UPDATE 2 (2/16/26): I sued CertainTeed, the manufacturer and warranty company due to poor workmanship from TrueHome and won. I’ve also contracted with Golden Group Roofing who repaired TrueHome’s shoddy work along with another issue on our ridge vent. They were great to work with and we will be using them moving forward. I would suggest others do as well. UPDATE 6/23/25): We have since had another issue with a water leak due to workmanship that the installer admitted upon his own inspection. To make matters worse, the "repair" caused additional problems and the same spot leaked again 5 months later. TrueHome has not honored the warranty, and hasn't responded to us or the shingle company, Certainteed. Certainteed has even informed me that they dropped them as an authorized installer. Avoid these guys at all costs! We inherited a house with a roof that was put on 2-3 years prior to us moving in and was still under warranty. John from TrueHome (original installer) facilitated the warranty transfer for us. We did experience a leak around a vent boot, and after some back & forth, someone came out and repaired the leak at no cost to us. The back and forth was a bit difficult at times as we weren't the original paying customer, which would warrant something closer to a 2-3 star rating. However, they did ultimately send out their subcontractor to do the work without charging us, and the repair seems to be holding after several snow and rain storms. The result of the work was more like a 4 star rating. I averaged the two and came up with a 3 star rating for now. I'll update this down the road as we'll likely need some siding or gutter work done in the next year or two and will give TrueHome a try.

Chip, We’re genuinely sorry to hear that this project became such a frustrating experience for you. When you initially reached out regarding the leak after purchasing the home, we worked to facilitate the warranty transfer and sent someone out to inspect and address the issue at no charge, even though you were not the original contracting party. At that time, our goal was simply to help and ensure the roof was performing as it should. Roofing systems can be complex, and leaks are sometimes caused by a combination of factors involving vents, flashing, surrounding components, or work performed by other trades. Whenever we are notified of a concern, our standard practice is to inspect the area thoroughly and determine the root cause so it can be properly addressed. We take pride in standing behind our workmanship and responding when issues are brought to our attention. It’s disappointing to hear that you feel your concerns were not resolved to your satisfaction. Our intention has always been to act in good faith and provide support when possible. We truly wish you the best with your home moving forward.

    Very unprofessional company.

I have no idea who you are. You certainly aren’t a customer. I’m guessing you’re affiliated with the Adipietro’s. We have more than 75 glowing reviews saying that we’re professional, we do great work, we’re pleasant, we clean up well, etc… it’s unfortunate that one customer with an axe to grind can harass a business on google.

It's taken me a while to write this as it is my first ever negative review but I feel a responsibility to do so. We had our our roof, windows and siding done by Truehome. John was a nice guy and we felt confident that the work would be performed well and professionally. He said that either he or his son would be on the job site daily. They were not. It seems like the jobs were subbed out. That normally isn't a problem. In our case, it was. Our siding has no insulation installed under it so our 200-ish year old home is drafty and cold. (we discussed the need for this insulation during the initial planning/consultations) Our roof was the worst of all. I don't know how to describe the hows and whys of the fact that it was not installed properly. I do know that we have a leaky, buckled roof that needs to be completely replaced. This is a fact that has been verified by 2 other roofing contractors and the town building inspector. As of today, Truehome has not agreed to pay to replace the roof. They did offer us a smaller amount of money that was nowhere near the cost of a new roof. We have had other work done on our home by different contractors since and have been totally satisfied. I'm sharing one picture but trust me when I say that the whole roof looks like this.

We have more than 70 five star reviews saying that our work is excellent, our business practices are fair and honest, and we’re professional. I have an email saying how happy you were with the roof. We did your siding and windows a few months later and also have an email stating how happy you were with that. We noticed a piece of plywood that buckled on your roof and discussed possible causes. You didn’t like the possibility that it might be due to the fact that there was no insulation in the attic and that warm moist air caused the plywood to buckle. I sent an article explaining how that could happen. I offered to fix that but requested that we be paid if it was not an installation issue. You instead decided to keep the final payment of more than $10,000 for the siding and windows. There is an email chain corroborating all of this including the multiple times we offered to fix it for you.

Useless company. I first met with a fine gentleman whom came out to the property and did a quick check of the roof. It took 2 weeks for John to get back to me and take a second look. He then tells me he can't do the roof because something about being too much work for him. I'm a flipper and already needed this job done a week ago. John then makes a second appointment with me for today, which he does not show up to and does not even email or call me ahead of time to cancel. I have now sunk 3 extra weeks into this flip project and had to cancel an appointment today with someone else because John was supposed to show up and work with me. He claims that he lost his entire roofing crew today. Conveniently the morning that I was to meet with him. I wonder how true that EXCUSE is.

I thought I’d amend my response to point out that this non customer enjoys giving low rating reviews online. He has 26 reviews and most are 1 star. As I said, we didn’t even work for him. He doesn’t get his way and decides to take it out on others. I’m sorry that we couldn’t help you. My son took measurements and we sent you an estimate soon after. When I went to see the project I saw that there was much more work needed as the house is in a state of disrepair. Being a flipper, I’m surprised you don’t have your own roofing crew.

John spent as much time with me as I needed to help me make the choices for new doors, siding, shutters, and gutters. He even pointed out suggestions that I didn’t think about but love. They let me choose when the job would get done based on my availability. The crew were very hard workers and someone was always checking on the job. The price was reasonable and everyone was always pleasant. I highly recommend them.

A large section of my roof gave way at the start of winter weather. The folks at TrueHome had me sorted out in no time. Super easy folks to work with. They were prompt, communicative, and got the job done ahead of schedule. I found their work to be of the highest quality and I cannot recommend them enough. The financing option was super helpful since I had no budgeted for this at all. Getting a new roof is a drag for sure, but John and Zach made it was good a situation as it possibly could be. Many thanks, guys.

A metal roof can last for many years, but there comes a point when repeated repairs may no longer be the best solution. Recognizing when replacement is worth considering can help prevent small roofing problems from turning into larger ones. In Worcester, MA, seasonal changes can be especially demanding on roofing systems. Snow, ice, rain, and temperature fluctuations can contribute to issues such as corrosion, loose fasteners, damaged panels, or worn flashing over time. A proper metal roof replacement should start with an evaluation of the existing system. Looking at the roof structure, panels, seams, flashing, ventilation, and drainage helps determine whether replacement is necessary and what needs to be addressed during the project. If your metal roof has recurring leaks, visible deterioration, or requires frequent repairs, it may be time to consider a replacement rather than continuing with temporary fixes. A new metal roofing system can provide dependable protection while addressing problems that may be difficult to resolve through repairs alone. If you're unsure whether your roof needs repair or replacement, have it professionally evaluated. Learn more about metal roof replacement and discuss your options with a roofing professional.2 days agoLearn more
