Cardinal did the work on our roof after we were hit by a tornado. Their team removed our “please don’t park in the grass” signs and pulled their trailer in the front yard and ran over our landscaping which broke the stone and destroyed the yard. We were told that a supervisor would be on site which did not happen while the work was being done. It was only after we called and furiously complained that they came out to repair the damages. They sent us the final invoice that was $800+ more than the contract which we anticipated due to potential damage to our decking. However the very next day they sent us another invoice for $1500+ more. We tried for months to contact them for an explanation of charges with no response. There was absolutely no communication with their team and when I finally got in touch with someone they were short and curt and told me to reach out to my insurance company for an explanation. It was only after I strongly requested a phone call did someone call me back and no real answers were given. In the end I paid the extra to prevent being “sent to collections” without any clear reason of the charge. I STRONGLY do not recommend.

    Reply from the business

Thank you for sharing your feedback, we take it seriously and have reviewed it as a team. I apologize for the supervisor's absence and the landscaping damage. Roofing is a massive construction project and we fell short on setting proper expectations before the first nail, that responsibility falls on us, and we fell short of it here. When damage does occur, our team's job is to make it right quickly, not after a complaint. When insurance supplements are involved, final invoices can differ from the original contract. In this case, the additional amount reflected decking replacement approved by your insurance carrier after tear-off, and it was billed below our standard rate. But it's on us to explain those changes simply and promptly for homeowners who don't work with insurance companies every day like we do, and to respond when you call. We fell short there too, and we've changed how we communicate supplement charges as a result. I'd like to personally review your file and go over the charges with you line by line. Please contact me directly: Ryan McGalliard, rmcgalliard@cardinal-roof.com. Thank you for making us better.

Horrible communication. Hired to give an estimate and the level of professionalism is trash. Can’t begin to even imagine what the quality of work is like

We’re very sorry to hear about the poor communication and unprofessional impression you experienced. That is not the standard we aim for, and we will review what happened with our team. Please contact our office at your earliest convenience so we can address the estimate and make this right. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I never write negative reviews, but have felt inclined to share my experience for others to consider. I was in the process of selling my house and the inspector found some areas on my roof that needed repair. I contacted Cardinal and let …

It took Cardinal Roofing 5 months to fix the large whole in our roof from a tree. I probably contacted our 2 agents and the office 100 times and could not get any attention month after month. Our bedroom leaked with water for 5 months and we could not sleep in there (cardinal roofing tarp cost $700 and did not work). Our attic is likely damaged with mold long term. Looks like others had a better experience than us, but I would advise going with a smaller company that will give you attention when it comes to matters this serious.

Purchased our home with a nearly new roof. The roof was put on by Cardinal and warrantied. We noticed a small stain on the upstairs ceiling and hoped it was from the A/C. After these storms the past month the stain has gotten bigger. Contacted Cardinal about the warranty. Long story short after a month no one has been out to look at it. They may be great at selling roofs and keeping you in the loop but their warranty or word sucks.

I would warn others away from this roofing company. Our out of pocket cost on our final invoice was 60% higher that what we were originally told. In the month following the installation, I've found 30+ screws and nails around my house including one in my pool. I also had to ask multiple times to get the certificate of completion and the final invoice (which I didn't receive until over a month after the roof was installed). Their employees are friendly and they complete the work quickly... but beware of the bait and switch.

Brandenn Pickett and his team at Cardinal were awesome. They recently replaced my roof and gutters in late July. Prior to starting the project, they did a very thorough inspection of my roof that included going in the attic for a full scope of the project. In terms of scheduling, they were very flexible and accommodating, and they were able to start the project in a few weeks. They completed the roof install in 1 day (1700 square foot house), and they came back the next day to install the new gutters. Both the roof and the gutters turned out great, and I honestly could not be happier with the results. They have options for multiple price points, and they are a GAF Master Elite and President’s Club Contractor so they offer great warranties as well. If you are in the market for a new roof, I would highly recommend reaching out to Cardinal Roofing for a free inspection.

I've nevervused Cardinal, but they have replaced several roofs in my neighborhood. Two of these roofs were replaced during strong summer downpours. Not only is it concerning for the integrity of the roof, but it also concerns me for the safety of their employees who were on top of roofs during severe lightning.

In May 2026, our neighborhood experienced a summer storm which included a short period of damaging hail. Shortly after the storm, Brandon Gracey of Cardinal Roofing made a roof inspection of our neighbor's home to determine if the hail damage warranted a roofing replacement by his insurance provider. Brandon met my neighbor's insurance adjuster on the day of inspection, and it was agreed a new roof replacement was warranted and approved by my neighbor‘s insurance provider. During his visit with my neighbor, Brandon introduced himself and asked if he could perform a free, no obligation, inspection of our roof to determine if damage existed. We agreed to Brandon's offer, and our insurance provider was contacted with the results, and we requested a roof adjustment be performed. On the day of the adjustment Brandon met with the insurance adjuster. Upon completion of the inspection, the adjustor agreed with Cardinal's assessment that our roof had sustained adequate damage to warrant a new roof replacement. We are convinced Brandon's hands-on attention and personally meeting with the adjuster were major factors to receiving a positive response from our insurance provider. The new roof materials arrived at our home the day prior to the agreed upon installation date. Early the next morning Cardinal's installation crew arrived at approximately 6:15 AM, performed a materials count to confirm qty and type of materials, and began the removal of the old roof materials. The removal process is very noisy and messy; however, Cardinal's crew immediately cleaned up and placed all of the discarded waste materials into a jobsite trash trailer; keeping the job-site free of debris and safe for walking around the entire perimeter of our home during the installation process. The installation crew did an amazing job and completed our entire new roof installation in a single day - all the while working in 90+ degree temperatures!! Kudos to Cardinal's well organized and disciplined install
