  Austin, thank you for bringing your concerns and photos to our attention. We sincerely apologize for your experience. We've looked at the photos you sent to us, and we are certainly distressed. In over 35 years in this business, this is the first time we've seen that type of collateral damage to shingles caused by a gutter installation. We agree with you that the damage most likely occurred during the removal of your old gutter covers. According to our records, we replaced the damaged shingles 3 weeks prior to your posting your review. So please, if there is anything else that we need do to make things 100% right for you, let us know.

  Was told they are not doing any roof repairs. Don't waste your time calling; look elsewhere for repair services.

  I was disappointed in what I felt like was a lack of attention to detail in the quote assessment.

  Alex, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for not having done a better job clarifying the scope of work with you. I understand that the charge for the “Hidden Damage” seems to be the main point of contention. When a customer points out rotted wood to one of our estimators, the full extent of the damage may not be readily apparent; what is visible may only be the “tip of the iceberg”, so to speak. Consider termite damage, for example: Let’s say that a small piece of siding falls off the wall. Upon closer inspection it is seen that the siding came off because the wood behind the siding has been completely eaten away by termites. At this point you know you have termite damage, but what you do not know is how extensive it might be. Is the termite damage confined to the area where the piece of siding fell off? Or might the entire wall be infested with termites? You have no way of knowing because it is all “hidden” behind the remaining siding. The true extent of the “hidden damage” cannot be determined until the siding is removed. Now, back to your house: There may have been some visible rotted wood behind the gutter or under the shingles at the edge of the roof. What could not have been determined at the time of our initial assessment is how much more rotted wood might still be “hidden” behind the gutter or under the shingles: Will the rotted wood be limited to 1 or 2 feet, or could it be 20 feet, or might there be 200 feet of rotted wood that is “hidden”, that will have to be replaced, resulting in additional charges to you? My point is that there is no practical means of determining ahead of time exactly how much “hidden damage” will be discovered or what the additional charge will be to fix it, even if it was partially visible to begin with. Despite the foregoing, I feel that our estimator should have done a better job explaining the nature of “hidden damage” to you, and preparing you for a worst-case scenario, so that you would not have felt like you were t

  We called for an estimate and we were advised that it would be some time next week. I advised that I would have to send someone out to make sure they were able to get in and so they decided to send someone on "Monday" but not a specific time. After spending most of the day waiting on Monday, no one ever showed up or even bothered to call. Very poor way to do business.

  Jake came out to inspect my home roof and 2 outer buildings after a recent storm, he was on time, very thorough and provided helpful information on the care and upkeep on the roofs.   Jake was very personable, honest, helpful, and quick to come out to assess our roof, as well as completing the repair. He helped us navigate whether or not to get insurance involved. In addition to above he also helped us navigate getting the ceiling of the room re-painted from the water damage from the roof leak! I would highly recommend ABC Roofing & Exteriors to service your roof!

  Honest, knowledgeable, responsible, and professional. Absolutely the best! They came and reviewed my situation immediately. It was a fairly unusual situation due to the ice and snow we have been dealing with lately. They knew exactly what the problem was and how to resolve it and helped work with the insurance company as well. And the price was great!

  I had a great experience with ABC from start to finish. From the free no pressure estimate from Jake who went over exactly what was included without trying to upsell me on anything. After making the initial deposit they had me scheduled for install within 8 days. The installation team kicked ass in the 90+ degree temperatures and worked a solid 11 hours to get the roof knocked out in almost a day. After finishing a few last details the new roof looks incredible. Jake kept great communication throughout the project and did a final walk through and gave me some roof maintenance recommendations.
