Cairn Contracting

The only one or two-star review we hold for Cairn Contracting.

I feel satisfied with the work ultimately but will not use Cairn again given the sloppy initial work that required the roofers to essentially repeat their work and then another subsequent visit by the supervisor to do a final repair of more substandard work; additionally I had gutter guards placed and rather than throw away the stuff gathered in my gutters, they used a leaf blower to blow it under my deck, which I later cleaned up myself - I still can't believe that the workmen thought that would be an ok solution for the trash.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and I am genuinely sorry to read about the disappointing experience you had with us. We strive for excellence on every project, and it is clear we fell short of that standard in several areas here. I sincerely apologize for the initial sloppy work that required a substantial repeat effort and for the subsequent need for our supervisor to perform a final remedial repair. I understand this caused significant frustration and delays, and I regret that we did not get the job done right the first time. I also want to specifically apologize for the unacceptable handling of the debris when installing your gutter guards. There is no excuse for the crew using a leaf blower to move the collected debris under your deck. That practice is not in line with our standards, and we have addressed this specific lapse directly with our team members to ensure this never happens again. While we are satisfied that all necessary repairs were ultimately completed to a high standard, I understand why the process has led you to conclude that you will not use us again. We take your detailed feedback seriously and will use it to reinforce our quality control processes and team training to prevent these specific issues moving forward. I wish you all the best and appreciate the chance we were given to complete the work and the feedback that will make us a better company.

If you’re looking for a company that truly operates with honesty and integrity, I can’t recommend Cairn Contractors enough! I originally found them a few years ago after reading their excellent reviews. Ian, the owner, helped certify my cement tile roof. He was fantastic to work with, very professional, knowledgeable, and someone you immediately know you can trust. Recently, one of my cement roof tiles broke, and I was hoping Ian was still in business. I found his card, gave him a call, and within just a couple of hours Emanuel was at my house. He completed a thorough roof inspection, replaced the broken tile, and even took care of a couple of other minor maintenance items. Emanuel was friendly, professional, and took the time to explain everything. It’s refreshing to work with people who genuinely care about quality workmanship and outstanding customer service. Ian and Emanuel have been a pleasure to work with, and I truly appreciate the pride they take in their work. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Cairn Contractors to anyone looking for a trustworthy contractor.

The crew donated their time to complete the needed repairs and we are incredibly grateful as we run our services primarily on donations. We highly recommend their company for all of your roofing needs. They are a tremendous blessing.

Cairn did our roof a few years back and I recently reached out to them about getting our siding replaced. Emanuel did a great job on our siding. He was there throughout the project, coordinating with the crew, making sure that the job would be successful. Our siding looks great, and they made sure everything else connected to the siding was left better than they found it. They do extremely high quality work, and are a pleasure to work with!

I had the pleasure of meeting with Ian Davis from Cairn Roofing and was thoroughly impressed by his professionalism, knowledge, and integrity. Ian took the time to explain roofing options and considerations in a way that was both clear and genuinely helpful. It’s refreshing to meet someone in the industry who clearly prioritizes honesty and education over a sales pitch. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend reaching out to Ian if you’re exploring roofing work including heat tape installations or just need an expert opinion.
