I regret to learn that you were dissatisfied with the ABC Team. Our records indicate that your sole complaint was your reluctance to pay the contract price upon the completion of the work. We are transparent about all our expenses, which is why we require you to sign a contract that includes the job cost. We are committed to enhancing communication and ensuring that every customer experience is positive. Therefore, I apologize for any confusion you may have encountered during the process.

Curtis, I was taken aback by your review, especially given that we have no record of you ever reaching out to us. If you had, you’d know that we’re not some faceless corporation with a one-size-fits-all agenda. We’re a local company deeply rooted in our community, and we genuinely care about finding the right solutions for the people we serve. Your claim that we have “no intention” of installing anything other than Tesla batteries is simply not true. Yes, Tesla batteries are popular, and for good reason—they’re reliable and meet the needs of many customers. But we also offer other systems, like Enphase, precisely because every customer’s situation is unique. The idea that we push one system on everyone couldn’t be further from the truth. As for your suggestion that we don’t value customers in Redding, that’s a serious accusation and one I can’t let slide. Our mission is to help people achieve energy independence, whether they’re in a big city or a smaller community. We’ve worked hard to build a reputation for fairness and transparency, and your comments don’t reflect the values we uphold every day. I understand your frustrations with energy restrictions in Redding—it’s not an easy situation, and we sympathize. But to accuse us of being misleading or dismissive isn’t fair or accurate. We’re here to help and would have welcomed the chance to discuss how we could meet your energy needs. If you’re open to having a real conversation, I’d be happy to hear from you. We’re passionate about what we do, and we stand by our commitment to serving this community with honesty and care. Sincerely, Ryan McDonald Director of Sales ABC Roofing & Solar

I had a tree fall on my roof last August. I called Above Board Construction as they came highly rated on Google and through friends. My 1st meeting, they indicated they would help fight my insurance as my insurance indicated they would only pay for a roof repair while Above Board indicated I needed a full roof replacement. After months of me leaving messages with the employee assigned to me asking for updates I finally received a call back from the Owner who indicated he would personally be handling my roof repair and that he would have an email to me within a week that I could send to my insurance indicating why I needed a full roof repair. That was almost 6 months ago. I have tried calling multiple times asking to speak with the owner, always receiving the same message, that he was in a meeting and would call me back. After almost a year of giving the benefit of the doubt and understanding they are busy, I have given up and will be working with a different roofing company to get my roof replaced. I have given 1 star based solely of their customer support or lack thereof.

My family and I are incredibly thankful to have ABC Roofing & Solar install our roof. The staff was incredibly kind and professional throughout the entire process. The materials they used for the shingles are high quality and the workmanship has a 15-year warranty which gives you peace of mind. I can't thank them enough for the hard work they put into it, and I highly recommend choosing them to install your next roof.

I chose ABC because they were roofing masters with certainteed shingles. They gave me a great warranty, a good price, and a full certainteed system, which is what I wanted. Not a problem with product, or installation. Great work and the roof looks amazing. Would have loved to give them 5 stars but as another reviewer has mentioned, contact with them happens when you reach out. Signed July 3rd, paid deposit, then didn’t hear anything until I reached out 6 weeks later trying to get a project start date. Would most likely go with ABC again but needed to point out the weak link in my experience.

They did a small but important project for me—repairing the roof on my commercial building. It was a tedious job, but they handled it with professionalism and at a very reasonable price. I’ll definitely look to use them again.

5 stars would not give ABC Roofing enough justice. The whole team is incredibly skilled and professional. I felt my roof project was one of their more difficult residential jobs because it was a metal roof installation with steep pitches on the roof, limited access to parking and the house being elevated from street level. Their team was able to complete the job in just about a week which I felt was extremely fast considering the difficulty they had bringing all the materials up the hill and stairs...they also left the place so clean it was as if they were never even there. In the end, the roof looks fantastic. Thank you Derek, Craig, Ryan and Team for the incredible work. Joel

This business has a bright future ahead. Some of the nicest people I've met and definitely the most informative in the market, especially where it counts, the warranties. Mark and Ryan treated me like family and they definitely will have my business when the time comes to replace my roof again. Thank you ABC Roofing team!
