and got straight into the tear off. It was a loud couple of days, no way around that, but they stayed organized and covered up the landscaping before they touched anything. You could see the new roof coming together as it went on. At the end they walked me around to show the flashing and vents they'd redone and checked that I was good with everything. No mess in the yard when they left and the roof has stayed dry through several storms since. Glad we picked them.

  we had a leak that showed up in the garage ceiling and kept getting worse. gc showed up and tracked it back to failed flashing and worn shingles near the edge. they didnt just patch it, they went after the root of it and replaced the section around it. the water stain hasnt spread since and its rained a bunch. price was fair for the work and the crew cleaned up after themselves before leaving. glad we got it handled before it got into the walls!

  Started getting some shingles in the yard after a windy stretch this past spring and figured it was probably time to stop patching and do the whole roof. Spent a weekend reading reviews and checking out a few different companies that service the Lombard area before settling on GC. They came out within a few days to do the estimate and the guy actually got on the roof, took pictures, showed me a few things I hadn't noticed from the ground including some lifted shingles on the back side. Estimate was emailed over the next morning, broken out clearly. We picked our shingle color from samples he left with us. Install day they had a big crew, six or seven guys, and they moved fast. By dinner time the old roof was gone and the new one was on. Came back the next day to finish the ridge cap and clean up. Whole thing was a lot less painful than I'd built it up to be.

  We had this annoying leak by the chimney that would show up every time it rained hard. Tried to ignore it for a while but it kept getting worse. GC Roofing checked it out and said the flashing had gone bad. They fixed it in one day, and we've been through some nasty storms around Lombard this spring with zero issues. Pretty relieved to not have to put a bucket out anymore.

  Our house is from the mid 70s and the roof was original, so yeah it was time. started looking into companies around march and talked to probably four or five before landing on GC Roofing. What pushed us toward them was the timeline honestly they said they could get us on the schedule within two weeks and actually followed through. The morning they showed up my daughter was losing her mind watching the guys tear off the old shingles from her bedroom window lol. whole thing was loud obviously but they worked fast. We went with architectural shingles, darker brown tone that matches the brick better than the old faded gray ones. The foreman walked me around after and pointed out where they replaced some rotted fascia board on the back side of the house, which i didnt even know about til they got up there. Four months in now and the attic stays noticeably cooler which was unexpected

  Been putting off a full roof replacement for like two years because the quotes I was getting were insane. A buddy at work mentioned GC Roofing so I figured why not get one more estimate. The guy who came out was super straightforward about what actually needed replacing vs what could stay, which none of the other companies bothered to break down for me. Scheduling was fast, maybe a week and a half out from signing. Day of they had a whole crew up there before 8am which I was not ready for lol. Took them two days total and the second day was mostly cleanup and finishing the ridge caps. The shingles look really solid, went with a darker charcoal color my neighbor keeps roasting me about but I like it. One thing that stood out was they kept me updated through text which worked way better for me since I'm at work during the day. Already got through a couple heavy rainstorms with zero issues so thats good enough for me.

  The guys from gc roofing did a killer job on our new gutters and downspouts last week they showed up right at 7am and didn't leave a single scrap of metal or old debris in the yard.its rare to find a crew that cleans up that well, the price was exactly what they quoted us too.
