Do not use this company! I hardly ever leave reviews. Absolute waste of money and time. Heavy on the sales (door to door soliciting) and over promising. Promised the replacement of the roof would be 1 week... it took over a month and still …

I can appreciate your feedback. A standard roof replacement does take around a week. However, yours took longer due to needing wood replacement for almost the entirety of the roof, requiring an additional week. Total project took 3 weeks not 4, and your roof was done in 2 weeks but solar replacement took an additional week. So yes, standard roof replacement would ordinarily take a week, but thats merely an estimate until we car tear off the roof and see the condition of decking below it. To make up for the week delay in solar replacement, we gave you a discount on the project. We apologize again for the miscommunication of timelines, and hope you enjoy the protection for years to come.

FIVE STARS for the customer service!! Hands down the best customer service and office representatives. We had a lot of major hiccups during our project and the office staff (specifically Zuleyma and Austin) were the reason everything worked out so smoothly. The two of them need some kind of recognition for the amount of communication and effort they provided. PHENOMENAL PEOPLE!! *First and foremost this is a large company. They subcontract other companies to provide the work you hire them to do. Pros and cons to this but we ran into more cons than anything. We hired Tidal for our roofing project. *0 freaking stars for marketing techniques. I get it, there’s way to do things but it was kind of frustrating and an overkill to have someone over for over an hour with a power point presentation that refused to go over prices until the presentation was done. Meanwhile we are trying to take care of our three children at the same time and there was just zero interest in shortening it or just giving us pricing. The sales rep had a long drawn out process of their nail clean up safety and overall process on how they are highly rated for their clean up and seriousness in nail care (this is important for later). We finally get to pricing and it was higher than what we were shopping around for and previously quoted by 3 businesses before Tidal. But given the lengthy discussion about nail safety when we have three kids and two dogs we chose the more expensive company. *2.5 stars for the work and START of the project. Our project started and the first day with the first crew that arrived was a disaster. The property was not prepped like promised before the demolition (tarp). The crew did not use the magnet and or metal detector the sales rep claimed they use to clean the outside of the property. We found SO many nails and trash outside and our property was left so careless. I understand the hidden nail here and there during the project but these were out in the open in our drive way

Thank you for the detailed feedback and for recognizing Zuleyma and Austin — we will make sure they receive the recognition they deserve. I’m very sorry for the prep, clean-up, pricing and communication failures you experienced and for the unacceptable on-site behavior from the initial crew. We removed that crew, had our lead foreman inspect the property, comped your lumber costs, and arranged a second crew that completed the project to your satisfaction. We take subcontractor oversight, nail-safety practices and clear pricing very seriously and will use your feedback to improve training and our sales process. If there’s anything more we can do to ensure your home remains safe and finished to your standards, please contact our office and we will assist promptly.

My experience with Tidal Remodeling was unprofessional and dismissive. The initial appointment to discuss the project and take measurements went smoothly, but the follow‑up appointment was a completely different experience. One representative stayed on his phone, and the other told me they couldn’t provide pricing because my husband wasn’t present — despite me clearly stating that I am the decision‑maker. When I asked for a simple quote, I was told we needed yet another appointment. I followed up afterward asking for an email contact, but no one ever responded. I chose a different company that treated me with respect, provided a quote promptly, and didn’t require my husband’s presence to discuss a project I’m paying for.

We’re very sorry your experience with Tidal Remodeling was unprofessional and dismissive. That behavior is unacceptable and we are investigating the incident, reinforcing staff training on professional conduct and respecting the client identified as the decision-maker, and reviewing our follow-up procedures. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and apologize we did not respond to your request for contact. If you would like to discuss this further, please email us at info@tidalremodeling.com.

