Do not do business with this company. Their work is poor. See attached photos of gutter guard installation issues and lack of interest on their part to make things right. Thankfully Deer Park Roofing came in and cleaned up after them with a beautiful installation. The first 6 photos are images that show gaps and where flexseal is pushed under drip guard instead of laid flat OVER drip guard to meet manufacturer installation specs and warranty coverage, as well as sheet metal screws that are fastened more than 30" apart when installation instructions clearly state they should be no more than 24" apart. The last 6 photos show proper installation of gutter guards by Deer Park Roofing. Their installation meets warranty guidelines and Exteriors Unlimited does not. Pictures don't lie. Do yourself a favor and bypass Exteriors Unlimited for your gutter guard work. I would add that Mr McCoy is a liar. The very day his crew did their work I emailed him and told me he needed to come to my house and talk to me about the work they did. He responded that he would come over and fix the issues. I certainly expected that he would call, text, or email me about WHEN he intended to come over. He only informed me that he came over and put in access panels over downspouts and fixed a few other things when neither my wife or i were home. Mr McCoy continues to simply IGNORE the fact that his work was done poorly. Instead of addressing the flexseal issues and the spacing of screws on the gutters, which he knows both were lousy, he simply makes personal attacks on me. In my complaint to the BBB, I told him to call me and come and get his gutter guards. He can reinstall them (hopefully correctly) on another house.

    Reply from the business

First of all, let me say that my business has been doing residential exterior work for 50 years (and me personally for almost 30 years). I've always taken very good care of my customers, hence the excellent reputation and reviews of my business over those many years. I'm pretty selective about my projects and have managed to work with many reasonable, rational people over the years, but every now and then I run across a client like Mr Gruber who seems to expect everything to be absolutely perfect even though his house is old and not perfect, and for whatever reason, creates a “mountain out of a mole hole” when any issues could have easily been rationally discussed and resolved. Instead, here we are. Our work, our follow-up rework, and my explanation to Mr Gruber were not enough for him, so he demanded his money back and I told him I’d remove the product from his house if he wanted, and he could move on. It certainly seemed like he was trying to get something for nothing. I was not able to reasonably and rationally get through to him at all, so that was my offer to him. I had already spent more than double the amount of his deposit on the product and labor involved with the project, and the deposit was not going to be refunded. In fact, I’m not exactly happy that he hasn’t paid the $1664 balance due for the work, and quite frankly I’m the one who should have a platform to complain, post a 1-star review for him as a customer, and demand payment for the job completed. It’s a shame we couldn’t work this out, and I hate when things come to this, and for me at least, this was certainly avoidable if Mr Gruber had simply picked up the phone to discuss this with me. Not once did he do that.

This person was illegally parked in our lot where it clearly stated on a sign that there was no parking. It was a shady beat up looking vehicle from out of state and when I asked the driver to please move on after about 20 minutes, he called me an a**hole and told me to f*#! off and abruptly left, going through the grass in front of our business. In no way is this person related to anything we do as a business, and although I requested that the review be removed multiple times, Google would not do so. Please ignore this review when considering our business. Thank you.

Jeff and his crews did an excellent job installing two beautifully crafted entry doors, new siding, a 'dry deck' system, and new gutters. All work was performed professionally and with quality materials. I highly recommend them.

Jeff and crew did some exterior trim repairs on my house. very well done especially on a house that I affectionally call the cliff house....i.e. very difficult and dangerous to reach certain areas.

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job installing a beautiful front entry door, a side entry door, and siding. He has great attention to detail and takes great pride in his work. His crew is meticulous and cleaned up very well at the end of each day. They incredibly reliable and punctual, too. Jeff is the best contractor we have ever worked with and I would highly recommend him for door, siding, window work etc. We couldn’t be happier with the excellent job Jeff did.
