  I have a roof leak resulting in a stained ceiling below a church steeple. I hired GF Sprague to identify the problem and fix it. They told me I had to pay for a crew for a day to step up staging and pefrome the inspection and afterwards they would provide the results of the inspection and a proposal to complete the repair. I paid the the full invoice and it has been 2 weeks since the inspection was complete, but all I have received is a video of a loose panel on the steeple, and no proposal for a repair. $1,500 for someone to climb on the roof and take a short video, which another contractor had already provided for free from their drone.

  I contacted G.F. Sprague for gutter installation. They set up appointment, which I confirmed. They did not show. Rep said he wanted to estimate based on text conversations. He was too busy to meet. Each quote was wrong. Rep couldn't be bothered to meet clearly signaling they didn't care. Long story, my recommendation is to avoid G.F. Sprague. I certainly did and was happy with other company that charged 1/4 what Sprague did.

  After spending 14k to have all of our gutters redone last year, I called GF Sprague because we had a tree come down on our house and damage the gutters the other day. Simply because I mentioned the word "insurance" I was told it was going to be $500 for them to come out and give me a quote. An existing customer, who had a tree come down during an already difficult time for people. You would think they would want the business. I told GF Sprague that I would be paying and they did not need to deal with insurance, I just needed a written quote to be reimbursed but no, still $500. If I had never mentioned insurance there would not be fee for a quote (which is normal for businesses - free estimates). I really could not believe my ears, particularly since we had already given this company business. I do not recommend a company who operates in this manner. Very poor customer service and company directive. UPDATE 3.15.2021 - a year later I was contacted by GF Sprague about my Google review. I was told it was to obtain more information about my experience but at the same time was asked to REMOVE my review because reviews are a important way for them to generate business. If they really wanted generate business they should have followed up MUCH sooner and attempted to rectify my initial bad customer service experience. Needless to say I will not be removing this review, and hope this information is useful to anyone looking for a truthful experience with this company.

  One of the smoothest experiences I’ve had getting work done on my house. They were very communicative throughout the entire process and accommodating to our schedules. There was a mistake when installing some of the shingles for our shed (they didn’t match the color of the ones on the house) but they were quick to fix it and did it for free. Overall very pleased and would recommend them for roofing work.

  I worked with GF Sprague to update my house with new siding, front door, and new trim. Steve Herget ran point and working with Steve was an excellent experience. Never pressured to select any one product, everything was always presented as an option we could consider, and then the installation team, led by Roberto was outstanding!!!. The house has been getting compliments from all family and friends, and the final look was exactly what we were hoping for. This is a well deserved 5 start experience.

  We had a great experience with GF Sprague. They did an excellent job on both our roof and chimney, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. Ryan and Mark were fantastic to work with. They were very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable, and they made everything easy from start to finish.   Very good experience. Scheduling is easy and correspondence is prompt and friendly. It took a few weeks to order the roof tiles because of supply issues but the GF Prague team was able to get them ahead of schedule. The roofers did a very thorough job and completed the work within the time frame expected. Highly recommended!
