  Background here is that our previous roof was a mix of asphalt and some cedar accents that the prior owner had done as a cheap fix. It looked terrible and leaked in two places. We wanted to do it right and go back to the cedar look since that fits the style of the house. Got quotes from a few cedar specialists serving the Riverwoods area and BPH stood out because they spent the most time actually looking at the existing structure and explaining what they would need to address underneath the shingles before installing the new Brava cedar roof. Turned out some of the decking needed work, which they walked us through with photos. The replacement took about a week. They handled everything from tear off through the Brava installation and the gutters we had them do at the same time. Both leak spots are dry now after several heavy storms and the house finally looks the way it was meant to look.

  Swapped out our old cedar for synthetic cedar shake and im really glad we did. Up close or from the street it still reads as real wood but no more worrying about rot or moss creeping in every season. Not many places around Deerfield actually do this kind of product so we didnt have a ton of options, BPH knew what they were doing with it.

  Got a few quotes from different roofers around Deerfield before going with BPH. Their consultation felt the most honest - no pressure, just laid out what needed to happen. The synthetic slate looks really good now that it's up there, cleaner than I pictured honestly. Crew moved fast and didn't drag things out over multiple days which was nice.

  got a full synthetic cedar shake roof put on and it looks incredible. the color and texture are so realistic that people walking by have asked if its real cedar. the whole roof just has this clean uniform look now that the old one never had. the way they matched everything up made a difference.

  Had our roof replaced by BPH and it was a good experience all around. The synthetic cedar looks really natural and has some nice depth to the color that I wasn't expecting from a composite material. Communication was fine throughout, they let us know when things were happening and about how long each phase would take. Pricing felt fair compared to what we were seeing elsewhere. The roof has been on for a couple months now and we're really pleased with how everything has held up so far.

  Our old cedar shake roof was past its lifespan and starting to leak in a couple spots during heavy rain. BPH came out, assessed everything, and recommended a full replacement with synthetic cedar. The new roof went on and those leak issues are completely gone. Looks better than the original did too.

  reached out for a quote and they got back to me same day. the estimator came out to our place near Highland Park within that first week and went over everything on site. didnt feel rushed or pressured which was nice. once we agreed on the synthetic cedar shake option scheduling was easy, they had a slot open about three weeks out. crew arrived right on time first morning and worked through the week steadily. tear off, install, cleanup all handled without us having to micromanage anything. pretty painless process overall.

  our old cedar shake roof was literally falling apart in chunks every time we got heavy wind. like pieces in the yard, on the driveway, it was bad. insurance adjuster told us it was shot and we needed a full replacement. BPH came out and put on synthetic cedar shake and honestly the difference is big. looks exactly like real cedar but supposedly way more durable so we wont be picking up pieces anymore. took them about four days for the whole thing and the color match to what we originally had is pretty spot on
