  If I could give them a 0 I would. They don’t show up for appointments, no call, no show. Roof they installed has leaked for years. Terrible company. My understanding is this is new ownership and no call, no show. Won’t keep customers with this service.

  The original work done was top notch and they stood behind their work and came out once to replace some missing shingles from the detached garage. Some more shingles came off the garage 10’years later. I called the number. Turns out that Dave Wandel passed away. Whomever is running the company now is not honoring previous work warrantys.

  I’ve used Dave for roofing before and had no issues. But he did moms house in 2021 and it keeps having leaks in the same area in the living room. Last two time he didn’t have the courage to come himself so he sent a woman from his team who seems very irritated by needing to review their work. They have now told us twice it’s not their issue. Yet- we clearly have a leak. Oh- and the ey replaced the sky lights too.

  Purchased a home that came with a roofing certificate from this company. After the first heavy rain we discovered a leak in the mud room bathroom. This was caused by a baseball sized hole in our roof towards the back of the house. Long story short, this company doesn’t like to call individuals back. I called three times over the course of a month, spoke with a receptionist that informed me someone would follow up, and nothing. Not a single follow up phone call. Our roof is still leaking. If you need roof repair, best choose someone who knows how to operate a phone… Look at how they response to reviews. They that lack professionalism, accountability, tact, and empathy. What a joke of a company. Stay far far away.

  I am not one to write reviews but wanted to save other homeowners the potential hassle in working with Dave Wandel and Charis Contractors. We had our roof replaced by Charis in April of 2016, and the roof is/has already leaked in two locations. One of the issues was apparent immediately after they completed the installation, causing buckets of water to come into the house. Dave came to assess the roof and issue, and mentioned that he would be back to fix it what he thought the issue was but he or any of his crew never came back. I had to remove 5 sheets of water damaged drywall and install a temporary funnel system to capture the the leaking water into two 5 gallon buckets. The ultimate issue was repaired by another company after they determined the shingles were improperly installed in at least this particular section of roof. To be clear, I emailed and called Charis at least two more times after Dave's "assessment", as I wanted to give them a chance to repair the issue given I was and still am under warranty. Since then the roof has developed leaks across a different 4ft x 8ft piece of sheathing that Charis had replaced during the original install. I have called and emailed the company 2 more times this year and have yet to receive a call back or response via email to at least acknowledge the situation or offer a solution. Given my 4 year ordeal in dealing with Charis, I have no choice but to rate the workmanship as very poor and the responsiveness as non-existent. Please call a different company to do your roof!!

  I cannot find any indication in our records of having done any work for anyone named "Jon" that had any warranty issues with their roof 4 years ago. Of course, you have not included your name or address. Here at Charis Contractors we provide warranties from 5 years and beyond depending on material selection and we always honor our warranties. I question the validity of your review and whether you were even a customer of ours. Why did you wait 4 years to post a review? You make no mention of any damage to your drywall or floors. If you indeed had "buckets" of water come into your house there would have been extensive damage to the ceilings and floors. A homeowner has many avenues of recourse against a contractor who doesn't honor their contract yet you have not taken any action other than this review. I believe you to be either a competitor or a disgruntled former employee. If you are indeed for real please feel free to reach out to me so we can resolve your problems.

  Ms. Bryan, After reviewing all our emails and notes of all of our conversations there is no mention anywhere that you wanted 24 hour notice. We sent you an email the morning your job was scheduled.. It was almost lunch time before you responded asking us not to proceed. By that time the job was almost complete. I am sorry that you do not believe that I was in a class. All our top personnel and myself go to many seminars and training class to make sure that we are familiar with new products and techniques. Continuing education is important to us. I assure you roof is installed correctly and to manufacture's specifications. It has been a few weeks since the roof has been completed and it has rained a few times and I have not heard from you. That tells me that there have been no problems.

  Today I had a TPO roof installed on my rental property. As always i am very pleased with charis contractors I use them on any roof I need repaired or replaced for all of my properties.

  Highly recommend! My parents got their roof done and after seeing what a great job they did, I had my roof done too. David is very nice and very professional. He knows his stuff! Other roofing companies I had come out for an estimate... They took days to get me a quote. David came to my house the same day that I called and he gave me the quote on site and then emailed me the quote. Great job.
