Unprofessional and Misleading - I do not recommend this contractor for any type of service. A representative of the company came to my residence to provide a quote for repairs. He explained that the actual cost of the repairs I needed was …

We take this feedback seriously and are very sorry for the events that occured. Cornerstone Construction does have a minimum project requirement due to labor, insurance, and warranty costs, but we never intend for that to be misleading. The way the situation occurred is not in line with our core values. We’ll be reviewing this situation internally to make sure our representatives communicate details clearly moving forward and there will be accountability for those involved. Please reach out to us directly at (864) 707-0000 or kyle@ccteam.org so we can discuss this further and make things right.

Mr.Gerretsen, thank you for the honest feedback. We dropped the ball—arriving late and without a ladder is unacceptable. The team member you met was still in his onboarding period; that’s on us to manage better. We offered to have a manager to return and redo the inspection, which you chose not to pursue, and we respect that. We have meet with this employee and will do better as a company at making sure our specialists are prepared to be in the field. We have a long standing good reputation in the community and this is not how we normally operate so for that I am sorry!

This is the second time their crews have left nails, screws and debris on our property from neighboring work. This is not safe for our kids and dogs to walk in. We have spent lots of time cleaning up after they leave. Do not recommend.

Terrible communication with this company. I’m not even going to get into our situation. But it’s been terrible. The job is finally done. But the crew left crews and metal pieces all over our driveway. Plus we’ve picked up about a dozen nails in our yard. I also really don’t appreciate cigarettes buds being thrown out all over my yard. We don’t smoke. And our 1 and 2 year olds play in the yard. Honestly, just glad to be done with this company

My co-worker, at the recommendation of State Farm had them come out and do an estimate for roof damage in October 2024. They gave her a quote, she paid them a 50% deposit, and here it is December 10, 2024, her roof and the ceiling in her house in Piedmont is getting worse, and they cannot even come out and put a tarp or cover over it. Guys whomever is giving these 5 star reviews must be "family and friends" for this Co-Worker is a person of upmost character and integrity. This treatment of an individual should be unlawful and criminal.--***Update: Came out put small tarp on to try and help with one large leak, created 5 small ones......said they were coming back, but winds were too high, all about safety, but after taking a single, cancer survivor, woman's money (a very nice lady who does not need to be taking advantage of in this way by predators as such) in October 24, and putting her off and here it is December 12, 2024 (Hope you are enjoying your Christmas with her money!)- Will be calling State Farm on her behalf and the State Insurance Commissioner, or whomever I can---this is NOT over, until this is satisfactorily completed. I am on vacation all week and intend to wreak havoc here.

They apparently don't have a clue about doing siding. They started March 20th and here it is June 10th and still waiting for them to finish. And they have asked for the last half of payment for the third time a few days ago. Once they were "finished" with the job and had packed up and left, there were nails all around the house, some places 30 feet from the house. Nails left on the roof (oh yeah, they had forgotten to include the chimney so the material had to be brought the next morning). Not cool with having pets and kids and anyone in the yard that could get poked or something. Til this day I'm still getting nails out of the yard. Old boxes/mounts reused or didn't get replaced. New faucet mounts were a different color and didn't fit properly. Left several places where wood was still exposed and not covered or sealed. Shoved siding on top of concrete causing it to bulge. Was putting wrap over damaged wood that was supposed to have been replaced. (was caught by me before they completely covered it up) Covered up wires that weren't meant to be covered up, one I caught before they installed the siding over it so I pulled it out from behind the wrap, and they were 5 - 10 feet from me and saw me. The other I didn't catch until they were done and gone. Left unused material in my driveway for over a week. Mounted exterior light upside down. Crew leader kept asking me questions about certain things as if they didn't know what the plan was for the job. I was there for the first day of the job but was gone for the second day. I could only imagine what kind of things would have been left wrong if I hadn't been around at all. Going to file a report with the BBB. Oh, in one of the emails they sent me after completion, Curt says he is the General sales manager. So when I first contacted Cornerstone about the issues after completion, I emailed him, Albert and Pilar at the email addresses he provided with a description and pictures, absolutely no response. After a couple of days,

We were able to get in touch with this homeowner and work through the concerns and issues that he had. This is not the kind of experience we want anyone to have at Cornerstone Construction and we appreciate that we had the chance to make it right.

Cornerstone roofing came and gave us a quote for $15887. that we signed to roof our house due to some hail damage. When we were done the bill they sent us was $19418. This is called Price Gouging!!!! We figured all the materials they used by calling and getting prices on the same exact materials they used. The price came out to be almost $6000.ok. So you do the math! We asked them for an itemized statement and they could not provide it for us. They had us get the cost sheet from our insurance company and they sent us something showing the $19418. They just kept blaming the insurance company saying that is what they approved to pay. So even though we just had to pay our deductible something is all wrong! Our house had came out needing 34 Sq of roofing material. They did not have to replace any plywood! We would not ever recommend using Cornerstone construction to anyone. No complaints on the job the workers did. It’s the company who did us wrong! Rodney and Darlene Clausen 10/17/2023