Unprofessional individuals and very greedy company with low standards of business conduct. Very unprofessional and not pleased from them

Jonathan, I’ve checked my entire system and have no record of you, not as a current customer nor even an appointment. Can you tell me a little more about this interaction with us that’s caused you to write a review? As the owner I’d be happy to help, or talk to team members that may have been involved in your experience. Feel free to email me personally tyler@tidalremodeling.com

Shady Door-to-Door Sales Experience We were cold-called about home work and, by chance, because we need some, agreed to a quote the next day (mistake #1). A different company showed up (Tidal Renovations), which was already a red flag. The salesman spent ~30 minutes inspecting, then asked to come inside now with a briefcase he didn’t initially have (mistake #2) and dragged us through a 45+ minute PowerPoint about how “legit” they are instead of giving a quote. Despite repeatedly asking for pricing and our options, he kept deflecting and going on tangents. Even when we said we had to leave soon, he ignored it and continued. Worst part is he always had a story about Mr. And Mrs. So and so who has the same issues we had and how he help fix them. When we FINALLY got to options about our home, he rushed through most of them but went deep in detail on one “special” product that they offer, pulling out jars and devices from the briefcase (mistake #3). I stopped him before he could go any further. At that point, it was clear this was a sales pitch, not a straightforward estimate. I then excused him from our home Prior to leaving, we asked multiple times for a quote via email, but he refused and pushed for another in-person meeting to discuss the estimate. We declined and won’t be working with them. Legit contractors don’t trap you in an hour-long pitch or avoid giving written quotes. This felt like a high-pressure sales tactic, and I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time.

We’re very sorry to hear about this experience and appreciate you calling out the aggressive door‑to‑door tactics and the refusal to provide a written quote. That behavior does not reflect how we expect our team to operate; we require transparent, written estimates and respectful appointments. We will investigate this visit and address it with our staff, and would like to make this right—please contact our office using the phone number or email on our website so a manager can provide a written estimate and review the matter. Thank you for the feedback; we take it seriously and apologize for the time and frustration this caused.

This is a follow-up to my review from 3 weeks ago. The owner replied and apologized (you can see the response below) and said someone from Tidal would contact me and send me the quote. That never happened. I never heard from them. Another roofer came to our house, measured the roof, gave a quote that was very fair, then came here the next week and completed the job in two days with good quality tiles (Owens Corning) and good work and left our property clean. That's the kind of service I would expect from any contractor. Changed my rating to 1-star because after the owner of Tidal replied, they never contacted me. So that's minus one star from the two stars I originally gave. _____________________________________________________________ If you want to get a price quote from Tidal Remodeling, first you have to sit through a one-hour hard-sell pitch about how good they are. They came out and measured my roof and poked around in my attic to prepare a quote for re-roofing. Then they sat down at my dining room table and opened up a PowerPoint presentation that has about 50 slides that talk about how good they are. After the 3rd slide, I told them I had to get back to work and asked for the price quote. They said they would like to schedule a time to come back when they could give the whole hard-sell pitch. The next day I called their office and told them I just wanted to get the price quote, and I didn't want to hear the whole sales pitch. The woman told me she would contact the sales rep and get back to me. She never got back to me. I really don't like this way of doing business. If they had done a lousy job of re-roofing the house, that would be a 1-star review. Refusing to provide a quote after I let them up on my roof and up into the attic to check everything - that's gets them a 2-star review (because at least they didn't mess up my roof).
Reply from the business
Clint, we’re sorry we let you down with a lengthy sales presentation and the lack of follow-up after inspecting your roof and attic. That experience falls short of the straightforward, pressure-free quoting process we aim to provide. A manager will reach out directly to deliver the price quote you requested and make this right. If you prefer to contact us first, please call our office and ask for the manager and we will prioritize your request.

