Another company that doesn't know how to read or just doesn't care. There is a sign on the residence "No Soliciting" Well the kid on his electric scooter decides to ignore that, shove a business card for "Storm Riis" and proceeds to start knocking on the door. Not just once though, repeatedly knocking while there was some home school state testing happening, so thanks for that! EZ Roofing....reading optional.

Now that I have won in small claims court, I will address the owner’s comments on my review: The flat roof listed that was a “gift” from EZ Roofing for $1,200, was actually covered by insurance and did not cost EZ Roofing a dime. I have at least 3 text messages saying it was covered by insurance, from the owner. That is the same guy saying he “gifted it”, “from the goodness of his heart”. They did not, in any way, provide me free roofing. And just to mention, my new roof has since leaked, and I’ve had to have someone repair it. I don’t know about the owner’s heart, but he is a piece of work for sure. He mentions a $200 credit for a ‘heat wave’ delaying the roof repair. It was actually a $350 credit, for a delay because of heat, but the workers had already been delayed twice and the day they did work was the same temperature as the day they didn’t come, much like many other days that summer. Regardless I didn’t complain about them not showing up, I had no problem with a 3-day delay, was not a big deal to me. In regards to “going above and beyond”, not only did they not go above and beyond, they took 5 months to repair my fence (that I had mentioned when I signed my contract and MANY other times, was priority 1 because it protects my dogs). I signed my contract at the end of June, they finished my fence in December. The referral fee that he said they “did not win the job or complete it” is why we went to court. I gave EZ Roofing my dad’s contact information for them to repair his roof. I would get a $500 (not a $650) credit towards my out-of-pocket expenses (my home insurance deductible of $1,000). They did not contact my dad in over a month and a half. Therefore, he was forced to find a different contractor. EZ Roofing dropped the ball and offered to honor the credit because it was their mistake. However, when it came time to finalize the payment on my account, they refused to honor the credit. They were in error and owed me the credit. THE JUDGE IN SMAL

Update: This customer did not “win” in small claims court. A judgement was made against her. (End update) This customer was gifted a flat roof ($1,200 value) for completely free when their insurance only paid for the main roof. This was done out of the kindness of the owner’s heart. Joey was also provided a $200 credit, without being requested, due to a heat wave delaying the roof by a day. The guys were risking their health by working so we had to let them take this extremely hot day off. There was no issue whatsoever. We went above and beyond for her during her project, yet she did not show any appreciation for this at the time. We cannot afford to provide free roofing very often, as we are a small business, but we wanted to make sure she would have a great roof, even though we were not obligated to replace this flat portion and it was not expected of us by her. This was not enough for Joey, as she demanded a $600 referral fee for a job that she referred us, but we did not win the job or complete it. Why would we pay a referral to someone in that case? Joey is a well paid data analysts and has the money to pay us, yet refuses. When she has a looming court date that will determine a just judgement, she then decides to leave us a 1 star review. We are really disappointed that it has come to this. God knows what we have done has been right for Joey and we have treated her with respect. Anyone reading this should know that we put our customers first, always.

Company puts wrong color shingles on house after communication stating color requested then puts another color on. This company tells the customer they are not going to change or make it right. They then further try to get more money out of the customer for placing a bad rating and reporting the company for bad services and customer services. Can you say…distortion!

We have no customer under this first or last name in our system and have not had anything even remotely similar to this scenario happen. You can also see this reviewer lives in Missouri. This is not a review for EZ Roofing, it must have been posted to the wrong business. We always make things right. Also, look at how many 1 star ratings they leave businesses.

Price gougers. Be careful with the contract.

    Reply from the business

Spencer’s mother’s roof was leaking immediately following a tornado that caused massive damage. While we were tarping hundreds (and now thousands) of roofs, we knew people still deserved attention outside of the major damage. We provided a quote for an emergency tarp with same day service, something the insurance would happily pay for and at a fair price. We were not even asking for the tarp to be paid for out of pocket, we told them we would wait to be reimbursed by their insurance, which is very fair and frankly uncommon. Most contractors ask to be paid out immediately because there is no guarantee that they would be paid otherwise. With that said, Spencer was not happy with the price and while he had claimed that he wanted his mothers home protected from further water intrusion and that her home was invaluable to him - he elected to not have us tarp it and it leaked more this same night and went untarped days after. In response to being careful with contracts - this doesn’t make sense because everything was explained to him and our contracts are standard and we are fully transparent about the insurance process. With that said, two of our Reps went and spoke to Spencer after this review to try and understand his sudden change in opinion and it was clear that his mind was made up and any logical reasoning or explanation of the tarping price did not matter to him. They even went as far as googling the price of a standard emergency tarp to show him that we were within range, but he did not care for third party references, as he had his mind made up, due to another roofing company that had seen our roofing sign in their yard and offered him a lower (non emergency) tarping price to steal our business. Bear in mind, this company, while a respectable and quality business, did not intend on tarping same day or within days, so this explains the price difference as well. Keep in mind, as mentioned earlier, the roof leaked this same day after we offered to tarp it

