  Paid for a new roof and asked for all the bad fascia to be replaced. They did most of it, but when I pointed out another section that needed replacement, they turned it into a separate charge. If a company can’t stand behind its work and honor what was discussed, you can’t trust them to do the job right. Would not recommend.

  Apparently not in need of work. While other companies came back to me with revised estimates from April with a 5-10% reduction in price Earl Johnston sent me a revised estimate for 25% higher than they originally quoted.

  I had a mixed experience with this company and the only reason for the 2 stars is the salesman positive attitude and great communication skills (and he is not to blame for any of this since the buck stops with the owner). For the last several months the quotes just kept changing; yes granted I requested few modifications but those were not the reason behind the significant quotes price increase. First the price increased significantly for some inexplicable reasons and I accepted that because that was due to some delay from my end due to some unforeseen illness challenges. Then they claimed that they changed their roof installation standard, so the price went up few thousand dollars, then they said that they need to change all the duplex pitched roof decking from T&G to plywood sheetings (because they "believe" that most of their new installations leaks were due to T&G which is non sense, my roof T&G is over 60 years old and still looks like new so maybe their leak issues are due to poor workmanship installation) otherwise they would honor only 2 years warranty instead of 5 years; keep in mind this is for a Golden Pledge system installation which one of the TOP system in the country. I would have understood all the other reasons, but to be rated as an elite company (as they claim to be) but unable to cover your work with your own standard warranty is really concerning. And no sir, contrary to your claim, you are not the only company that offers 5 years warranty. In fact other "elite" companies offers even 7, 10 and 12 years warranty in addition to the golden pledge warranty or at a minimum running concurrently. Then they want a window that has been there forever to be moved and it just keeps coming. The amazing thing is that none of these requirements were in the initial few quotes, and what's more interesting is none of the other "reputable" roofing companies have even mentioned any of those requirements nor increased the price for almost $6000.   Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Mauricio. According to our records, your roof was installed in 2011. We did give a 5-year warranty at the time that you accepted, and it has expired. We are not sure what has prompted you to submit this review now, as what you are describing is not the standards we provide. We take pride in providing quality workmanship and customer service. There have been multiple storms since 2011, and we see you called us in 2020, and we offered you a solution at that time, but you did not accept. Other than that, we were not aware of your negative experience. Looking at your photos, we do recommend you have your air conditioning ductwork checked as it may be deterioration causing leaking.   We did need a roofing company, so I’m actually glad I saw how these workers “work”. If you’re a neighbor of someone getting their roof done by these people, be advised. They will: *Use your property as a dumpster *Cat call your underage daughters *Blast music obnoxiously I tried to speak to someone in charge, but she obviously is just as unprofessional if not, worse. Myself and my neighbors have taken note to how unprofessional and chaotic this business is. As well as reported them the BBB. Do not use this company.

  We take great offense to this complaint written by a neighbor of a customer of ours. This type of complaint is not indicative of our business at all, as you can see from the 1,000's of excellent customer services reviews we have received over the last few decades! Construction is noisy, messy and a short-term imposition and the crews work as hard and and as quickly as they can and certainly do not engage in harassing people on the job. The customer who we were performing construction work had this to say about his experience, "They worked quickly and efficiently, and the crew leader Keith was a clear, professional and accurate communicator. They worked very hard to impact my neighbors as little as possible in a zero lot line community which I am sure is difficult at best. I am very happy with Earl W. Johnston Roofing and highly recommend them." Tearing off a roof in Florida in August is no joke, and our crews work very hard to keep the area clean and have the least impact on the neighboring surroundings. They clean up as they go and protect the properties they are working on. These homes are very close together and the crew takes protecting property very seriously. The person who wrote this complaint also verbally complained to the crew and the leader that day did his very best to lessen any impact to the neighbors. It is unfortunate that the temporary act of construction caused this neighbor to be so upset. Please accept the apologies of the entire staff.

  Thank you for the opportunity, however as professional roofers for over 35 years, we assess each job based on the condition of the existing roof, the request of the customer and our ability to meet the customer's request. You communicated to our estimator that you are only interested in replacing a section of the continuous flat roof which has no separating or termination wall between the other areas. Given the condition of the roof we do not recommend cutting into an existing older roof and doing a patch while trying to then tie in the new material to the old. This would create a weak point on the roof and we could not guarantee leaks would not happen. We did suggest replacing the entire roof but you said you were only interested in doing a portion of the roof. We apologize that we were not able to meet your needs and we wish you the best of luck.

  Earl Johnson roofing came to me through a referral. I needed to replace my flat roof to include insulation and tapering to prevent water from pooling. They run a solid and efficient crew that worked daily from sun up to sun down until the job was completed. Earl Johnson is very professional and dedicated to what they do. Even after the work was completed, they returned twice to finalize a few minor repairs. I am very happy with the quality of the roofing job that I received from Earl Johnson and their team and I look forward to working with them in future. Thank you for all of your assistance Ralph!

  After I had three roofing companies I chose to go with Earl W Johnson Roofing because they were honest, reasonably priced and above all did not try to hard sell me on a completely new roof when all I had was a couple perimeter leaks allowing a slow drip near bathroom window during heavy a heavy rain and another over my front roof porch. They also added some flashing between my flat and pitched roof to redirect water from falling near my tankless water heater. On the day the work was scheduled two men showed up on time and began the work immediately and continuously until the work was completely finished about 8 hours later. I also have s tile roof and not one tile was broken to do the repair. I came out to see the progress periodically and was impressed by how professional and polite they were besides the many steps taken to assure a repair that was going to not only remedy the problem, but last a long time. When the job was done the didn’t leave any evidence behind.They hauled away removed materials and left my property as they found it. I was very impressed the the way they handled my roof repair from beginning to end. Everyone from the estimator to the office staff to the two gentlemen that performed the work were very professional and a pleasure to do business with and when its time to do a complete roof replacement Earl W Johnson is the company I will reach out to.Their already high reviews are well deserved.

  Their excellent end-to-end customer communication and care is a first for me in South Florida. The estimate was prompt and fair. The scheduling was straightforward and they accommodated several date changes on my side with grace. They took care to cover the pool and landscape, then cleaned up afterwards so it didn't look like they were even there. There were lots of unknown, unplanned issues found during the reroof (termites, rotten wood, etc.), and they clearly explained my options and additional costs. They also followed up after the project was completed to confirm my complete satisfaction. I would definitely recommend.

  The roof tile crew came in and removed all roof tiles, rain gutters in a quick and efficient manner. (Prior to commence they secured the work site removing all objects from around the house.) Followed on by installing plywood and rain/water proof roof covering materials. From start to finish they did outstanding work. Cleaned up after each job completion. Roof installation passed the required inspection. Overall I am satisfied from the salesman to the workers and office personnel. Great job.
