  I do not recommend this company for your roof. I hired them thinking it would be a smooth process, but it was the exact opposite. Prior to installation, they didn’t properly evaluate the damage. When I had another company service my AC unit, they found a roof leak in my attic. I informed Ernie Smith & Sons, and they confirmed decking damage. My roof was installed anyway weeks later, and I was told by Emanuel that everything was complete after a “walkthrough” done the next day. A week later, heavy rainfall caused my laundry room to flood. I called Emanuel, and he casually said he’d come later that day and send a contractor the next day—there was no sense of urgency despite water pouring into my house. I had to demand someone come out immediately. When Emanuel arrived, I showed him a very obvious hole in my roof (visible from the side of the house). His crew had failed to install a ventilation pipe! Emanuel also claimed the attic damage had been fixed during the roof installation—but it hadn’t. Yet, the job was marked as complete. I then received a text from Julia (not even a call) saying I owed thousands more and asking if I could settle THAT day! She even emailed my insurance company claiming the work was done! I had to personally contact my insurance representative to correct this. Julia (or anyone to be exact) never once called to confirm if I was satisfied, had questions, or had any concerns. This company seems to be run entirely by sales representatives. I have yet to speak to an actual contractor, and I’ve had to beg for management to reach out. When Luis from management finally called, he admitted they would now have to remove a portion of the roof they just installed to fix the decking. When I asked why this wasn’t addressed prior to installation, he couldn’t give me an answer.I now have to hire a 3rd party to evaluate their work and ensure the issues are properly resolved because I am contractually bound and cannot walk away.   Fantastic work and very professional. Roof was completed in one day. I had a battle with my insurance company for 6 months and Ernie Smith & Sons helped me the entire time. Without them I wouldn't have a new roof right now. Thank you all so much!
