I’m writing this as an update review as I previously gave Upper Hand Roofing 5 stars. DO NOT use Upper Hand Roofing to replace your roof, they have poor work and craftsmanship. Here it is 4 years later since having my roof replaced by them and it’s leaking so bad in my garage area it’s like a constant waterfall every time it rains. This is the same exact area that was leaking prior to them replacing the roof from the beginning. I happened to notice it one day when I was exercising in the garage and it was raining out so who knows how long it’s been leaking, so I called them and they came out the next morning to look. They took pictures and measurements and told me the project manager was out of town but would be back Monday, this was on a Friday. Monday came around and no call. I called Tuesday to check in and was told they would contact the guy who came out and call me back, no call back. So, Thursday I called them back and was told they were gonna talk to the project manager and call me back. They did call back this time just to tell me that my roof only had a 1 year warranty so it’s not covered to be repaired. So here I am with a waterfall coming from the ceiling in my garage and mold due to poor craftsmanship and work done by Upper Hand Roofing and stuck with having to figure out how I’m going to fix it. Whatever you do DO NOT use Upper Hand Roofing if you want a lasting roof, they do HORRIBLE work!!

Thank you for sharing your updated experience — we’re very sorry to hear about the water intrusion and the frustration it has caused you. We take all concerns seriously, and we want to clarify a few important points for you and for anyone reading. When your roof was replaced in 2021, you selected our most economical package at the time, which included a 1-year workmanship warranty. While that warranty period has long since expired, we recognize that many homeowners want longer protection. That’s why, based on experiences like yours, all of our roof packages now come standard with a lifetime workmanship warranty. In this case, even if your roof were still under warranty, the leak appears to be unrelated to our workmanship. Roof leaks can result from many factors — such as structural settling, added penetrations, or weather events — and not always from the original installation itself. That said, we don’t want you to feel stranded. We would be glad to provide a free estimate to help with a clear solution at a fair price. Please reach out to us at 832-632-1160 with any questions. We value your trust, and we hope to earn back your confidence through transparency, accountability, and the improvements we’ve made since your project.

Neglecting a call from a prior customer as well as recent discovery that they ignored a major flashing getting installed. Follow up needed. Called Josh for our vents to be flashed, no return call after he said it would be an additional fee. …

Really disappointed in the attitude of the man who claimed to be the owner. We had to have them out 3 different times to our rental property because the Inspector kept telling us it wasn't done right. They came out 3 times to resolve the …

Called back in 2018 for a bid and no one ever came. I wasn't completely prepared to do my re-roof anyways so I wasn't bothered by it so much. Two years later I called again the girl said someone would call me about a bid for a full re-roof. Never received the call. Called again and informed her no one called and I was interested in the bid. She sounded irritated that I called again and she said "Ill let him know to call you today". No call back. Surprised me because of all the good reviews they received on FB. I don't need to beg someone to give me a bid, so to me they don't want my monies. So needless to say it turned out to be a blessing because Bay Area Roofing came out and did a great job with awesome warranty.

Upper Hand Roofing & Construction has replaced my roof, repaired a section of gutter, and done some repair work on my chimney. They are reliable, friendly, and do excellent work in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.