TL:DR. They got the job done (except some siding damage still remaining from their crew), but left off some things they quoted, missed on communication, and I felt the owner was fairly disingenuous. Full situation: A door-to-door rep came to my home after a wind storm we got in early July (possibly late June), 2023, that gave us some damage. The sales rep was great --responsive, present (she came on sight several times throughout the process), clear in her communication. She sent me an email July 10th, 2023, outlining what we were going to do, bullet by bullet. All sounded great. First yellow flag: I was told I was going to get handed off to a PM and start working with this person. They never came on-site, they were slow to respond, and I'd have to nudge them via our sales rep to get traction. The crew came out as planned and did the work. Second yellow flag: The crew was unaware they were to do both my house *and* my workshop, which was clearly on the scope. Disconnect internally. Third yellow flag: The project manager assigned to me was terminated or left the company before my inspection could be complete, so the sales rep (to her credit) came out. I got up on my roof with her and we walked around a bit and talked. She clearly wasn't qualified to do an inspection, but I didn't make a big deal out of this to her of the owner. We noticed some damage to my siding under one of my second-level windows. No big deal, she documented it well and said it would be fixed. First lawn mow I did after getting my roof replaced, I picked up a nail in my mower tire. No big deal. It happens. I reached out to EZ Roofing, and got in touch with the owner. He offered to compensate me $75 dollars for the tire (the repair was $40), and would have a team out asap to run their magnet over the yard again. REG FLAG: The worker that came out was told about my mower tire and asked why it was so expensive to fix. After some back and forth, we realized that I had been charged $40 to fix

I’m trying to save you a headache from EZ Roofing. First, they only have good reviews because they beg you to take down the bad ones and promise to make it right. When they approached us they laid out everything on a gold platter and we were really impressed by the promises. They were going to be on our sides and fight to get everything done til the end. Well they did our roof and we stopped hearing from them. The roofers damaged our gutters, our siding was not completed, we just had sub contractors randomly show up at our house weeks/months later. The dollar amounts kept increasing and they kept going after our insurance with supplements for different things. The subcontractors received complaints from other customers of EZ Roofing with the same concerns. The owner showed up at our house once to leave a siding sample in which we asked for him to let us know when he arrived and he just hid the sample on the side of our house, never knew he was there until a few days later. We have an outdoor storage building with a leak and the owner told us our insurance declined to fix it because the roof was not installed right from the manufacturer according to him, well our insurance told us today that EZ Roofing never even filed a claim. Please take my advice and find another roofing company. My husband is getting ready to retire from the Air Force and here we are dealing with this mess and trying to sell our house with our mismatched siding. If you still choose to go with them please watch very carefully!!

Thank you for providing feedback. I'm Joseph, the owner, and I've been involved with different aspect of your project, from its inception to its completion. Below, I'll address each point you've raised: 1. Historically, our system automatically triggered review requests upon marking a job as "Completed." It's important to clarify that we've never incentivized the removal of reviews with gift cards. Our only request in such instances has been to address any issues first before considering a review's removal, which we believe is a fair and reasonable practice. We have a lot of good reviews because we are a great company. We’ve only ever gotten a handful of bad reviews after doing thousands of roofs and only a total two reviews have been taken down, ever. 2. Regarding the shed roof, despite the absence of storm damage, we extended an offer to replace it at cost, with no profit to us, as a gesture of goodwill. This offer was declined. Our assessment suggests that the issues with the shed stem from improper installation practices rather than storm damage, which is a common occurrence, particularly on steep roofs with improperly installed shingles. 3. We invested considerable resources in retrieving and submitting the siding sample for testing, hoping for approval. Despite our efforts, approval was not obtained due to the siding still being in production and available. Subsequently, we discussed with Mr. Maxwell the feasibility of a repair solution, as it became apparent that obtaining approval was uncertain. As agreed, we proceeded with the repair accordingly. 4. The decision to conceal the siding sample was made to ensure it remained secure and intact, preventing it from being blown away or disposed of. 5. In response to damage caused to your gutters, we took responsibility and replaced them at our expense. Even though they were severely damaged by hail and your insurance had already paid for them to be replaced, we covered all expenses to replace the gutters to

