  The worksite was a real mess during the roof renovations. At the end of the project, there were still nails in the lawn. If the company wants to discuss how it treats its employees and how much effort is required to get their rightful pay (which, historically, isn't exactly a hallmark of the owner's "rightful" approach) upon completion of the required services, so be it. Based on my experience with the company, it certainly doesn't inspire me to recommend them, given the cleanliness of the worksite I witnessed and the values ​​they supposedly uphold. So, if what you're looking for is a roofing job, I have no doubt about the workers' competence itself. The problem lies in the "other" work (like the bottles and cartons thrown everywhere among the nails, making the site look like a garbage dump), which gives the work a more haphazard appearance than Mr. Hamel intended. PS. I saw one of your job sites again, with the Parker truck all crooked in the street. Glad to see you're willingly contributing to perpetuating this crooked image. By the way, you didn't get a chance to evaluate my work; I stormed off at the end of your day because I'd seen enough and didn't want "that" on my resume, much less as experience. If it makes you happy to say I was sweating my life out and wasn't good... Go ahead, Ben, but that doesn't explain why I had to chase you for three weeks to get paid and why I had to tell you I was starting labor law proceedings just to get half a day's pay for work I legitimately earned through hard work ;)

  Don't do business with this company. I've never regretted it so much. All those who are dissatisfied should file a complaint with the RBQ. I've already done so, and the rest of the procedures will follow because they have the audacity to ignore me.

  STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. A horror story involving water infiltration, resulting in over $40,000 in repair costs. All the tenants were relocated; luckily, they had insurance. But mistakes happen, and that's not the real issue. The most striking aspect is the attitude following the installation of the new roof. I had the opportunity to speak with an employee who was working to fix a problem. He openly admitted that what he was doing would reduce the roof's lifespan from 25 to 12 years because the water wouldn't drain properly. He even told me he would never do that in his own home, but that it was his order from higher up. The problems will surface in 10 years, but they guarantee the work for 5 years, so... The company's owner, after a phone conversation, then had the audacity to say he was satisfied with the work done. The client in question must therefore hire a new company to repair the one-month-old roof installed by Toitures Hamel. (In the photo, it is not raining, and the water will remain like that for days and days until it finally evaporates; it does not reach the drain and cannot be evacuated).

  My roof needed a complete overhaul after 20 years of wear and tear. It was a bit stressful because it's a major project. I received a detailed quote with supporting photos (taken by drone). Communication was always excellent, very polite and professional. A team of six completed the work in three days, and the site was left spotless. Honestly, I have absolutely no complaints. I highly recommend them.

  The work was well done at a very competitive price. They were definitely the cheapest. The work was well presented before and after with a complete photo report, which I appreciated, as did my property insurance company.
