Update: Much easier to email a quote than to write that nonsense response. Refused to send me their quote because I said no to scheduling an hour long “follow up”. High pressure sales in my own home will always be a No.

Thanks for your review Brandon. Ben was out to inspect your home and design a repair solution to your roofing problem on April 30th. He noted extensive manufacturer defects on the shingles of your home, as well as other flashing issues related to the previous installation. He took both photographic and video documentation of the issues. We attempted to set up a follow up time for him to review this documentation with you, which you adamantly refused to do. Since your roof issue involves both a manufacturer's issue as well as an installation issue, we needed additional information from you to see if your roof is still covered under warranty and how that could be pursued-- which is the purpose of a second meeting with Ben. However, you have been unwilling to meet to review our documentation. As a result, we are unable to help you any further. We wish you the best in resolving the roofing issues at your home. They are complicated, and we strongly encourage you to engage a qualified professional or you risk spending quite a bit more time and money than necessary. We do appreciate your feedback.

We had Cenco come out and give us an estimate for a new roof. Their initial estimate was for $50,000, that was astronomical. After removing the shingles from the estimate, that are only needed in Alaska, and all the extras he had added we …

Thanks for your review Leo. We appreciate the feedback. When you met with Ben, you asked him to price not only the roof replacement with upgraded shingles at your home, detach and reset your solar panels and also gutters as well as insulation. We have reviewed the estimated information he presented and, based on the dimension of your home and the various projects you discussed, the combined price of those items is, indeed, $50,000. By removing the insulation project, removing the gutter project and changing the selection of roofing materials, the cost to replace your roof is $32,000 based on the dimensions of your home. We understand your sticker shock! Pricing for roofing alone has risen, on average, more than 41% over the last five years--not only in the Denver market, but across the country. You can double check those statistics through either the Colorado Roofing Association (CRA) or National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), of which we are both proud members. They make resources available to consumers who are doing research on roof replacements. As a proud small business owner, I empathize with the price increases facing roofing consumers. I would love to tell you pricing has risen only marginally over the last 20 years since you last replaced your roof. However, that is just not the case. As for our customer presentation, we appreciate your feedback on its length and will work to improve our in-home experience for future customers. We will share your feedback with Ben and our entire team.

We contacted Cenco Roofing after they had posted an advertisement at our child's school. We needed a roof replacement and were initially drawn to the fact that they were a local neighborhood business. After signing the contract, the sales manager became extremely difficult to reach, was rude, and did not follow through on promises. The production manager over-ordered materials that sat on our property for months after the completion of the roof - the insurance was also charged for the excess materials. Cenco sub-contracts out their crew who damaged two windows and a patio table. Several of our neighbors used Cenco and also had a poor experience. Cenco is not transparent with their invoicing to insurance providers and submits different material/labor costs to maximize their profit. A neighbor with the exact same roof (same home/floorplan) was charged thousands more. Lastly, Cenco did not provide a final invoice until 6 months after the completion of the project and included late fees on the invoice. The senior administrator did wave the late fees and also provided a credit for the damaged windows and patio table. I would 1000% not recommend Cenco Roofing. Cenco does incentivize positive reviews on this site by providing a gift card.

Thanks for your review, Katy. We love to get feedback from our customers. We appreciate all reviews, positive and negative; any gift cards provided to customers who spend the time and effort to leave us a review can be redeemed. Alternately, any customer who receives a gift card and chooses not to redeem it will be gifting that card to charity. All gift cards unredeemed after 90 days are donated to Hope for Kids, one of our charity partners focused on helping pediatric cancer patients and their families through organized events during their treatment. So the choice will be yours whether to exercise your gift card or donate it to charity. Alas...when we get to the stage of a one star review at the end of the project, Cenco does own any lack of communication during the project as well as any misunderstandings our customers have regarding their roof replacement process. But we also have to correct the record if there is a misunderstanding. You have hinted that Cenco somehow overcharged you, or did something unethical in our pricing of your project. Specifically regarding materials, insurance claim work is paid by square footage at a rate set by individual insurance carriers. As a matter of course, we always order a bit extra so that, should a problem arise, the materials will match from the same dye lot of shingles to complete your roof. At no point was the insurance carrier overcharged nor would they ever overpay for materials, since the scope of work is done by GPS measurements and not from Cenco-generated estimates and the unit costs are provided to us by the carriers themselves. With reference to any neighboring projects, each carrier sets their own unit cost pricing so that even homes with similar floor plans can have different project values, based on a variety of circumstances. At your home, for example, the value of your solar array could easily differ from that of your neighbor's home and would generate a different projec value overall. To the degre

