  Hi Kathryn. I apologize for your experience with us. Our goal is to take care of our clients and sometimes we make mistakes, my sincerest apologies for that. It’s not an excuse but an apology. When I did speak with you I did offer to come now and we had a pleasant conversation and rescheduled for next week. I apologize your time was wasted and never want that for our clients.   The 2 stars for the review was for the initial inspection. The owner was the one to come out, he thoroughly inspected the roof and diagnosed/estimated quickly. After receiving the estimate, I indicated that I wished to move forward with the repairs, I received no response. After contacting the front office I was given a date and arrival window for when the repair technicians would come. I made sure that someone would be at the house during that time, to make sure that the repairmen had everything they needed from us. They never showed up, and the front office never contacted me to let me know that they weren't going to make it, and they didn't respond to my email/voicemail when I asked if they were running late. I went through that same routine 3 times. 3 times of no shows, no contact, nothing. I emailed the owner about my issues, no response. 2 stars are for the initial inspection, -3 stars -1 for each no show.

  *SORRY FOR THE LONG READ I had a VERY bad experience with Marcus and Strong Roofing. We had set an appointment with them "seeing as they had very good reviews" to inspect our roof for hail damage. He was over an hour late for the appointment with no call ahead of time. After confirming the hail damage, we set up for Marcus to meet our Insurance Claim Adjuster when they came out for their inspection. He didn't show up on time, or at all for that matter. Said he had another appointment and wouldn't make it in time. I guess our appointment didn't matter. The Insurance adjuster said we had no hail damage because Marcus wasn't there to represent us like we planned. Marcus then said he would come out the next day to see what the inspector had chalked on our roof about the inspection. Again, no call, no show. Finally text me back the next day but I had already started working with another amazing roofing company by this point. The new company helped us fight with Insurance for 2 months including sending detailed reports with pictures and finally we got a roofing engineer out and deemed it a total loss from hail damage. It didn't need to take this long, but it did because Strong Roofing wasn't reliable and always put us 2nd to other things. Them not showing up cost me 2 months of fighting with Insurance and almost 18k out of pocket. Look elsewhere for reliability and respect.

  Marcus is a very personable guy and will do his best to see work is done. We had problems with the material…no fault of Marcus, but made for a stressful project. Needed to reorder material which made the project much longer, luckily the roof was sealed with an upgraded material that Marcus recommended.

  Helped my elderly parents find Strong Roofing, and glad I did. Their roof looks better than it did before, Marcus was quick to get back to me and easy to work with, even while I was out of state trying to arrange things. Thank you!

  I found Marcus and his employees a pleasure to work with. All work was performed in a very timely and efficient manner, all production timelines were met or exceeded. The clean up at the end of the project was outstanding and in every way he worked to meet or exceed my expectations. On top of that everyone had a pleasant and caring attitude in completing the project. I would highly recommend Strong Roofing for your roofing project in the Quad City area.

  We have dealt with many contractors in the past and have never had a better experience than we had with Marcus (Owner of ‘Strong Roofing’). He’s professional, honest, polite, and someone who cares about his clients. He takes time to answer your questions and concerns. His crew were on time and demonstrated hard working ethics. No one standing around goofing off. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up after the job was done. We love our new roof. It’s beautiful.
