  UPDATE (08.11.26) Painters after their shoddy roof work found the flashing and PVC were improperly screwed/nailed into clearly rotted wood on roof support beams, contrary to Valentine’s responsibilities under Seattle building code. Further inspection found… 1. that the PVC was installed incorrectly with a reverse shingling pattern directing water off the side of the roof and away from drains creating a significant roof/fascia water damage risk and slope erosion risk; 2. there are a couple “soft spots” under the PVC where there should be plywood and underlayment; 3. the PVC was stapled/nailed improperly in multiple areas creating punctures/cuts where water will intrude and has intruded. UPDATE (06.09.26) Despite promising they would match our existing cedar fascia, independent carpenters confirmed Valentine used a cheaper pine, which, in addition to not matching original cedar fascia, won’t last in PNW. UPDATE (05.27.26) Updating our review as we are now seeing that Valentine’s shoddy work includes driving nails back out through our ceiling’s drywall. This has been an absolute nightmare of grift and incompetence. Misleading quotes, unprofessional finishings, clearly scaling with cheap labor since being acquired by a private equity firm, while hiding behind a previously established brand and a warranty program. UPDATE (04.28.26) +1 Star. Valentine promptly sent a team to address the fascia that was misaligned as well as restore the 45-degree miter joints where those boards met at corners. They also applied sealant along some of the flashing edges. ORIGINAL Beware: Private Equity Owned Brand Stretched Thin I relate the following with all due respect, and hold no animosity toward any individual, but I want to hold Valentine as a company to the high standard it advertises, as we did not get the quality of workmanship for which we paid.   Absolutely do not stand behind their product or warranty. You are on your own as soon as you pay for the roof. They will not make repairs, decline warranty claims, blame any wrongdoing on you. Also, will leave trash on the roof and driveway, including screws and nails, resulting in potential damages, will damage your siding, trims and flower beds and won't even apologize.

  Just about every part in the process of replacing our roof was bungled by the inept staff at Valentine roofing. Rather than go into every detail, let me just say that after the roof was done, we noticed an issue. They admitted it was their fault, but it took us nearly a year to get them to act and repair the original issue. During one of the many delays (imposed by them for some unknown reason), they left our home open to the elements and a leak occurred that damaged the interior of the house. During the process, their communication with us was so poor that we had to hound them to respond. Their communication within the company was also almost nonexistent. They have seen huge turnover and morale was very low. They couldn’t have given our project less thought/attention. Do yourself a favor and run far away from this company. My one star is a generous rating.

  After getting a few estimates I decided to go with Valentine. Tried for over a week to make an appointment for my roof replacement, calling and texting but nobody would get back to me. They never did call me back. I'm not sure what happened, maybe they are not interested in smaller roofs?

  Valentine roofing did my parent's roof in December 2024. I spoke with the lead about a rotted plywood section that wasn't accessible in the attic. I let him know I wanted to put eyes in the section before they sealed it back up with new plywood. After stripping the roof they installed the new plywood sheet before I could check it out. I asked how it was underneath and they told me it was fine. I pulled the sheet up and it was not fine. The insulation in there was wet. I was also concerned about there being a dead animal in that section because of a smell. There was mouse droppings but no dead animal. Other that that they did good work, but they let me down. I'm glad I pulled the sheet up and was able to swap out the wet insulation and clean out the mouse poop. Again, solid roofing work, but frustrating they didn't respect my request and buried a problem before I could check it out.

  I have had issues with my roof ever since Valentine Roofing installed it over 2 years ago. First it was leaking because the vent was done wrong and the leak damaged the ceiling of my 125 year old house. It took over a year to get them to fix the issue. Now back in December when we had all the rain my chimney was leaking and big water spots on the ceiling again. Valentine sent out their tech and he said the original roofers did not replace the flashing on the chimney, they just put tar around the edges and now it's leaking. The supervisor texted me and said it was my fault and the chimney was old and that they were not responsible. I called two more roofing companies and both said that the flashing was not replaced and that is why the leak. The photo is the one taken by the Valentine Tech and showing the tar job. They did not live up to their contract.

  These guys did a fantastic job. The communication was prompt, accurate, and complete. They told us what was going to be done and when they would do it. Our roof looks fantastic and has performed well. They were professional, courteous, clean, and they completed the job on time.

  On July 31st 2026 the warranty department of Valentine Roofing came out to do a repair around one of our skylights. The service man who did the work was so professional and meticulous that I was amazed! He did an absolutely super job. What makes this even more extraordinary is that Valentine did my roof replacement at least 12 years ago but the warranty department headed by Dominique did not hesitate to assume responsibility and did the repair at no charge. Valentine Roofing is an exceptional business that goes above and beyond to help their customers. I will recommend them to all my friends and family!

  sam was very professional, thorough and detailed in his work. He pointed out a few issues he found. After cleaning gutters, he cleaned up all the debris. I’d highly recommend. This service was roof maintenance, moss prevention, gutter cleaning .
