  Made 3 calls requesting to speak with someone for an appontment to get a quote for work and was told someone would call me back, but never happened. All you get is an offsite answering service who answers the phone and just passes the message along, zero help.

  Thank you for your review. So as to allow the consumer to understand “the rest of the story”, this was a request for a very expensive home improvement project. We get those often and respond as quickly as possible, given the extensive time it takes to run down pricing and availability of materials. However, shortly after meeting this client, quite a few tornadoes struck our area doing heavy damage to hundreds of homes. We had to shift our attention to people who had lost part of their homes and needed help, as opposed to someone who (maybe didn’t notice the destruction around her) just wanted to add something posh. So, we put the request for a very expensive addition on the back burner until we could help people who actually lost parts of their homes. We communicated briefly with this client and then got the estimate to her. It’s too bad that she felt slamming us over our communication was the best course of action for a company like ours who was trying to make things better for people who were hurting. Please give this review the appropriate consideration, as this is someone grumpy over communication but has no idea of the Quality of Work we do, which is outlined on many other reviews of C and K Roofing. (It’s so easy to reach out and hurt someone on this platform.. smh)

  I would never use this business. The “Vice President” is the rudest customer service representative I have ever seen. Honestly no matter the situation the way this person handled it was disgusting. She claims her husbands 21 years of Air Force gives her the right to act like this but it does not. She treats veterans who have served just as long if not longer like trash. Follow up: I am close friends with a customer who had dealings with these people. I simply replied in a polite manner and was treated like trash. I never said I worked with your company and I never would.

  Beth was the most unprofessional person I have had the misfortune to deal with. A couple of things to watch out for: 1) READ THE BACK OF THEIR CONTRACT. They charge a “cancellation fee” if they NEVER do any work or if they do not purchase one bit of material. They delay and delay (read Yelp reviews) and threaten you if you get frustrated and wish to cancel. 2) They covered over material on my roof stating that the contract does not require them to remove material to bare wood, even if they lead you to believe that they will. PUT EVERYTHING IN THE CONTRACT. 3) Debris is EVERYWHERE because they don’t clean as they go. Yes, they did come back and clean up, but my dog got a nail in her paw because they left NO entrance clear of debris. Their solution was for Beth to SCREAM at me to the point that I had to threaten multiple times to have the cops remove her from my property. The neighbors came out to see about the disturbance. It was THAT BAD. Read my Yelp review. They demanded to see the check before work was done because Beth didn’t believe that I would pay her (her words exactly) because they had had a military member stiff them in the past. My husband wore a veterans hat that seemed to set her off. Finally, watch out for the “reviews”. They add great reviews to dilute or drown the bad ones. Yelp is the only place I’ve found that they can’t demand bad reviews are removed.

  Thank you for your feedback. This is a case of the customer isn’t always right. We very politely tried to explain our scheduling policy for our estimator during the demand of the Spring and Summer — how we set up two hour windows of time because it allows him flexibility in case things pop up that he must tend to immediately or if other appointments take longer than anticipated. This man was extremely rude to us and started lecturing us about how to run our company. His wife was very nice and seemed to understand the predicament. We were not able to make the appointment that was set, but explained as soon as we were in route, we would call, which we did. After observation of his aggressive attitude, I told him we were not the company for him and he was not the kind of person with whom we wanted to do business. We happily install Solatubes for anyone who is interested in them, and we are the only provider in North Alabama. We are grateful we politely told this man to try another company and dodged what likely would have been a nightmare!

  Was suppose to have an appointment with this company between 11:00am and 1:00am. The owner did not show up until after 5:30pm and I have it all documented. He gave me a lot of small talk about it being a family business etc... took pictures left his c and k roofing card, said he could do the job and said he would send me an estimate. Long story short never heard back from him even called to follow up and was promised to be contacted did not get back with me! This company definitely showed a lack of professionalism! Would not want to do business with a company like this, such a waste of time. If it's a small job this company want give you the time of day!!! Don't hire the company lack of integrity

  I dont know if there system is bugged, but I sent several messages and they said they didnt recieve anything. Plus their message that says to Call or Text their number was incorrect. It was a hardline and doesnt recieve texts. But they said they were looking into all the issues so hopefully no one else is missing out on their services. I have heard a lot of great things and they even sent someone out today to look at my roof lol after they read my review, but that was the only way to get them. Yes I could have called but I was too busy. If everything goes awesome I will make a 5 star review.

  We had two separate issues come up with our roof this month. C&K was very responsive and performed the roof and gutter repair within a couple days of us calling. The work was done well. We appreciate their fast response time. We would definitely use them again!

  Contacted Beth @ CandK Roofing for a few shingles that were torn off a roof (that they didn’t even install) and she had the crew immediately dispatched to our home. They replaced the shingles and were so nice. Local, Veteran and Family owned is a really big deal to me, I would highly recommend them in the future!!

  We recently hired C&K to replace our roof and back yard fence. Jim, Beth, and Brian were wonderful to work with. Their team worked tirelessly through the weekend to get our project completed. They communicated everything every step of the way from the time materials would be delivered to the time the project would be finished. I can’t imagine going through this process with anyone else. I didn’t know Jim, Beth and Brian when we started but felt like we ended as friends that I can talk to and call for future questions and projects.   I had a Solatube installed in my townhouse. The install was quick, and they installed it exactly where I wanted. I am very happy with the results. I recommend a Solatube for anyone wanting to bring some light into a dark area. C and K is the best source for these.

  C and K did a very good job getting out same day to get the hole in my roof covered, and came back out just a few days later to fix things. They even managed to exactly color match the existing shingles so well that I can't see where the damage was. Their estimate and the final total matched exactly. Would gladly work with them again.