We are very disappointed with the customer service and quality of work done. This has been a more than 2 month nightmare of an ordeal without a positive resolution. The original inspector, Brittany, was great. She was professional, got the ball rolling with insurance, and kept us up to date on what was going on. Then the installers came. After they had finished and left, my husband was inspecting the work and noticed that one of the whirly bird was crooked, as well as one of the other fixtures sticking out of the roof. It wasn't that big of a deal, but clearly needed to be adjusted. He also noticed the fascia on the side of our house looked terrible. It was sloppy and uneven. We contacted Marcus, who came out and looked and agreed that it needed to be fixed. We were informed that a new supplemental insurance claim needed to be filed because the uneven fascia was possibly caused by damage that was not previously noticed. After a week or so, and no contact, we tried to contact Marcus unsuccessfully. After a couple weeks, we started getting payment notifications, threatening collections if balance was not paid. Yes, I fully expect to pay in full for a completed to satisfaction, roof. Ours is not completed. We called and left several messages, and finally got a return call from someone saying that Marcus wasn't with them anymore. More talk about another insurance claim. We checked USSA and no claim had been filed. We finally get a call and we're told the owner will be coming to our house to see what's going on, and get things taken care of. Thurs 9/7. Husband tells them to please call and give a time since he would be working from home and in meetings all day. They said ok. Never showed that day. Apparently showed up with no notice at 745 that evening. We weren't there to answer. After discussion today, we are informed that they will come by our home Saturday to collect payment, and that no further work will be done, as it is not their fault. We will pay, but we will a

This review is omitting the fact that we fixed any minor issues (such as a mildly crooked furnace vent) and also redid the drip edge to the customers very specific liking - which is actually welcome and appreciated. We have no problem with accommodating a customer’s request for how they’d like something done. We never did any fascia work and the damages / sloppiness she is referencing were cause by hail damage and not covered by insurance. We did submit photos to the insurance for This, but we cannot force them to make payment if they do not wish to. While we were late to the home, it was a busy day and there was no time scheduled. There were multiple people seen in the home so I am unsure as to why they wouldn’t answer. In summary, this review is an extremely dramatized take on an otherwise very mild situation that we were happy to rectify with them. Thank you for your time -Joseph

My experience with EZ Roofing was terrible. To start off, I was contacted by Marcus asking when I would like to get started on the roof. I told him July 17 would work best. He told me that works for him. So the night before I’m supposed to get a new roof, I get a message saying we need to push it back one day so they will start on July 18th. The night before, I got another message saying we needed to push it back another day. So now the new start day is the 19th. I texted him the night before and asked when they planned on starting so I could have my driveway cleared. He responds, "They should be there around 10-11 sir! They will knock your roof out". They didn’t show up until 3pm. So they get started, and I’m thinking they must be really fast if they’re starting at 3pm and it’s going to get done today. It’s 9pm and they still aren’t done, mean while my dogs are inside, they need to go outside to use the bathroom, and there are nails everywhere in my yard. They knocked on my door at 9pm and said they would finish up tomorrow. They didn’t clean up the yard at all, so I had to pick up my German shepherds and walk through the nails to the back part of my property so they could use the bathroom for the night. The next day, they show up at 7am to finish the roof, which they get done at 3pm. When I get home from work, I see that they threw the old wind turbines on the other side of the fence into the trees and threw nails over the fence. They also put up the wrong color drip edge. When I picked the colors, I asked for the color that matched my fascia. They installed black I contacted Marcus and told him they put the wrong color on he said I ordered the right color the supplier must have messed up. A couple days later, he brings out another color, and they install it, and it’s still the wrong color. I contacted Marcus again and told him they had installed the wrong color again. He brings out another color, and it’s still wrong. He said, I guess we don’t have the color then

Update: We have gotten the fascia, metal siding trim and gutters approved by the insurance for hail damage. The homeowner has received the money for these items. We have tried countless times to reach out via phone, text, and mail to repair these items approved. It appears that the homeowner has decided to keep the money. We have done everything to make things right and feel confident that this has been handled professionally. (End update) We are currently working with Brandon, who is one of our valued customers, to reach a satisfying conclusion and are confident that we will be able to turn this 1 star around and have Brandon’s experience turn into a positive one with us. The owner of EZ Roofing recently went to the property to remove the turbine from behind the fence himself. During this time, he also marked up and took a multitude of photos of the fascia which will ultimately be replaced for the homeowner. Our customers satisfaction with our service is our #1 priority

Watched this company roof my neighbor's house. Was so impressed with their job site management and the care they took. Used netting to shroud the windows and catch debris. Used a lift for supplies and transport. Put 2 wavy banners in the yard for advertising during install. Worked quietly and diligently without loud music or yelling. Impressed.

I recently had my roof replaced and had a great experience working with this company. The communication throughout the entire process was excellent—they kept me informed every step of the way and made everything very easy to understand. Cameron and Aaron were especially great to work with. They both were very professional, responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The whole process was very organized and stress-free. The roofing crew did a fantastic job, and I was really impressed with how well they cleaned up after the work was completed. You could hardly tell they had been there aside from the brand new roof. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing work done.
