DO NOT HIRE THIS BUSINESS!!! Three separate roofers reviewed their work and described it as SHODDY. Imagine spending $11,700.00 and have to live through what my wife and I have had to live through because of this business. I had my brand new roof leak in two different locations in two years.( Two ceilings with water stains and a pan in my family room catching rain water.) They have been to my house seven times and still the roof leaked. When I had a professional roof adjuster come and inspect the work he found the following: 1. they reused the roof underlayment instead of replacing (which is clearly in my contract). 2. they reused the old ridge vents, even though they were in poor condition, and did not even seal around the nail heads. 3. they cut the roof valleys too short so the water did not even reach the gutters. (water would drip between the facial board and gutter and drip on our heads). 4. they installed gutter guards but did not provide a water shield ( this allowed ice backup under shingles and onto soffit)which has ruined the soffit on the entire length of the rear of my roof. 5. they reused the boot around the vent pipe and did not even seal around it, which was the source of my first leak. 6. they reused all old flashing. (my contract stated that flashing would be replaced with new). When I notified Bernecker Bros. of these issues, Dick Bernecker (owner) responded (in a letter) "We have no idea what the home owner is talking about... maybe the home owner just doesn't like the color of the roof". I have asked Bernecker Bros to reimburse me for damages, but they have walked away without even a response.

First of all for anyone who is planning on replacing their roof I highly recommend Bernecker Brothers. The whole process was great. Initially we called due to a leak we had in our roof. The contractor explained that due to the age of our roof, about 20 years old, that repair it isn’t possible as it would probably cause issues in the vicinity of the repair. We then requested a quote to replace the roof, and it seemed to be a fair quote and in the range we expected, but we decided to shop around and look at our options. Long story short BB came in with a very competitive price, plus the shingles they offered better quality and warranty than the competition. Although we waited a little bit for the installation to happen due to the amount of customers ahead of us and weather delays due to snow and weather, eventually the day came, we waited about two months from when we signed the contract, not bad at all. The crew came out at 7:00 AM laid out tarps to catch the trash from the old roof and had the old roof stripped by 8:30 AM. Then they replaced about 6 sheets of roof decking and then started installing the new roof almost immediately. The roof was completed by about 3 PM and when I say completed this includes the clean up, I haven’t found a piece of trash or nail as of yet and I have been in the yard. This has been an awesome experience and I strongly recommend anyone looking to replace their roof to call Bernecker Brothers. It is a quality company that does quality work, with quality contractors supplying the labor. We are planing on using BB for our gutter and siding replacement next.

Roof looks fantastic, have had many compliments from the neighbors. Logan was great, explained everything that needed to be done and why so that I could understand it. The work was done in the amount of time I was told and the workmen cleaned up really well after.

At Bernecker Brothers Roofing, our experienced team performs thorough commercial roof inspections to help property owners extend the life of their investment.
