  Would not recommend unless you want to pay another company to fix their work. 2 week job still isn't done over 2 months later. Once we requested an independent inspector they told us to get a lawyer.

  I had a very poor experience with Couto Construction. It started off fine and actually seemed like it was going to be great. They set a specific time for the appointment, showed up on time and Jason appeared to be competent. They sent follow up emails and my expectation was that I would receive an estimate fairly quickly. I waited over a month for an estimate or further contact from them. The next thing I received was a text asking me if I wanted them to come to my house to prepare an estimate. I responded to them and told them that I felt they were incompetent and callous. I had simply assumed they blew me off because the job was a small repair. They did respond to my complaint and apologized. Unfortunately, once you are treated poorly in the process, you lose confidence. I am a homeowner In my 70s, who has always maintained his own house. The house is now 30 years old and I will need someone to keep it up properly. Sorry they missed an opportunity to create a good customer..

  Wanted to have a better experience with the company based on all the positive reviews. My project had a rocky course. Half way through my project coordinator was no longer employed with the company. Felt lost in the sea so to speak as no one from the company formally reached out to identify themselves as the new point of contact. Doors finally came in after weeks of delays. Crew came and worked what seemed like bankers hours. Project was completed in two non consecutive days. I noticed a problem immediately and reached out the company. My email fell on deaf ears. I’ve waited months for a response. In the meantime I have found numerous quality concerns. I wondered why the crew screwed out of there when it was finished. I now understand why. The quality of workmanship was on par with an amateur. Good luck to those who have issues after the completion of the project…you will be left in the dark.

  Terrible company. Simple roofing, 2 front door project took several months to finish. The sales rep was not knowledgeable and make sure you read your contracts very carefully because they refused to do the siding job that was agreed upon with the sales rep. They kept saying that they will talk to the manager and this and that, but nothing ever got done. Would never recommend this company to anyone I know.

  3 strikes and you're out. This situation, sadly, has been ongoing for almost 3 years... I have been extremely patient with the lack of communication and false promises when communication is achieved. I arrived this week to help out my elderly mother only to find the work has, once again, not been completed. Aside from the inability to communicate with the workers, trash left unsecured on-site which blew around, poor oversight (callback for improperly installed siding and trim), and ignored requests for shorter hours, (12 to14 hrs a day!), while the job was originally being done, my mother has had to wait the time mentioned above to have a severe safety issue repeatedly overlooked, despite calls and an in person visit to the office. The electric meter was never refastened to the house after the siding was complete and moves around and bangs in high winds. If the wire now holding the meter up was to become loose or disconnected I hate to think of the potential outcome to the house, my mother, or the resulting lawsuit afterwards. Liability concerns alone should have made any contractor move very quickly on this; but not Couto. The last phone communication, in January, said it would be corrected "next week". Far too obviously it's now over 3 months later... If something of this nature is left unattended for so long what lesser things are being just as casually bipassed on your home? Snowstorms are no excuse. They have known for a very long time who the customer is, the problem, and the location. FIX IT!

  Take the negative reviews seriously. I bought a $7k Provia front door from them a year and a half ago. It's been a disaster ever since. The door wasn't correctly installed. It wasn't square or plumb, it doesn't close fully in the door jam, the door knob comes off when pulled, air comes in so bad at the bottom I had to put blankets in front of it keep the snow out this winter. They came out once to 'fix' it but it was the same crew and they made it worse than before. I called again and got jerked around. The project manager yelled at me and got in my face, the office was defensive and dismissive. The salesman thought it was ok to corner me in my kitchen and hug me. I never wanted them back again. I had the regional Provia rep come by to get his assessment. He agreed it was a poor job and needed to be hung properly. They were helpful at first but, now aren't following through either. Unfortunately I can't find anyone willing to reinstall it. So what to do? Buy a new door from a different company and be out the $7k or live with it? Terrible judgment on my part. Be forewarned.

  You guys did a great job on our roof and gutters and these two fellas made my chimney look great! You guys have some hard workers and you all should be proud of your work!   We are very happy with the work performed on the roof including the sky light. Starting with the sales person Alex he is very professional and well mannered person (he provided us with roof photos and even a video).He did the job from start to finish. The project manager Paulo was always available to talk to us when we needed, also a pleasure to work with. At the office, we also had a very good experience every time we contact them. Bottom line - Couto construction started the job when promised, and even with the weather setback they did everything to complete as soon as they could. I'll use their services in the future if I need.

  We could not be happier with the experience that we had with Couto Construction! We received multiple quotes for a full roof replacement, and selected Couto because we found them to be the most comprehensive in their quote, and the pricing was considerably more cost effective for the same materials that we received from at least 7 other companies. We were guided throughout the process by Evan, our Sales Representative, who explained everything to us thoroughly and made certain that we were aware of the next steps. He answered all of our (multiple!) questions quickly, and always returned our calls / emails within an hour or so (even on the weekend.) He even made several trips to our house to show us what was recommended to fit our needs, and still stay within our budget. The Project Manager, Mark, and his crew, were also great - 1000% recommend!

  We are truly pleased with all the work done and workers that came. Even when we thought we had al leak, a crew came out and assured us that the attic was dry no mold and what we experienced was due to the power washing from the painting company. Everything was addressed in a timely manner. My only wish was that I could speak Spanish to communicate my gratitude to the workers myself! Just as a side note My mother spoke Portuguese but wouldn’t teach me so she could talk to her sisters and my Vovo without me knowing what was being said!!! I thought the Coutos might get a kick out of that tidbit.!😊