Chris from Cenco was trustworthy, professional, friendly, and courteous. He did an excellent job managing our roof replacement—we’d gladly give him 5 out of 5 stars. While the roofing work itself was well done, our experience with Cenco’s billing and follow-up services was disappointing. The billing office failed to provide clear documentation for both us and our insurance company, and the final bill was initially $6,000 too high. Additionally, the company took months to address the replacement of our gutter guards, which ultimately had to be completed by another company at our own expense of $1,800. We would absolutely work with Chris (with another company) and the on-site crew again, but based on the administrative and customer service issues, we would not choose to work with Cenco as a company in the future.

I called told them I needed a roof replace estimate, as well as told them, i will be self paying. The guy came out, looked at the roof. When done he brings in his computer along with a sales sample of a gutter with leaf filter on it, as well as a contract for me to sign and then proceeds to show me this long drawn out video of him looking at my broken roof. This is six oclock on a friday, i just want a competable bid to replace my roof, not a long drawn out hard sales job. I already knew it's broken since i am the one who called. Instead my girlfriend and I felt like we were at a time share pressure sales room in my own house. I asked him to please just get to the numbers. I really don't care about the background of his company, as i have already looked it up, along with thereviews. He refused to give me any numbers at all, and got visually upset that I wanted to hurry this along. That is unacceptable, as earlier I had another very highly rated company come out and ask me how i wanted the estimate figured, ie; with upgraded shingles or without, with drain gutter and without, with painting and without. He never asked me to come in my home, like your salesman guy. He sent me several breakdowns within 2 hours of being here. Like your salesman said, that I should just call him then. As i told your guy, I'll call who I want, but it won't be you guy's that's for sure!

I was so excited to use this company because of reviews and their video overview. Had someone come out for a roof estimate (he was very respectful and kind) but then never show back up for final measurements and payment. Couldn’t get in contact with anyone via phone besides customer service reps who take your info and then have someone else call and run over the same info and schedule for appointments nobody showed up to. 2 weeks and two missed appointments later someone else came out and told us the price was not what the first person had said that we signed a contract for but about 10k more. Very frustrating and unprofessional experience.

Get a second opinion before signing a contract with Cenco. I'm new to my condo and the big rainstorm back in May revealed a leak in my unit. I called Cenco because of their 5 star reviews and Taylor came out to investigate my roof. He came back down and showed me a picture on his phone of a massive spiderweb crack that he said was over my unit, saying the leak was an easy diagnosis and as a personal favor to me he could come back and repair it with caulk, but that my building would need a new roof and it would be a large expensive project. I talk to my HOA and find out our roof was replaced 4 years ago. I get the other roofing company over, and long story short, there's no crack over my unit at all. The roof is perfectly sealed. The leak was actually coming from a vent over my window. I got up on the roof myself to see the truth, and sure enough, no crack. Maybe this company does good work, maybe not, but make sure you get a second opinion on what is going on with your roof, or if you can, go up to investigate what they claim yourself.

