all the checks to the company fine print contract including payment for interior sheetrock repairs. Insurance approved replacement gutters for the north and south sides, and the company rep initially agreed that some sections of fascia needed replacing. On the day of work my grandfather called—workers had knocked the gutters off. When I arrived the rep changed his story and said the fascia only needed painting. The crew then began installing decking over the existing slats. I raised a concern and the rep brushed it off, saying the weight would be distributed (I asked if he was a structural engineer). Later he argued that the structural team couldn’t nail to the old slats to justify covering the decking cost. During the claim process my insurance company requested the original slats and said they would cover the decking. When I asked about the gutters the rep claimed the insurance company had taken that money back; when I called my insurer they confirmed there was still an allotment for gutters. Even after depreciation and other adjustments, we ended up with poor workmanship—nails were driven through the overhang and more nails were simply added into a bag. The company even posted photos of my house on Facebook for marketing without asking. I also received an unsigned Word document by email that was supposed to be a county-requested letter, which is unprofessional and concerning. In the end a local agent recommended a different company for future work. Overall I’m disappointed: they prioritized working off insurance money, changed their scope mid-job, and did shoddy work. I would not recommend them.

Complaint: Whitaker Roofing – Extremely Unprofessional and Negligent Service If I could rate lower than 1 star, I absolutely would. This was my second project with Whitaker Roofing, and it has been one of the most disappointing and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with a contractor. To begin with, Whitaker Roofing sent a crew to my home whose behavior was completely unacceptable — several members were observed urinating in my backyard in full view of my wife and children. That alone should have been reason enough to terminate the contract. But the situation only got worse. During the roof demo process, the crew encountered several pop-up storms that were not in the day’s weather forecast. Instead of properly securing the roof or protecting the property, the team evacuated the job site, leaving my home fully exposed to the storms. The result was extensive water damage to my home’s interior. Rather than taking responsibility or showing genuine concern for mediation, Whitaker Roofing seemed more focused on covering up their negligence. They sent over a painter who claimed the water damage could easily be “fixed with primer and paint.” As a cautious homeowner, I contacted a certified water mitigation company and 2 seperate contractors who found severe hidden damage and mold growth caused by Whitaker’s carelessness. The resulting damage has been professionally assessed at over $30,000, and Whitaker Roofing has shown no real effort to resolve or take accountability for the situation. Homeowners beware this company’s lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers’ property is alarming. I would strongly caution anyone considering using their services. Update-All replies by Whitaker, all falsities and untrue statements made up by a company that operates on over promises and negligent behavior.

    Reply from the business

Before any work began, the home already had documented pre-existing damage confirmed by the homeowner’s insurance company, including leaks in the front hall, fireplace, and living room. These conditions existed well before our work started. During the project, an unexpected pop-up storm passed through while the crew was working on the back half of the roof. The area was covered and protected immediately from the rain, and the next day our interior specialist inspected the property. He found the space dry and advised it could be primed and painted. We even offered to place fans and dehumidifiers as a precaution, but the homeowner declined. The homeowner also mentioned their upstairs HVAC system isn’t used, which can contribute to mold over time. Later photos show both old and new damage overlapping—consistent with prior insurance documentation. Regarding the alleged crew behavior, we reviewed the photos and addressed it internally. The image is inconclusive, and such conduct would not be tolerated if confirmed. This review was posted nearly two months after completion, shortly after we began legal action for an unpaid balance. We stand by our documentation, professionalism, and long record of quality work across thousands of successful projects.

Hi Tianna], thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I’m truly sorry to hear about the frustration this situation has caused. After reviewing your comments, I believe this review has been left on the wrong location’s Google page. Larry is a representative of our Alpharetta division, while this listing is for a different branch of Whitaker Roofing. We’d respectfully ask if you’d consider removing this review from this location and, if you still feel it necessary, repost it to the Alpharetta division’s Google page so it reaches the right team directly. That said, now that we’re aware of a potential issue, we absolutely want to help get it resolved. To my knowledge, no one here or at the Alpharetta office had been made aware of this concern until now, but we will reach out to Larry and gather the full story so we can understand what happened and how to make it right. We truly value referrals and always uphold the integrity of that program across all divisions. Please feel free to reach out directly as well if you'd like to share any additional details or documentation to help us move quickly toward resolution. Storm chasers, Cade showed up one evening around 7pm to Henry county Ga said I had a "lot" of damage, called my insurance company, filed a claim, adjuster came out said I didn't have ANY damage. So I called another roofer in my area and he stated the same, "NO DAMAGE"

