  I used these guys for a project and paid them promptly. A few months later I get a scathing, rude email asking me "are you going to pay your bill or do we need to go another route". It was from one of the sons you see doing all the goofy commercials. I apologized and said I am sorry I thought I had paid the bill. I look thru my banking and sure enough, the check had cleared two months earlier. I sent him proof of the payment, and the response I got was "thanks". No apology, no admission of his mistake, just thanks. A friend needed gutters and had an estimate from them. I referred him to a different company and the price was less than half. Waste your money on these guys if you like their commercials. They aren't nice people and they definitely aren't a good deal.

  Was told roof could be replaced at no out of pocket expense to me. $1200 is my out of pocket expense. I was threatened with a collection agency before our negotiations were finished. When I mentioned their 100% satisfaction guarantee they got bitter and asked if I expected not to have to pay Any of the total bill. They offered $600 bribe not to give bad review on social media, which I should have taken but could not bring myself to do. I feel I was misled by their sales staff. All the owner of Brown Boys told me was they would never mislead a customer of break insurance laws.

  Contacted Brown Boys roofing to give an estimate to replace roof turbines and install gutter covers. When their sales “professional” showed up, he never set foot on our roof and agreed to install the vents and covers. We were contacted after the initial visit by the sales person indicating that he was going to come back out and take pictures which we agreed. We never heard another word until a roofing team (that are not Brown Boys employees and were contracted out) showed up at our house unannounced and climbed up on our roof without even telling us what they were doing on our property. After figuring out who these people were, we agreed to let them go up on our roof where we hear drilling, etc. Shortly thereafter, we get a call from Jerry indicating that they cannot even replace the vents and that they don’t even work on metal roofs. We have a vent that isn’t working and are now a week plus out and have to start over. After expressing our frustration with the process and concerns that they had been on our roof drilling and our vents still don’t work and we lost of a week of time, Jerry called back and informed us that they were cancelling the gutter covers as well because we were unprofessional. We were treated unprofessional in every aspect and are starting over.

  Called to receive an estimate and was told they charge for this... very unusual and unexpected. Normally these kinds of overhead costs are recovered from quality contractors in the volume of good projects. The introduction to a relationship like this shouldn’t start with your hand out. Not good! With the recent storms and the massive amounts of claims this is likely a good little source of income!

  They wanted to charge me $80+ dollars just to come out to give me an estimate and told me it would be a week before they could schedule that. I don't mind paying for quality work, but I will never pay someone to get an estimate.

  Mr. Kenny, In order to get a drug tested, background checked, and professionally trained Roofing Specialist to your home, with a scheduled time of arrival (not like the cable company in 4-8 hour window) we do have a nominal $79 service charge for all repair work calls.   This is not a review on their work, its on ethics, dont take up two parking spots at busy restraunt with your buisness truck. Not setring a good example. I will never use them just for this reason. It leaves things open to there character like they dont care.

  Called for estimate, was informed they do not do free estimates unless they expect a full roof repair, otherwise it is a 79.00 service call. For this reason I will not chose this contractor.

  I can't say enough good things about Tayler, Eric, Aaron, Will, and Julio. They truly went above and beyond to make sure a new roof was completed before our closing deadline. Despite working in 100-degree heat, they never complained and stayed focused on getting the job done right and on time. Tayler was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process, always getting back to me quickly and keeping me updated every step of the way. He understood the importance of our timeline and did everything he could to help us meet it.   Zack McKim came out to inspect solar roof vents that were installed by Brown Boys by the previous house owner. He was professional and answered every question I had and wanted me to be 100% comfortable with the product. I highly recommend dealing with Zack and Brown Boys Roofing.
