  We are extremely disappointed in the workmanship of the roof that was installed on our barn! When we noticed a ripple in the roof after only 2 years, we contacted the company and they refused to file our claim — and refused to offer repairs even though there’s a five-year warranty on workmanship per contract. This was a small job and could have been easily taken care of. Beware and choose wisely! After the company read our review they tried to explain away the poor workmanship by stating this: “Regarding the ripple you described, our inspection found it to be a pre-existing condition related to the underlying roof framing. The uneven area aligns with a doubled rafter in the existing framing, causing the roof deck to follow the structure beneath it rather than indicating a defect in the roofing installation.” The ripple in the tiles has nothing to do with leaking or gutter damage. The roof installer KNEW there was a preexisting condition in the barn structure and yet LAID THE TILES anyway. At the time we signed the contract they claimed they would inspect the structure to ensure tiles could be laid without the risk of future issues. Now they will not abide by their warranty policy and will not even allow us to file a claim. We will continue to pursue this claim for faulty install.

After you contacted our office about a reported roof leak, our project manager visited the property and performed a thorough inspection of both the exterior roof and the interior of the barn. The roofing system was found to be in good condition, with no visible evidence of a roof leak. Our inspection did, however, reveal that the existing gutter system was not functioning properly. The gutters were clogged, improperly pitched, and holding standing water. We also observed staining on the front face and underside of the gutters consistent with overflow. Based on the conditions observed during our inspection, we concluded that the overflowing gutter system was the source of the water found inside the barn. Regarding the ripple you described, our inspection found it to be a pre-existing condition related to the underlying roof framing. The uneven area aligns with a doubled rafter in the existing framing, causing the roof deck to follow the structure beneath it rather than indicating a defect in the roofing installation. Following the inspection, we explained the conditions we observed and the basis for our conclusion. A&M Roofing stands behind its workmanship warranty and carefully investigates every concern raised by our customers. Because our inspection confirmed that the reported conditions were unrelated to the roofing system or a defect in our workmanship, there was no warranty repair to perform.

We regret you are not completely satisfied even after we made several attempts to address your concerns in an equally fair manner. We were first made aware of water staining this May, and we responded promptly, acknowledged the staining, and attempted to work with you to find out the cause. We assured you that if the water stains were related to our work we would make all necessary repairs. You insisted on a full replacement and would not allow us to troubleshoot the roof. We also offered to have the CertainTeed Territory Manager inspect the roof to give an impartial expert opinion on the installation. You dismissed the offer, saying you would not go back and forth over pointless procedures and processes when you had a solid concern and claim that required a solution. The BBB has already determined our company addressed all the issues with your complaint and closed the file. Our customers are the heart of our business, we are very proud of the stellar reputation we have acquired and the reviews and recommendations shared here. We don’t take complaints lightly and truly regret you chose to have another company replace the roof before we could find a mutually agreeable solution for your case.

  Noticed water leaking in my home during a rain storm. Turned out water was enterring through the galvanized HVAC pipe that vents through the roof. Juret from A&M showed up on time and provided top notch service! Will use A&M again for my roofing needs.

  Update (Feb/24): Mark and his entire crew are fantastic. I’ve had two small issues on the roof area since the install over the past year, and they were very responsive to take care of the problems. Very thorough in explaining the process to troubleshoot the problems. I hope A&M Roofing is around for a very long time because they’re/they’ll be the first ones I’d call for any roofing working. 2022: Great experience with A&M roofing. The biggest thing that stands out for me is the communication. I’ve had two roofs replaced in my life and this was definitely the better of the two. Mark, the owner/president, answered all of my questions quickly and provided great advices during our roof installation. The project manager was on site the entire installation and communicated to include ensuring no debris was falling on heads as we entered and exited throughout the day. Even the material delivery guys took care to not damage the branches hanging over the driveway. While it took A&M an extra trip, I really appreciated them doing this. The estimate was the best one out of the five others we shopped around the Springfield area. But what really sold me was the communication. Really appreciate it when project managers/contractors communicate well. If I ever need roof work done, I know who to call.