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! PLEASE CHOOSE ANYONE ELSE!!! The roof was replaced in December of 2024-- that was a rough experience in itself, but I only have limited space to write my review. In January of 2025, we had a snow storm that dumped a few inches on us, and having had the rood recently replaced and with melting snow, I decided to look around the attic and in the interstitial spaces in the house to check for leaks and to my surprise, I found a very noticeable leak in the interstitial space near my children’s room and near a chimney on the rear of our home. The leak was very noticeable and required me to place a bucket. I took video and pics and sent to the roofer because now I had this great 5-year “warranty” so surely, they will take care of it. Afterwards, one of the original roofers was sent out to check the problem—it was the coldest week of the year (sub-freezing for a week) everything was frozen. The roofer spoke very little English, his very young son tried to translate as best he could (but it was not very successful), and the roofer went on the roof wanting to capitulate rain with my “frozen” water hose—needless to say that was also unsuccessful, but as a consolation prize and to not make a complete waste of time on the roof, he did point out that I had a crack in the mortar of the chimney that was in the area—clearly this MUST be the issue and they don’t have to worry about this. So, after a few more videos, scheduling challenges ( I do work and they needed to come inside), we get to May 2025 (yes, the roof has been leaking all this time and I thought that I could depend on a “warranty” to help me), and now I have sent my 3rd set of videos, asked them to come out because my children were experiencing weird and acute respiratory symptoms (as of May 2025; MOLD was cultured from this interstitial space and in the vents of my kids room), one episode ended up with a visit to the ER and after expressing this to Whitaker Roofing, I got a message saying, “we

We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve experienced and the distress this has caused your family. At Whitaker Roofing, we strive to provide quality service and take all customer concerns seriously. We are particularly concerned about your children’s health and hope they are recovering well. Regarding the reported leak, when we were first notified in January 2025, our team visited your home and identified a crack in the chimney’s mortar as the likely source of the issue, rather than the roof replacement we completed in December 2024. As the chimney is not part of the roof replacement process, this would not be covered under our 5-year workmanship warranty. However, to ensure your satisfaction and confirm our findings, we offered to schedule additional inspections to verify the source of the leak and assist you further. Unfortunately, we faced challenges aligning our schedules, and on multiple occasions, you instructed us not to return, stating you preferred to work with another contractor. We respect your decision but have repeatedly offered to revisit your home at a time convenient for you to confirm our assessment and address any concerns related to our work. Regrettably, these offers have not been accepted, which has limited our ability to further assist you. We remain committed to resolving this matter and ensuring your home is secure. If you reconsider, we are ready to schedule a visit to inspect the roof and chimney at your convenience, at no cost to you, to confirm whether the issue stems from our work. Please contact Scott to arrange a visit or discuss next steps. We value your feedback and are dedicated to maintaining our reputation for integrity and quality service. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope to have the opportunity to address your concerns.

I have had the greatest experience with Whitaker! I took full advantage of their services in the course of my roofing claim through insurance, and they did a really great job working with the insurance company. To top it off, my roof looks absolutely amazing and beautiful. Trust me, I work in roofing claims, I know a beautiful roof when I see one! Ha! But seriously, Whitaker has made this process anything but stressful, and did an amazing and thorough job on my home. Thomas did a great job facilitating everything, and I would 10/10 recommend them for your roof repairs with no hesitation! Edit after continued business: This company, WRC, has received roughly $13,000 on my roof already from insurance payments. I owe them my deductible. When the claim was solidified, I advised Thomas, that we would not have the money for the deductible until the Spring, and would be willing to wait and have the roof replaced when I could pay it. He assured me we could do a payment plan, and went ahead and scheduled the roof replacement for October 2023. The contractors who completed the work caused damage to my front porch, and blew a fuse in our living room with their generator (the sockets still don’t work because we can’t afford to get them replaced yet), but I was understanding and did not even mention it as I felt the roof was beautiful and was appreciative of the work. After the roof was replaced, Thomas came by to start the payment plan, and sprung the news that we needed to run my credit. Had I been told this before, I would have refused. My credit ain’t great, and that’s just the honest truth! I was denied, but told a co-signer would fix it. My husband attempted to cosign, but it was still denied. While we stood there, I asked if he could send me the invoice so that I could start making payments on it. I was willing to pay $500 a month in-house to get it done. he refused and stated they had another financing company that could do it. This meeting took place at the beginning o