Their estimator didn't listen, spoke over me and was rude.
Reply from the business
Annie, I’m sorry to hear you felt that way. The representative who visited you is consistently one of our most patient and well-reviewed team members, so your feedback surprised us. He actually called the moment he left your home to share that the interaction felt tense from the start, which is unusual for him. If the timing wasn’t good or you didn’t want the appointment, we completely understand. A quick call to cancel would have saved everyone the frustration. We never want anyone to feel pressured, and we certainly don’t want our team spoken to poorly when they’re simply doing their job. We wish you well and hope things get better on your end. Best, Tyler, Tidal Remodeling

I was really hoping I’d be able to write a positive review about Tidal Remodeling. I recently hired them for roofing. The salesman Nick promised me no surprises with the billing, and I’d be involved in every step along the way. He specifically mentioned that when they did the wood count, I would be consulted prior to anything being done. I reminded the office staff to contact me when that step of the process was to be performed. Conveniently, no one notified me and I was then surprised by a 30% add to my bill. What really bothered me about this experience was with the payment. I paid by check and was contacted and told that my check bounced back, and I needed to provide another form of payment. I followed up with my bank, and the check had been cashed the week prior by “Tidal Remodeling.” Weird that they used the word bounce and followed with needing another form of payment. It then felt like I had to do all the follow-up to make sure the “misunderstanding” was corrected. I was considering on getting my stucco replaced by Tidal but after this experience I’ll be looking in a more affordable and direction. (No one from your production team contacted as you outline in your reply Nick even admitted as much when I made my payment - also still find nails in the pool that are leaving rust stains).
Reply from the business
Chris, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely glad to hear you were happy with the roof installation itself and the work our crew did onsite. That means a lot to us. We also want to address the concerns you mentioned, because clarity and communication are important. For the wood replacement: During the initial consultation, our team reviews the contract line-by-line, including the wood replacement section. Since the condition of the wood underneath can’t be seen until the old roof is removed, the contract outlines the exact price per sheet and per linear foot if any wood needs to be replaced. This prevents surprises and allows transparency. When the roof was opened, there was more damage than expected and replacement was needed to ensure the roof is structurally sound and will pass inspection. Our production team did attempt to reach you prior, but when we weren’t able to connect and the crew was already mobilized, the replacement proceeded so the project could stay on schedule and meet code. Regarding the check payment: We completely agree that the situation was confusing. Our bank initially showed the check as returned, which is why we reached out. Once the bank released the funds and confirmed the deposit had actually cleared, we let you know right away. There was no intent to charge twice—just a timing issue on the bank’s end, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused. We truly do appreciate your business, and we’re always here to answer questions or review any part of the project in detail. While we’re sorry to hear you won’t be moving forward with the stucco project, we sincerely wish you the best with your home improvements and are glad your roof is now safe and up to code. Warm regards, Tyler — Owner, Tidal Remodeling

I had my house outside walls done with new stucco with Coolwall. The color came out great. I get a lot of compliments from my neighbors. Excellent company to work with. The rep Nick Shobiz really explained the details of the job and got things going smoothly. The crew was great! The foreman always asked questions during the job to make sure it was done right. Really pleased with the results 😊 Ask for Nick.

Mike, thank you for the detailed feedback and for recognizing the speed, the crews' work, and Jaxson’s assistance; I’m very sorry we fell short on communication and completing the job to your expectations. I apologize for the repeated PM/foreman miscommunication, the delayed roof follow-up, the missed wood replacement that was included in your contract, and the paint and gutter issues you described. We will investigate these failures and correct the outstanding items, including repainting streaked gutters, finishing door and window trim, and replacing contracted wood at no additional charge. Our operations manager will contact you within 48 hours to schedule completion and a final inspection, and we will review our internal communication and quality-control procedures to prevent this from happening again.

Excellent work by Tidal Remodeling! I recently used Tidal Remodeling to work on my roof and reinstall my solar panels, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The entire process was seamless, but I want to give a special shout-out to Yakup. First of all Nick S is a wonderful sales person. He really tries to figure out what we need and want and worked hard to get us the best possible outcome for our patio cover. We absolutely love the new patio cover. I mean we really love it. All of the work crews from demolition to install were great. Nick came through on all accounts. He helped throughout the project, kept all appointments on time and we never felt abandoned. He made a lot of promises and we had high expectations and guess what, they all worked out. We are very happy customers. If you are looking for a contractor for exterior work on your homee, ask for Nick.
