  Refaced my chimney 2 years ago. Put a lid over the top of the chimney (like the lid on a candy box) with no way for fireplace smoke to escape. Said they would be back to finish the job. Never finished. I have spent the last 2 years repeatedly calling. I will now have to spend an additional $500 to take Thomas Roofing to court.

  They quoted $23,500 on a metal roof, $21,000 on a 25 year roof and $17,000ish on a 5 year roof. Mind you, it’s a 2,000 sq ft house!

  Roof replaced 4 years ago by Thompson. Installation went well. We were not fully informed of a potential issue with our roof that would cause deterioration and lead to leaks (one area of stucco/flashing issue). Thompson did not have the ability to fix it at the time so of course we were not told about it, because we probably would have gone with someone else who would have addressed it. Leak #1 at the location of the unaddressed issue. Thompson says it was an ice dam due to rare/unusual conditions. Roof was fine, so nothing needed to be done about the roof itself (walls, floors ruined, big reconstruction internally). No mention of the still unaddressed issue. Leak #2 during hail storm AGAIN at location of the unaddressed issue. This time we are told - you guys have this issue we knew about years ago, but at the time, we did not have an expert able to deal with it. Now we have someone, so we can take care of that for you. The roof itself was not damaged by the hail. We signed up to finally fix the long lasting issue. However, this time there is poor communication, late arrivals, no shows. We got 3 other opinions all who do note hail damage (Thompson had said there was none) and were surprised the stucco/flashing issue had been unaddressed for so long. Not sure what is going on here, but we paid for what I thought was a quality roofing company and we did not get quality in return. We have obviously moved on.

  I CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, SEE BELOW. Finally finding a great roofing company after dealing with a bunch of duds over the past couple years can really do a lot for your stress level, wish I would have gone with them for my workshop. This experience started with Kyle coming by and going over all the options, the measurements and pre-inspection (satellite and drone based respectively, cool stuff). We settled on what we wanted and got on the schedule. The materials were delivered a day before and I noticed that the supply company sent the wrong decking (I asked to special order a specific type), Kyle and the job foreman, Keith, came out first thing the next morning and swapped out the decking in their own trucks before the roofers even needed to start using it. Finally, after it was all done Kyle came back for a post inspection. He found some corners in these uncommonly-designed window wells I have that needed a bit more flashing to make sure water would never get in there again. He sent out his repair guy Jamie, who knocked 5 windows out in 2 hours. I am so happy with my roof. --------Edit: ~3.5 years later and I am NOT so happy with my roof. The workmanship was terrible. When they did the top of my roof they cut a line of shingles and left them there. I've had to have Jamie out multiple times to fix problems with the shingles falling apart up there. They also didn't do a bunch of things they said they were going to do. They didn't install a drip edge (claimed they didn't have one that fit, I would have paid for a custom extrusion, but a Z shape drip edge would have fit) and they were supposed to do some stuff to the top of my roof to help stop pooling, which they didn't. Shingles are starting to curl and delaminate in other areas now (I have architectural style shingles) which should not happen after only this amount of time. There has been no hail or other storm damage in that time, at least not to the shingles. And now they don't answe

  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Replacing a roof is a substantial financial investment, which is why we went through the time and effort to interview multiple companies to find who we felt was the best. After a great sales experience, Thompson Roofing gained our trust and confidence, so we hired them to replace our roof, gutters, and repair interior water damage, from a tree that fell on our home. Taking emotions out of this review our goal is to provide the facts that back our poor rating of Thompson Roofing and hopefully alerts those needing roof repairs. I know if this review was present during our research, we would never have chosen Thompson Roofing. With so many companies out there, don’t take the risk! Bottom line – you want a company that does the job right and stands by their work, Thompson Roofing in NOT that company. Issues encountered: DISHONEST – Due to substantial damage to our roof and a busy work travel schedule in OCT 2023, we needed the job completed by 1 OCT 2023. This was discussed with Thompson Roofing as a requirement and they GUARANTEED the work would be completed by the 1 OCT 2023 deadline; however, a few days after we signed the contract, our sales representative stated not all the work would be completed on time as agreed. This extended the completion time to NOV 2023 and created strains on our family to accommodate the missed deadline. WORKMANSHIP ISSUES – After the first day of roof work, we went into the attic to see the progress made with the roof repairs and found Thompson Roofing had roofed over the damaged areas without fixing the roof where the tree had punctured holes through the plywood. The project manager was alerted to the issue, verified the issue, and asked if we would like it fixed because it would take longer since they already roofed over the exposed hole. We insisted they correct the issue, and it was corrected. A broken skylight, missing ridge shingles, dented gutters and sloppy caulking are a few of the other issues we

  NEVER and I mean EVER use Thompson roofing for a job. The estimator did a good job inspecting the roof thoroughly and identified the problem. That’s where the good part ends. They subcontracted the work out (admittedly) to a group of workers who did a flat out terrible job. Incorrect shingles and a wavy roof. Roofers left cigarette butts and scrap in my yard. I’m still finding discarded roofing nails in my driveway. After bringing this up, they never came back to clean up after them. Second person that came out did a good enough job, but admitted this was some of the worst work he’s ever seen.

  I wish there was a no star option. 2 months of trying to get my roof repaired, after multiple revisits and the leak hasn't even slowed down! Now I'm having a different company come out to do the work that should have been done in the first place. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

  We noticed that our chimney siding was rotting; after getting multiple quotes we decided to go with Heath from Thompson Roofing and we're so glad we did!   Bryan was absolutely amazing to work with. My schedule changed at the last minute and he immediately accommodated me.   We had a great experience with Thompson Roofing and Construction. Doug came out and was very quick with an estimate. He got a team out as soon as possible and they did a fantastic job. 5 stars on pricing, efficiency, friendliness, professionalism, communication, speed of work, and basically the whole experience. I will call them again for any future projects and would refer them to anyone I know.

  We had a full roof replaced with Thompson Roofing and Construction and were very pleased with both the process and result. Jackson Vaughn, the project estimator, made a thorough inspection and clearly walked us through our options and the cost differences. We felt like it was a detailed, fair and honest estimate. During the process, Jackson and Dexter Florey, the project manager, kept us updated on the progress of the roof and any necessary repairs. The full team was professional, skilled, hard working, and diligent. The crew arrived early and worked long hours until the job was completed. Foremost, they delivered a quality product, with materials and workmanship that will last. They took great care to go above and beyond to do the installation correctly. In addition, the team was careful to protect the surrounding area that would be affected by the roofing debris and did a thorough cleanup after the job was completed. We were very impressed with Thompson Roofing and all of their employees. They were honest and straightforward and it was nice to deal with a company we could trust.   Thompson did a great job on my roof recently. It turned a bit complicated mid job, but they were communicative and handled the complications well. It turned out beautiful. I was particularly happy with Kyle O'Toole. This is the second time I have bought a roofing project from him. I would return in a heartbeat. He is efficient, on time, and fair. Very happy.
