  I never got past the quote part of this company. I brought them for a quote because I saw their ads all over YouTube. Gino showed up an hour before we scheduled it. Everything looked alright. We almost went with the company until gino made the mistake of asking my wife how far along she is... she's not. How a grown man in sales is stupid enough to ask a woman that question is beyond me. A week later he called and asked my wife if we had made a decision and when we said we took our business elsewhere he got defensive and very pushy on why we should go with them. Glad I went elsewhere

  Firon did a great job on our roof a few years ago — punctual, professional, communicative. That's why the last two months have been so disappointing. In late May I approved a quote to replace a bathroom exhaust vent. That was the priority, and I said so from the start. Since then: repeated reschedules, near-zero proactive communication (every update came because I chased it), and an email addressed to the wrong customer entirely. After a few delays, with a scheduled date of "today" - I wrote them early to note "Cars are moved out of the driveway, we're ready for you!". In response, I received a wall of text explaining that my job was further delayed, and in fact keeps slipping because it's a low-priority "seasonal" project and has some expected "elasticity" until Winter — referring to some snow guards that were always a minor add-on, not the vent I've been trying to get done since May. I moved the cars back into the driveway, now I'm looking elsewhere (while wondering what might have happened had I not written them). Getting the priorities of a job backwards, for two months, is not a weather problem. It's a communication and follow-through problem. Great roofers; poor planning and communication.

  I had trouble navigating the website and tried a number of the options on there to contact the company for an estimate. They either did not seem to work or went into the ether. As an older guy and with a condition that makes understanding my voice very difficult by telephone, I shy away from using the telephone. I finally tried a phone call, but the nice lady could not understand me. I was very frustrated over a 24-hour period. Then I received an email in response to one of my on-line requests for a quote. Since then, the company has been excellent and very responsive. I could only suggest that the website be made easier to use for us old (and impatient) folks and perhaps allow an email direct contact for those who are voice challenged.

  There is no worse feeling than being completely taken advantage of. I hired Firon Roofing after getting four quotes. They weren’t the cheapest, but I went with them because they’re one of the bigger, more well-known companies in Ottawa and I thought that meant I’d get honesty and good work. I completely regret that decision. Total contract price was $13,800 tax included. I have the simplest roof on a 1972 bungalow - basically a 61’ x 40’ area on a modest slope. On day 1 of 3, their 2-man crew showed up and started the job. By around 10 a.m., the back half of the roof was stripped when I got a knock on the door. I was told the existing plywood was too soft and that I now needed to re-sheet the entire roof with 71 sheets of 1/2" plywood. They sent me an email with the extra cost price - $12,995 (tax in) just for the plywood work. And I was told that if I didn’t agree, there would be no warranty on the new shingles. How can that price make sense to lay new plywood right on top of the old? The original roof job involved the removal and disposal of the old roof, new shingles, underlayment, ice shield, and three days of labour. How does two extra hours laying down new plywood equate to $12,995? The same plywood at Home Depot is about $46.30 tax included, and somehow I am being charged about $183.03 tax included per sheet. To make it worse, I wasn’t even at home. I was at my son’s school for a Remembrance Day ceremony when the project manager called and texted asking for an answer. Roof half open, warranty on the line, my kid’s school ceremony going on, and I’m being pushed to make a rushed decision on almost $13K of extra work. I called back as soon as I got to my car and said how ridiculous the price was. I was told the price per sheet was their “standard price.” Within minutes, the price suddenly dropped by $2,000, down to $10,995 (tax in). If the first number was fair, how does it drop that fast just because I pushed back? It really felt like they were seeing ho

  I would give no stars if that were possible. This young group of gentlemen are unprofessional and inconsiderate. Boycott boycott boycott The contact is under my husbands name. We had our roof done last week. Had several issues with the crew and will be following up with a complaint through the Better Business Bureau.

They were very easy to deal with, they gave a detailed estimate, started on time, communicated all concerns and finished when they said they would.   Great roof replacement experience from start to finish. Mitchell and Jesse made sure scheduling went smoothly. A special thanks to Marc who spotted a roof ventilation issue that no other contractor had previously identified. Really glad to have gotten that fixed. The workmanship of the team was top-notch, and clean-up was spotless.

  We recently had the pleasure of Firon Roofing completing a full roof replacement including the addition of new eavestrough. All staff we dealt with were professional, knowledgeable, explained various options prior to work beginning. Outstanding communication with process, answering all our questions prior to job starting. We were notified of arrival time (crew were always on time), explained work to be completed for the day. Explained work that had been completed. Thorough cleanup at end of day, Very happy with whole process. Highly recommend Firon for any roofing and or eavestrough projects.

  I don't even know where to start. Front roofing went above and beyond to fix my roof. It ended up being a larger job than expected because when the shingles came off the roof underneath was not even completed from the last roof job. They worked for days and long hours to fix my roof and it looks wonderful and I'm excited for no more leaks. They also found my bathroom fan outlet was covered in shingles and they fixed that too. They worked with us for financing the job as well as it ended up being a much bigger job than expected. Thank you so much Firon Roofing! ❤️
