We have a large, complicated, two story roof with the majority being 12:12 pitch and the lower roof at 7:12. The original roof was cedar shake in dubious condition with much moss growing. Bormann Brothers gave us a fair price for the entire reroof, and we proceeded after a lengthy verification of all the details, materials, flashings, ice & watershield membranes, existing chimneys and their flashings, and our landscaping and patio which would be impacted. I can't say enough about how professional Steve Bormann and his team were. He is a man of his word and kept every promise that we went over in review. He has a deep knowledge and experience of the product requirements and the recommended detailing. He gave options for various decisions and offered his recommendations, which were in agreement with mine. I should say I'm an architect with over 45 years of experience in plans, specs, details, and construction. Steve and Bormann Brothers Construction is at the top of my list for contractors I have worked with over all those years. They completed the demolition and reroof perfectly within the scheduled two day span! They provided some additional venting of the original roof configuration at my request, and rerouted some bath exhaust vents in the attic to simplify their function for me. Extraordinary attention to everything, and the quality by the experienced crew was perfect too. I wholeheartedly recommend this firm and the dozen, kind, thoughtful men who executed that work to perfection. As you can see by the photos, Bormann Bros took care to provide temporary protection as well as safety precautions for the roofers and their access. Tremendous amount of careful demolition and just as careful installation of new Class 4 asphalt shingles. Note the completed work with some difficult valleys and existing chimney and skylight flashings to coordinate. They cleaned the entire site and restored our patio furniture right back where it was when we started just two days ea

Bormann Brothers were fantastic to work with! The communication was great and reliable. The day we got our new shingles, they worked hard, did a fantastic job, and left everything tidy and picked up. Would highly recommend!

Bormann Brothers earned our trust 23 years ago when they installed our original roof, and they earned it again with our recent roof replacement. Their team was professional, responsive and communicated clearly throughout the entire project. The quality of the work was exceptional, and our new roof looks fantastic. Cleanup is extremely important to us, and they did an amazing job leaving our yard and property spotless. If you’re looking for a roofing company that stands behind its work and truly cares about customers, Bormann Brothers is the one to call!

Mary, thank you for taking the time to write this. Trusting us with a roof replacement 23 years after we put on the first one is about the biggest compliment a roofing company in the Twin Cities can get. Quality work, clear communication, and a spotless cleanup ; that's how we've run Bormann Brothers since 1997. Thanks for the continued trust. Hail came through my Roseville neighborhood on June 19, 2026. After being deluged by “storm chasers”, and getting a couple other estimates, I reached out to friends in Eagan, and they suggested I call Bormann Brothers. Nick came out, and I pretty much knew, just by talking to him, that this was the contractor I wanted to work with. Care was taken to protect my home, deck and landscaping with tarps. A “well-oiled machine”, the entire process could not have gone smoother, and I highly recommend this efficient, friendly crew at Bormann Brothers. Thumbs up to Nick and his friendly, hardworking team! Nancy Berget

Our experience with Bormann Brothers was very positive and they came highly recommended from family members that had work done previously. From the start their estimate was the most competitive and provided a higher quality shingle AND gutter replacement for approximately $5000 less than their competitors. The team arrived early and had all of the prep done and ready before 7 am, but they were so quiet we didn’t even realize they were here. Then at 7 AM the work started. There were tarps to catch the debris and tables and coverings to protect the flowers and landscape. The entire time they worked their music was appropriate and the volume was respectable. As they neared 1’PM they were done with the job and all cleaned up. In total we found only 2 nails in the grass and mulch and no other debris left behind. We had gutters put on the next day and the team was just as efficient and the gutters look great! We highly recommend using Bormann Brothers for your roofing and gutter projects.

Thanks again for the recommendation, and reach out anytime you or a neighbor needs us. Nick & Steve

Absolutely the best customer service and job execution! We never felt pressured and they were with us every step of the way! This is the second time we’ve used them as a result of hail damage. The first time for a roof which was flawlessly executed and the second time for a roof, skylight, siding, gutters, and downspouts. I’ve recommended them to family who are also having an incredible experience. We will use them for all future home improvement needs where they provide a service! 10/10!

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this! Having you back for a second storm damage job meant a lot, and hearing your family in Faribault is having a good experience too honestly made our week. Hail seasons are rough on Rice County homes, so glad we could knock out the roof, skylight, siding, gutters, and downspouts all in one go this time. You know where to find us anytime you need us. We selected Bormann Brothers to replace our roof, because when I met with Nick, he stood out as honest and fair. He did his homework ahead of arrival. The bid clearly listed details of product and price. We knew exactly what we would get, and had confidence in the process. Questions were answered promptly. Samples of shingles were delivered. There was no pressure in the dialogue, no applied fear tactics. All materials and team members arrived promptly at 7 am, on the agreed upon project date. The team appeared happy at work, and due to the size of the crew, the job was completed, same day by mid afternoon. Shingle delivery, dump trailer, shingle removal, protective coverings, roof installation, and a fantastic clean up. All magically arrived at 7am, and by 2pm, we had a very nicely installed new roof. We highly recommend Bormann Brothers. There was instant trust, by a highly prepared team. The process was seamless, pleasant and professional. Sincerely, Kim and Steve Savage, Mn

We had Bormann Brothers replace our roof in May 2026 and are very happy with the work they did. Communication was straightforward and timely, their bid for the job was very competitive and the work onsite was thorough, quick and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend hiring them to others or using them for future projects. Their website looked like a lot of their work is in the South metro - but I'm in Plymouth and believe they work all over the Mpls./St. Paul metro area.

Thanks Jason for taking the time to write a review! Yes, we service the entire Metro so thanks for pointing that out as well. Nick and Steve Bormann Bormann Brothers Contracting Inc

We just had Borrman Bros complete our roof & gutters and we couldnt be happier with the job. They were meticulous, they did it it one day, had everything cleaned up the next day. They protected the shrubs, no leftover nails etc. Our gutters are installed better than before. Steve is a great guy, kept us informed and was a joy to work with. Thanks guys!

Bormann Bothers came out and gave us an estimate and we were on the schedule a couple weeks later! They were on time and the job was completed in less than a half day. They left the yard and work area clean and protected the yard/gardens from any damage. The new roof looks amazing and we are extremely happy with the work they did. We would highly recommend them with any roofing needs.

We saw the Bormann crew at a house down the street, watched 12 guys tear off and replace a roof before noon, amazing to watch. So a year later we hired them. Again, 12 very polite men, working non-stop, replaced our roof in a day, including new sheathing and properly installed flashing. They spent 45 minutes cleaning up very thoroughly, including running magnets to catch any metal debris. We opted for a higher end shingle, so price was higher, but very reasonable still. The house looks great. Nick was very courteous and made sure the job was done well, and told us many of the crew have been working together with Bormann for 10-20 years. It showed. We appreciate the good work! Highly recommended.
