Dan gave a quick call back with a price for a roof repair and started/completed the work, as promised. Additionally, he walked the roof and repaired a second location at no additional cost. Great experience.

Danny was friendly and professional. He fixed a roof leak we had on a rubber roof that was butted up to a chimney and under a roof deck. It certainly wasn’t a standard problem, but he was able to fix it within a few hours and was able to do it without much impact to the roof deck.

I don’t write reviews very often but this is a real pleasure. My experience with Daniel Fox was terrific. He was friendly, thorough, and very experienced. After inspection he agreed to fit me in and do the job right away. He completed all the slate roof, chimney flashing, rubber roof ,and edge capping at a very very fair price the next dry day. It’s hard to know who to trust with contractor work but you can absolutely trust Daniel Fox for any roofing needs.

Danny and his team are wonderful. I feel like we got a very fair price for work on our slate roof (fixing leaks, replacing and securing some slates). His communication is great. He is super responsive, and he shows up when he says he will, and does exactly what he promised. The work area was pristine when the job was finished. We'd hire him again in a minute. Thanks, Danny!

Danny came as a referral from our realtor and she was right. Danny was very responsive and showed up with a drone within a couple days and shared pictures of our roof. We reached out to multiple roofers to inspect our 100-year-old slate roof for broken, cracked, or loose tiles, and three got back to us, including Danny. Danny came to inspect the roof while we were at work and called afterward to let us know it was in excellent shape, needing only 10–15 slate tiles replaced; his estimate was fair and significantly lower than the other quotes we received. What sold us was how much he genuinely loved our roof and his commitment to maintaining its original aesthetics. Danny and Rocky returned a week later, carefully selecting the best slate tiles to match neighboring ones and even replacing some unbroken tiles to ensure consistent coloration, while also fixing issues left by previous roofers. Now our roof is in perfect condition, and we’re hopeful it will last another 100 years.

We’re thrilled to hear the roof is now in excellent condition, and we hope it protects your home for many more decades to come. What Makes Intermittent Roof Leaks Difficult to Diagnose? Intermittent roof leaks can be difficult to diagnose because water may enter only during certain weather conditions. Professional roof leak detection helps trace moisture paths that may not be visible during a routine inspection. In Newton, MA, changing weather, wind-driven rain, and seasonal temperature shifts can make leaks appear and disappear unexpectedly. Water can also travel along rafters, insulation, or roofing layers before showing inside the home, making the actual entry point hard to locate. Accurate roof leak detection may involve checking flashing, shingles, roof penetrations, and attic moisture patterns. Homes in Newton, MA can benefit from timely inspections before hidden moisture causes structural or interior damage. Need help finding the source of a recurring leak?
