We asked True for a quote to fix items found from a home inspection for the sale of my house. They gave us a quote for that and also took it upon themselves to say they identified repairs the inspector missed. Since we were under contract, we had to disclose that to the buyer and then were obligated to use True for the repairs. A $4,810 repair cost me $10,635. Their new items were not necessarily known things that needed repair, they were inspecting valleys and ridges, then repairing as needed plus replacing all pipe flashing. There were no leaks to indicate any of these additional items/areas needed attention. It’s strange that they didn’t give us a cost range for the new stuff, how would they know if they needed to repair something until they inspected it, wouldn’t a repair incur more material and time costs. I’m 95 years old, just moved into assisted living, and do not feel they treated me fairly. Also, they were supposed to repair rotten wood on the fascia and did a sloppy job at that, scabbing in scrap wood, not removing all of the decayed wood, and not even putting a primer or paint over it, which we explained was available to use. If I still owned the house, that would NOT be acceptable and they would need to fix it properly, see photos.

Richard, we are very sorry that you are displeased with the result of your real estate transaction, however, everything we did was at the request of your agent. After we were contacted by your real estate agent we provided a quote for the items listed in the home inspection only, as requested. This estimate was shared with the buyer's agent who then asked us if we could warranty the entire roof after the repairs were completed. We said, no we are not able to warranty work completed previously by other contractors. The buyer’s agent asked what it would take to get a warranty on the entire roof. At their request a thorough inspection was conducted and both your agent and the buyer’s agent requested all the additional work be done, which resulted in additional costs. We did not take it upon ourselves to do anything. We were nothing but honest with all parties involved. After all of the work was done, including the additional repairs, the buyers were supplied with a warranty on the entire roof, as promised. As this work was completed as part of a real estate transaction, we have no way of knowing who is paying for what in escrow, as these items are negotiated between agents and presumably their clients. To address your photos and the wood work, we were not contracted to make any repairs to the previously damaged framing or rafters under the eaves. We replaced one piece of facia and plywood under the tile only, which is white because it is primed. Although no one mentioned paint and we did not contract for that, we would be happy to go back and paint the facia. Additionally, because the roof is now under warranty, we are happy to return for any reason at the request of the new homeowner.

True Roofing recently replaced our 23-year-old roof in Chino Valley. Adam arrived on time to measure, and a comprehensive estimate was provided within a few hours. Once we picked the color and signed the offer sheet, the materials were ordered with a 35% deposit. We needed to get some fascia painting done in advance of the re-roofing, and Adam accommodated our painting schedule. A small, very experienced crew arrived on time on the scheduled date. The roofers were personable and communicative, keeping us informed of their progress and plan-forward at the end of each day. They were respectful of our time and our property; and despite high winds during much of the work, I’m not aware of any debris that escaped our yard or were left behind. Their clean-up included the use of a large magnet to pick up any nails from the tear-off and re-roofing processes. During the tear-off, they exposed a few problem areas and replaced some sections of plywood at a reasonable additional cost. It’s clear that Adam and his crew take great pride in the quality of their work, and we’re very pleased with the result.

Had an issue with some cracked/broken tiles and True Roofing (Adam) was highly recommended. He came the next day, gave an overall courtesy inspection, estimate for repair and scheduled a following day repair. Such a personable, honest businessman. I would highly recommend this company for ALL of your roof needs.
