  This spring, I had the pleasure of hiring a roofing company in Miami to build a carport for my home. I was impressed with the final result—it turned out to be much nicer than the typical rounded-eave carports you see everywhere. Donovan, my sales consultant, was very patient and helpful as I changed my mind a few times about the design. I decided to go with a carport that had regular eaves with an overhang, and I chose to have three sides closed in for extra protection from the Miami sun and rain. Before choosing this company, I reached out to a few other local roofers, but none of them gave me the confidence that they'd actually show up or handle my sloped lot. Most wanted the ground to be almost perfectly level, but my spot had about a 12-inch slope. Donovan listened to my concerns and assured me they could manage it with no issues. When it came time for installation, the crew—Jacob and another team member—arrived early and looked very professional. Their work truck and trailer were clean and organized, and they used high-quality tools for the job. They took the time to snap chalk lines for the screws, did a great job boxing in the corners, and made sure the far end was fully enclosed. The finished structure looks almost like a garage and is definitely a step above the typical store-bought carports. Although I spent a bit more than I originally planned, I feel the quality and service were well worth it.
