Thank you for sharing this feedback. We take reports like this seriously, and we want to clarify the facts for anyone reading this review. Our inspection was performed in July 2022 — nearly four years before this review — as a point-in-time visual roof assessment for a real estate transaction. The findings accurately reflected the roof's condition on that date: watertight, no active water intrusion, and a chimney tie-in needing a resealing. Since then, this property has weathered multiple hurricanes and named storms, any of which can change a roof's condition significantly. Regarding the addition and truss framing: our report disclosed the uneven appearance where the addition met the original roofline, exactly as observed. As a licensed roofing contractor, our scope is limited to roof-level components. We are not licensed structural engineers or general contractors, and we were not retained to evaluate structural connections, hurricane strapping, or interior conditions. We also want to be clear that we were not hired as, or acting as, a general contractor for this project, and no work beyond the roof-level repairs noted in our report was performed by our team. We understand discovering these issues after purchase was stressful and costly, and we're sorry for the frustration it's caused. However, a roof inspection reflects conditions at a single point in time, within the scope of the license performing it. It isn't a warranty against future storm damage or a substitute for a full home inspection, structural or general contractor evaluation. We'd encourage anyone with concerns about issues outside a roofer's scope to consult a licensed structural engineer or general contractor. We're happy to discuss this further directly — please feel free to call our office.

Paid 50k for a roof on my home. Roof leaked after they installed it, but they came back to fix it. Roof failed inspection by the county due to nail pops and owner ignored it, said they will go away. Granules from the roof shingles cover the ground every time it rains. They tore through my yard in multiple places to deliver the shingles because I didnt sign the waiver that says if they crack my driveway they are not responsible, beware of that. Tired to cleaning up these granules years later...

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take all reviews seriously, even those from projects completed several years ago. We care deeply about the quality of our work, which is why we remember your 2021 project well. Because of the complex architectural features and turrets, it required a high level of specialized skill. As you mentioned, when you brought two initial issues to our attention, including some shingles that were not laying flat, we immediately came back out to rework them. Following those corrections, the roof successfully passed the county inspection. Regarding the yard, our man lift was necessary to work on the turrets that are too steep to stand on. Vehicles like this carry a risk of cracking concrete, which is why we use a standard waiver. Because you preferred we avoid the driveway, our team used the lawn instead. We later returned to fill the dirt and replace the sod to restore the area. Lastly, asphalt shingles naturally shed granules over their lifespan as part of the normal weathering process. We always want our homeowners to have peace of mind. Please feel free to reach out to our office at 813-689-7663. Best regards,

Ms Cameron, The ceiling of your closet caved in because the roof deck was rotten under the shingles and one of our roofers narrowly escaped injury when the roof gave way underneath him. We had a crew at your apartment the very next day to repair the ceiling and the following day a crew there to professionally clean the closet and adjacent bedroom. No appointments were cancelled. The owner of the building then had the apartment professionally cleaned a second time by a different remediation company. You were told several times that you could take your clothing to Tide cleaners and we would pay the bill. You were even provided a generous per down during the time in between to pay for alternate accommodations. Please do not disclose private information as Rogers location, this is dangerous and puts his home in jeopardy of being targeted Please remove this erroneous, libelous review this site

Do NOT use Cardinal Roofing. Just two years after their "repair" I have a leak in the same spot they "fixed" and it's much worse.

    Reply from the business

Dear Mr. Gray, We have not received a call, text or email, from you regarding this issue and would be happy to come and take a look at what is happening with your roof. We can document what is happening with pictures and go over the issue in detail with you. We have been hit by major storms, including 2 named storms within the last two years so there could be many reasons as to why your roof is leaking. We answer the phones 24/7 and look forward to hearing from you.

Mr Amnay, we have searched our records and found emails from you from 2020 in regards to a roof we replaced for the previous owner of your home in 2016. You had stucco issues, not roofing issues. Your stucco was allowing water intrusion, not the roof or the flashing. We replaced the roof on the home. We are not stucco contractors and did no work on the stucco of the home. You told us you were getting your lawyer involved. At that time, we told you we would no longer communicate with you directly and would communicate with your lawyer. That was the last communication we had, we never received any contact from said attorney. As we did not do any work for you, did not do subpar work and are not stucco contractors that worked on stucco problems on the home, we would appreciate you taking down the review related to a 2016 roof replacement that passed all inspections and was done in a professional workmanlike manner

Cardinal came for an estimate but never bothered to write one. Gave me an estimate for tarping a 400 sq ft area $3200. I have never received an estimate either verbal or in print.

    Reply from the business

I’m a bit perplexed by this review as our estimator Dan sent you an email detailing the issues with your roof and the costs associated with replacing the roof. He also provided a price to tarp the entire living area of your home, not a 400 square foot area. On top of that, Dan referred you to two companies that specialize in metal roofs like yours in hopes of finding you a more affordable solution. Cardinal roofing would appreciate you removing this review as it is factually inaccurate.

BUYER BEWARE – please read until the end. When I first contacted Cardinal Roofing (Roger), I specifically mentioned a problem I was having with fascia. When the crew arrived, I mentioned it again and pointed out 2 specific problem areas. The first were corners (soffit) that were patched to keep rats out of the attic, and the second, where wood was known to be rotten because of the improper roof installation (including drip cap) 15+ years ago. I suppose I was too trusting and believed their website about being experts in roofing repair. When they finished, I still had the same problems. Yes, they replaced rotten wood, but that was only the symptom. The drip cap is a huge problem and water washes directly onto the cedar fascia when it is supposed to drip away from the wood. I observed this the day after they were done because it rained. The patchwork rat mitigation is back but they failed to address 2 of the corners at all. What they did do for the other corners, looks terrible. Funny thing is they never asked me about solving the problems during the re-roof. In the beginning they were pleasant to work with, but after I paid my bill, and mentioned I had some concerns, the attitude changed. When the 2 people came out, they said basically, this is the design of your house and too bad. They even admitted the soffit looked bad and the drip cap being flush against the fascia was not good. This is a poor response, as they took enough of the fascia off that the actual problem could have been solved had they thought about it and presented me with solutions. Again, they claim to be roofing experts and they should have solutions to problems. I paid a premium for a new roof free of problems, and yet, I still have the same problems. The manager did not even attempt to call me although I left voice mail on his phone. Words cannot convey how profoundly disappointed I am in their service as well as their customer service. DO NOT use this company. And, oh by the way, if you want Wi

Outstanding experience from start to finish! After the 2024 hurricanes, they came out quickly to patch our roof and did an excellent job. They arrived right on time, were upfront and honest about everything, and explained the work clearly before getting started. The quality of the repair was fantastic, and they made sure everything was done right. Recently I also had them install solar attic fans, and they did an amazing job with that as well. The installation was clean, professional, and has already made a noticeable difference. If you're looking for a reliable roofing company that's honest, punctual, and does top-quality work, I highly recommend them!

Chad and his team replaced the roofs on both our home and our office, and we had a great experience. The crew worked so well together that it was obvious they do this every day and have their process down. They worked hard, paid attention to the details, and got the job done right. The pricing was fair, scheduling was easy, and the whole project was much less stressful than we expected. It’s hard to find contractors who are this organized and easy to work with these days. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
