In May 2025, we noticed a small leak on our ceiling. (Our roof was not yet ready to be replaced.) We called D’Angelo, and they sent their salesman Thomas to inspect the roof. He recommended some roof repairs and to replace all our gutters. The work was done in July 2025. Eight months later, in April 2025, we noticed another small leak, in a different place. I thought that their crew might have missed a spot in the repair work, so I wrote to project manager Jonathan on May 30, to ask if they could send someone to look at it, and asked if there was any warranty on the repairs. Jonathan called me on June 1st, to say he had passed on our request to Geoff in the warranty department, and that someone would call us back to set up a time so they can come take a look. On June 12, Geoff left me a voice mail saying that since their company had not replaced our roof, there was no warranty on the repairs, only on the gutters. That was disappointing, but that was the end of it. I did not contact them again. On June 18, unsolicited, Jonathan called me again, saying he would check with Geoff to "see what they could do". Shortly after that, he called me back to tell me that I could get a “warranty” which normally costs $995 for just $695 because I was a loyal customer. I didn’t understand what he was offering. He said that for $695, they could send someone to “fix it”, and then if it leaks again, they could send someone back to “fix it again” but then that would be it. So it wasn't really a “warranty”, but a package price for up to two “fixes”. I told him that all I wanted was for someone to get on the roof and check the spot above the leak, to see if there was anything obvious that could be easily fixed, or not. Jonathan accused me of trying to get something for free. I told him that I was happy to pay for someone to do this, but that $695 (discounted from $995) was not a reasonable price for someone to get on the roof and quickly examine one particular spot. He said again that I

Gave 1 star because ½ a star is not an option. I needed a new flat roof on a residential garage and the estimated time for completion was 6 to 8 weeks, understanding that weather delays would happen. The contract was signed June 5th 2025, with work completed Jan 8th, 2026 (7 months). The actual amount of time taken to complete the project was: - Installation of flat roof membrane: 6 hours with 1 day on site in October for a crew of 4 - Mansard removal and replacement: 8 hours over 2 days in November for a crew of 2 - Flashing and evestrough installation: 15 hours over 6 days in Dec & Jan for a crew of 1 The project consisted of a new flat roof membrane on a 30’ x30’ roof of an attached garage, installation of new shakes (a composite material) and underlying plywood on a 2.5’ to 3’ high mansard along 3 sides of the attached garage, and replacement of the metal flashing covering the parapet around the edge of the roof, and downspouts from new evestrough and roof drains. It became obvious through the course of the project that questions were answered with what I wanted to hear, particularly around scheduling. Lesson learned!!

    Reply from the business

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration with the extended timeline and the gaps in scheduling throughout your project. While we do our best to provide accurate timelines upfront, factors such as weather, material availability, and scheduling constraints can sometimes lead to delays—however, we recognize that the overall duration of your project fell outside expectations. We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us directly, and we’re glad we had the opportunity to discuss your concerns in more detail. Your feedback is taken seriously, and we will continue working to improve our communication and scheduling processes moving forward.

We got a number of quotes to have our roof and eavestroughs, and gutters replaced. D'Angelo's was not the cheapest, but we were happy with what they planned on doing so we hired them. After missing 3 start dates (with the supplies sitting in the middle of my driveway), they finally showed up.. and no, there was no rain delays. They did the roof part first, and it looked ok. We went up and inspected it and didn't see anything too troubling. After the gutter crew missed another 4 start dates (by the way, do NOT expect them to call you to confirm which day they are coming, or if they don't show up when they said they would.. not one phone call). They finally showed up on a day with no warning and got snappy and rude at us because our gate to the backyard was locked. We explained that we needed warning and we would happily make sure it was open. After much back and forth, they gave us a new day (which they didn't show up). They showed up a day late, but they were there. When we went around and checked out the work for the eavestrough, we were absolutely stunned at the absolute lack of care when installing these. There were 4 pieces of downspout all mashed together, so basically when it rained it leaked out of the cracks. The gutter guards had major gaps in it, and there were already leaves accumulating in our gutters. There were huge gaps from the gutter to the house. It looked like they just jammed everything together. It took another 3 visits and work being done each time to get this fixed. The ONLY reason they even came back was because we withheld the balance of the payment and refused to pay until it was fixed to our satisfaction. Trust me, they tried to get us to pay them "for our year end", but we had zero faith that anything would be fixed voluntarily on their end. Just avoid this company. They do not have customer satisfaction in mind. Their sales team did an amazing job though! I ignored the other warnings about this company.. Never again. To

