  I contacted Couvreur GP following a referral. Initially, the service was impeccable; they were very helpful and quick, providing me with a quote for the fall of 2025 to have the roof done this year. From the start, it was very clear that the main reason for wanting the roof done was that water was leaking through the chimney every time it rained. Eric came to give me the quote and even guaranteed to do any necessary repairs before replacing the roof to stop the water. In the end, there was snow, so that wasn't necessary. They came as agreed to do the roofing. A large, well-equipped team; everything looked very professional! They worked for about two hours and then told me I would need to replace some plywood boards. I said, "Okay, how much will that cost?" They told me Eric was on his way. (Clearly a rookie mistake, first house, first roof I've had done. I didn't realize it was such a common problem; otherwise, I would have asked for more information myself right from the quote!!) Eric arrives and tells me that, yeah, it's pretty damaged around the chimney (which shouldn't have been a surprise... it's the exact reason he was contacted). He informs me that a mason will have to be called in to do a repair before continuing the work around the chimney, and that will mean extra costs... Initially, he quotes me 300 for the wood and another 600 for the chimney. I find that outrageous because why was this never mentioned as a possibility in the quote, which clearly addressed the chimney issue? But oh well, I accept it. They've already torn off half the roof anyway; I don't really have a choice. The team continued working that day for a while longer, leaving around 12:30/1:00 PM without finishing. They left everything with just the membrane, assuring me that in case of rain, there was no risk of water getting in. At 6:00 PM, it started to rain heavily, and water began to trickle down the kitchen light fixtures, the door frame, and later, the bathroom on the other side

  Waking up an entire neighborhood at 6 a.m. to set up ladders and ramps shows a lack of consideration for others.

On roofs, we start early for two specific reasons: to avoid working in excessive heat (which is dangerous for our teams and detrimental to the quality of the shingle and membrane installation), and to complete the job in a single day to minimize disruption for the client and the neighborhood. That said, the assembly of ladders and platforms can be done calmly; this is something we will be reinforcing in our team guidelines.   The workers are shouting at the top of their lungs, which is very unpleasant, and they start doing so from 7 a.m.! They show no respect for the neighbors.

  Employees decided to bring their sound system up to the roof with the volume so loud that the distortion could be heard blocks away and even inside people's homes! I called the offices to report the situation, but there was no service available for existing clients, emergencies, or even administration, and this was on a weekday. Avoid this company at all costs because they have absolutely no sense of professionalism or judgment!

  You must be very careful and ask thorough questions about extra charges before choosing GP Roofing, as the final bill could easily increase depending on the condition of your roof. The ceiling was damaged during the work, and there's no way they'll repair it. The management's service is very poor, and ultimately, I regret choosing this company. Proud of working quickly, this company forgets to work well: the work is sloppy. Our building flooded the day after the roof was repaired due to a poorly installed drain. GP Roofing took no responsibility for this error.

  Had roof done recently(within last year). Noticed a leak, so asked they to come have a look. Was charged 150$ for the 5 minute review. Shows that Bruno is no longer there.

  I'm going to file a complaint because I called this company requesting a quote for my roof, and they never sent me a quote, only an invoice claiming they cleaned my drain. The roofer is dishonest; he's Luc Tessier. I went up on the roof with him, and he absolutely did not clean my drain. I'm going to take legal action. How can you send me an invoice when I called you for a quote that's supposed to be free? You're threatening to send me to collections, but I have all my evidence, including cameras that clearly show the man and me going up to inspect the roof. How did you clean my drain, please? Completely dishonest, and I'm certainly not going to let this go!

  The company is not honoring its commitments, even after major problems caused by their work. The roof, which had been fine before, started leaking a few months after installation, causing very costly damage to the house. Despite the signed contract, the company is still demanding thousands of dollars to repair the problem they caused. Completely unprofessional.

  We had a great experience and received excellent support from Keven throughout every stage of the construction. From the initial planning to the post-construction follow-up, he was always able to answer our questions. The builders were friendly, helpful, and left the site clean afterward.   My first meeting with Éric Villeneuve was spot-on, and he gave me a very clear picture with several relevant technical observations about the condition of my roof. I already felt confident, as I know quite a bit about roofing. He promised me a date within two and a half weeks at the latest. That same day, I received my quote with a very competitive price. To my surprise, I even got a date a week earlier than expected, at 7:00 a.m. The guys weren't just punctual, they were early. They started by protecting our flowerbeds and shrubs with tarps. Their care and cleanliness were impeccable. They were so efficient that they finished removing the old shingles an hour before the new ones were delivered. They were very professional and very friendly. Usually, on this type of small job, you get two roofers and two helpers. Today, I had four experienced roofers. I have nothing but praise for this company, and just one word for Éric Villeneuve: THANK YOU! Every aspect of their work was perfect. I highly recommend them because, while there are a lot of roofers in this field, very few are truly good, and they are VERY GOOD.