Scheduled an appointment, and tech arrived without a ladder large enough to get on the roof for a roofing estimate appointment. Instead of going to get one simply said they’d come back sometime later in the week. Very poor service, and unprofessional. Would not recommend. EDIT - to their reply - when I called on a Saturday to schedule an appointment, a day your business advertises as open, you gladly took my appointment, and offered Monday, a holiday. I did not request Monday - you assigned me that appointment, and didn't mention being short staffed or it being any trouble. If you couldn't accommodate an appointment - you shouldn't have taken it, so I don't know why your reply goes on about it being a holiday! Again, very unprofessional. Additionally, we told Michael he could get up on the garage to assess the damage, as another company, who came the day before did. Michael said no, and that he was going to get another ladder in the van. He then came back and simply stated he did not have a ladder high enough. It is interesting since he was coming to do a roof inspection - I'd think a ladder of many sizes would be an absolute necessity. He did not mention he had limited access to ladders due to the holiday. Nor did he bother to professionally set up another time he could come back - he vaguely stated he'd come back 'later in the week.' Then no one followed up to reschedule, so it's actually not that it did not work for our schedule. A waste of our time, and very unprofessional service. Also, your reply was a weak apology with lame excuses that do not address our actual concerns or experience.

Thanks for your feedback, Kate. As you know, you set up the appointment on Saturday for Memorial Day. We really try to be available to meet our customers as their schedules allow. However, we also try to respect our employees personal choices and most of our field inspectors and installers chose to observe the holiday with remembrance. So we operated on a limited capacity that day. Michael was unable to access your roof safely due to its height, and did not have access to additional ladders on Memorial Day. He did offer to come back at a later time. We are sorry to hear that did not work for your schedule. We wish you the best in finding the right roofer for you and appreciate your comments. We will share them with Michael and our entire team.

We had Cenco in to deal with a repair on our newly purchased home. They identified the most urgent issues and offered options on how to move forward. Ben & their crew knocked out the repair quickly. Their follow up afterward was thorough. Its a good sign when a contractor is just as attentive after the works done as they were before. If they treat you right on a small job, then you know you can trust them with a big job.

Update (4/28/2026) We opted for Cenco’s annual roof maintenance program that includes resealing of the gutters. This is preventative maintenance that will prevent future costly repairs. The technician, Lorenzo, took great care in performing the maintenance tasks that involve cleaning and reselling numerous sections of the gutters. Lorenzo was was an excellent communicator with respect to scheduling and had an incredibly professional demeanor. We are yet again impressed by Cenco’s outstanding service! Update (3/19/2024) We are a little over four years into our Cenco roof. We noticed some water spilling from the corner of our roof that looked to be a leak or some type of damage. We called Cenco late on a Friday afternoon, and with no hassle were given an appointment the following Tuesday afternoon. We had a friendly reminder call on Monday, and at the designated time on Tuesday a friendly technician arrived to inspect our concern. She climbed up on her ladder and within a short time rang our doorbell to report the results of her inspection. She found a rubber ball wedges in the downspout which caused an obstruction resulting in the water flowing from the corner. She assured us the roof and gutters were fine after carefully inspecting the area. There was no charge for this visit, and we were treated with the utmost courtesy. The quality and friendliness of this service call assured us again that we made an excellent choice by selecting Cenco. Keep up the outstanding work! Original Review (December, 2020) We were immensely pleased with the exceptional quality Cenco demonstrated in all aspects of our poject; from the initial scheduling through final inspection. The back-office staff communicated throughout the project and was always available to address our questions. The production team arrived on-time, was extremely professional and respectful of our property, and went above and beyond in terms of cleaning up after each workday. Thanks for your review, Craig. We will use your feedback to review our production process with both of the teams involved in your scope of work. From our documentation, the roofing repair of your shingles and HVAC unit went off without issue and was completed in a single day. Our gutter installer dropped the ball during gutter protection and additional downspout installation. We accept responsibility for that confusion and have reviewed your project with the installers and our entire team. Thanks,

Cenco did my roof after a hailstorm in 2023. I recently signed up for the new roof maintenance program and Lorenzo came out and did a great job. He cleaned out my gutters, resealed everything on the roof and sent me a full report with photos. Great value and great company.
