  I had best Quality Roofing come do a repair not 24 hours it was still leaking so called them and said it was leaking they wanted to charge me a another service charge to come back fix what did the day before I do not recommended this company find someone else.

We understand how frustrating an active leak can be, especially when it continues after a repair, and we appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. As discussed during our recent call, your roof is, in our professional opinion, at the end of its serviceable life. This was previously noted during our visit in December 2021, at which time we discussed that the roof was nearing replacement and you had indicated it may be time for a new roof, although a quote was not requested at that time. During our most recent service visit, we again assessed the roof and found that its condition has further deteriorated. We provided photo documentation and clearly explained the overall state of the roofing system and the multiple visible issues present. Your roof is now in significantly worse condition, as it has been over four years since our previous visit in 2021. Natural aging, ongoing exposure to the elements, and inadequate ventilation have further accelerated the deterioration we had already identified at that time. During our latest visit, our technician identified several underlying concerns, including: Severely deteriorated shingles with significant wide spread granular loss throughout Shingles that have bonded together due to prolonged aging and wear Inadequate ventilation throughout the roofing system Evidence of previous patchwork and tar repairs that have since failed Significant organic debris accumulation contributing to moisture retention and accelerated roof deterioration We completed a targeted repair in the most vulnerable area (near the valley where shingles were damaged and prior caulking had failed from others previously). However, due to the overall condition of the roof, we did advise at the time that this would be a temporary solution only.   Unhappy with my second experience. My ceiling pot light was leaking in November and they came to repair it. Paid the bill. Everything was fine. Come April, it is the same leak. Called back and said it’s the same leak and they would have someone come out to inspect. Techs came and started “repairing” the roof without informing me of any repairs. Left without any notification of what was done. I reached out to the company TWICE to get more info as to what was done. No response until my second attempt. Got a report with recommended repairs which is normal as it needs authorization. Surprise! I get an invoice to pay more for their “repairs” that may or may not have been related to the first repair. Got no authorization for work but got the bill. Spoke to manager who tried to tell me that I “saved” money from a second visit when I approved nothing the first time around but as a customer, this is not right.

The leak our technician addressed during the visit in April 2025 was not related to the original repair completed in November 2023. The vent we previously replaced was thoroughly inspected and found to be functioning properly—this was a new issue from a different source. I also spoke directly with the technician who attended your property. He confirmed that he was in your home, went into your attic, and showed you exactly where the new leak was coming from. He advised you that the issue was due to a redundant vent, which he removed to resolve the problem. Photos were also taken from inside your attic and bathroom area to document the situation and properly assess the source of the leak. For this reason, we found it surprising to hear that you were unaware of the work being performed, as our technician made every effort to explain the issue and the steps being taken while on-site. Recognizing that it was a quick and straightforward fix, our technician made the decision to carry out the repair on the spot to prevent further water damage. While we normally wait for formal approval before performing repairs, in this case, the work was done free of charge as a courtesy to you as a previous customer. You were only invoiced for the standard service call fee, which applies to all site visits regardless of whether any repair is required. It’s important to note that this was not a warranty issue, and the new leak was not caused by any work completed during the previous visit. Had the technician left the area exposed and scheduled a return visit, it would have likely required emergency tarping and additional charges. The goal was to save you time, cost, and the hassle of a follow-up. We do regret any delay in communication and apologize if our follow-up took longer than you expected.   Do not use this company. We had a roof installed 16 years ago with a 10 year warranty on the labour and 30 on the material. At the time of install we had expressed concerns with how the roof was installed, they told us this is normal and to give it a few weeks. We have now had 3 major leaks and each time have paid out of pocket for repairs. The roof is in such bad shape it needs to be completely replaced, the shingles have fallen apart and the plywood is rotten. When we expressed the level of damage to the roof Best Quality Roofing put the blame on us for not having done yearly maintenance on the roof (this was no where in the contract that we still have) nor was it told to us to complete. In fact my father had done twice a year maintenance on the roof but the insist it needs to their roofing team. No apology was given, no solution provided. ZERO SUPPORT. Please save yourself the headache and do not use them for your roofing needs.

While we provide a 10-year warranty on labor, the 30-year warranty for the shingles is provided directly by the manufacturer, not by us. This distinction is important, as product-related issues fall under the manufacturer’s coverage, not our workmanship guarantee. In regard to maintenance, regular upkeep is essential for the longevity of any roofing system. Although it may not have been explicitly outlined in the contract, we strongly recommend annual professional maintenance to identify and prevent potential issues before they worsen. Unfortunately, a lack of such maintenance often results in problems over time, which can significantly affect the condition of the roof, including shingles and the underlying structure. It’s also important to mention that despite our offer to assist you with a warranty claim to the manufacturer, we were denied access to your roof, preventing us from conducting a proper investigation. Without being able to assess the roof ourselves, it limits our ability to support your claim or provide further guidance. While we empathize with your situation, it's important to clarify that the problems you’re experiencing now are beyond our warranty period and are related to product performance and maintenance rather than our installation. Should you wish to discuss this further or reconsider our offer for assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our team. We’re here to provide guidance and assist where possible.