The worst company by far! Simply are not at all professionals! Just one update, they didn’t complete the roof work till now after almost 5 months! Despite several calls and follow up never care to respond or do the remaining work, very surprised of the positive reviews about the same people that never completed my work! I continuously contacting the project manager Josh, his boss Sandro and they never respond to my follow up after the payment was made to the account of the company!!! They charged my credit card in full without my permission and without completing the work! Six months now and they keep laying and misleading me! They ripped me off!!! Don’t ever trust them with your credit card details, especially Josh, he took the credit card details to book the job and then he charged the full amount without permission and after that they didn’t complete the work! It’s the worst management behind couple of unprofessional employees! I think they are by far the worsted company in this field. Be very careful when you deal with them! I still think they are the worst after the deterioration of the work they have done! We still suffering from the fact that they are totally not professional on the work they are doing! I don’t forgive them for their horrible work

Hi Edward D’Souza! This is D'Angelo and Sons. We just saw you filled out a request online. We'll be reaching out to chat about your project. Excited to talk to you soon! Thank you for responding, at present I am looking for a quick quote or a roughly price instead of you coming here if it's in my budget I will make an appointment Friday Good morning, yesterday you gave me rough estimate was it for a Metal Roof or shingles if you could please confirm that thank you Monday today If this is the kind of response from you I wonder what kind of work you do Hi Edward - the ballpark quote you were given was for shingles. If you're looking for a metal roof quote, we would need an estimator on-site to provide that. Let us know if you do want to be booked in. I have called other companies and they have checked my house on satellite and given me prices so your estimate is a ballpark estimate hmm doesn't give me much options but don't worry I don't think you are capable of doing this job I will be posting this conversation on your website letting customers know what to expect, I received a call from them saying we gave you a ballpark estimate which was $25000 for 1150sq foot bungalow wow in my text to them I did say I would like a rough estimate to see if it fits my budget, now what does that mean I am loaded $25000 estimate is is a pinch of salt for me? Why give your highest price when I am saying I want to see if it fits my budget? Were you trying to scare me or make a new customer? Worst company to deal with I don’t recommend a company like this I think they like to deal with rich customers. I would not have given them any star, but to leave this review I had to give them a star. If that’s your answer why didn’t you start with a 10K and 11K price we might have had a deal and avoided all this

    Reply from the business

Hi Edward. It appears you contacted us looking for ballpark pricing and did not want to discuss a concrete quote with an estimator. We could have arranged for an on-site or virtual appointment but you declined. Our ballpark pricing was $10-11K for replacing your roof with shingles but if you wanted a luxury shingle/roof, that's where you're looking closer to $25K. We'd be happy to discuss this further with you should you allow a conversation.

⚠️ Warning: Avoid This Company They promise more than they can deliver, admit mistakes but won’t fix them, and leave work incomplete (leaks, loose downspouts, unsealed skylights). Instead of accountability, they push excuses, hang up calls, and stall and delay. Hire only at your own risk — or better yet, look elsewhere.

Charged for estimate/inspection - obfuscating that the "free" doesn't always mean free. Had to follow up multiple times to get the estimate/inspection - nothing actually provided regarding condition of roof and the estimate wasn't what was even discussed. Stay away.

I had an issue with a roof leak, and D’Angelo did a great job helping me get it resolved. They were very helpful, professional, and made sure the issue was properly taken care of. I was also able to use my warranty, which covered part of the repair cost. I really appreciate their help and the excellent service. Highly recommended!

We are SO HAPPY with our new roof!!! From the very beginning this was such a positive experience for us. Danny with his solid information and help choosing the right product and colour for our roof, to Jennifer with her patience and experience schedueling our installation in the gruelling heat. Then there was Kyle and his amazing crew, who installed our roof expertly! Finally the young man who picked up the bin when the job was done. They left our property cleaner than they found it!! There was no evidence that our roof was even replaced, other than the beautiful new shingles! Thank you so much to the D'Angelo team! We are so grateful we chose you for our big project!

They never reminded me to confirm the gutter colour before or after I signed the contract. I assumed the gutters would match the existing exterior, but I only found out they didn’t after they had already been installed. I followed up a few times to discuss the issue and received some responses initially, but then communication stopped altogether.
