Hi Ray, I appreciate this review. Often when we are asked to quote a job it's for a specific service. That's what we're in business to provide. Often clients ask for additional services while we are there which is great and were happy to add those services to the order. Once in a while a client actually wants a number of services but decides to ask if we can just "do this little thing" while we're out there which is actually a big thing that they didn't want to disclose in the beginning and sometimes takes much more time and cost than the "original order". I get it but its not a fair assesment of value, thats win/loose! We were asked to clean a roof originally then once on the job it turned into... "could you remove our gutters" then downspouts, then dispatching a crew, dump trailer, and hauling all the metal gutters to the dump, pay for disposal, etc... all for the price of a clean lol! We obliged but it continued so we chose to cut our losses and stop. When you read this review, you can see Ray is as clear about what he's unhappy about as he was with us when we were asked to quote his roof for service! At least he acknowledged we did a "great" job on the clean. I apologize the other services Ray had us do for free and the ones we would not continue to do to your satisfaction were not 5 star freebie services also! God bless Ray

Two of this companies trucks sped thru our neighborhood today. Not only just "going fast" but also sped up going into a culdesac. Thankfully it was during school hours so our usually full of kids culdesac was empty. I did call and express my concerns to the company however they seemed very uninterested in the way thier employees were driving in company trucks.

    Reply from the business

Hi Katie. We take concerns about safety very seriously. I appreciate this review because they really help the public know the kind of company we are committed to being. Each of our trucks are outfitted with trackers that monitor speed, harsh breaking, etc. so we can monitor our guys driving and address issues even before the general public. They know they're driving behavior is being monitored so it usually keeps a good safeguard in the minds of my technicians while in company vehicles. My office staff doesn't recall getting a call from you and it's not our usual response to disregard a concern raised from anyone regarding our drivers but if that happened would you please call me directly. My cell is 206-501-9378 and my name is Bob Faulk. We reviewed the records for the service trucks for several days around the time of this review and did not note any speeds over 26 on the residential roads. We did bring this concern to our employees attention. We understand that speed limits don't always reflect what is a safe speed in certain areas should be. Your input helps us improve and maintain a safe environment in the community though so thank you for this review. It's sincerely not my intention to have any of my staff disregard a concern brought to our attention. Thank you and God bless! It's now a month since I posted the reply above and I am updating this review because I have not heard back from you. Sometimes reviews are posted just to cause damage. They're intended to make a company sound devious because... not only did they drive fast but they "sped up" so it's even worse. Then when my company was called they did "even worse" and were "uninterested". I respond to reviews and people because I am very interested in people, our service and the public experience with us. I think every review we have expresses that again and again. Thank you for this review. I truly am "very interested" in making each client happy they did business with us and that they and their neighb

The work done at my home and the team at my house was impressive. However, the free estimate/quote was misleading. I have a quote in writing that says $7.600.00. I was billed for $10.048.40. I budgeted for $7,600. Now I do not have the monies to paint the trim on my house. I reached out to the owner, Bob several times. I shared with him the misrepresentation of his quote. He seemed sincere but then never followed through on honoring the $7,600.00 quote (I have the estimate). Bob (the owner) even benefited from my introducing him to my brother who is an international (very successful) roofing consultant. Bob benefited from the ONE HOUR conversation he had with my brother in Austin in order to learn about government jobs and international jobs ($$$) he seemed pleased to have this 'connection'. But he would not honor the misleading quote he gave to me. He was on vacation (Lake Havasu??) the last time we spoke, and he said he would call me, and he never did. I have given ROOF MEDIC much time to resolve this.... since May. Now I will go to every avenue possible on social media. The difference between a quote of $7,600 and over $10,000 truly matters for my budget and it wasn't forthright.

Hi Brook, so the public has the same information to address this review, I uploaded a picture of the work order here for anyone on my Google Business profile to verify. It has each item you requested and approved with an x next to that item, the items you didn't approve are blank, and your signature on the bottom so there's no misrepresentation on either of our parts. Google only allows the person providing a complaint to upload pictures, that benefit is not provided to the company that can respond with pictures as well so the best I can do here is put the actual work order in question in my profile pictures. To begin, I’ve refunded Brook 100% of the services she said I misled her to believe were either at “No Charge” or “just part of the service”. I did that not because what is stated was valid but because I’d rather continue to maintain a reputation of integrity even if a person deals with me without equity. I don’t collect a penny down nor do I or my techs EVER collect payment in person when we are complete. We simply send our clients invoices for all the services they request and APPROVE with a signature validating those requests and they either send a check in which Brook did or they pay online with a credit card. I met with Brooke in May for a cleaning inspection. I discovered her soffits were rotting out due to improper installation of her tile roof. I showed her the pictures and she verified she was concerned due to her rotting soffits so along with cleaning her roof, Brooke choose the value cleaning package as evidenced with the check mark next to the item for $1,387, she also decided to have her gutter faces cleaned by hand around the entire perimeter of her large 2 story home for $198 with a check box there also and finally 300 linear feet of her rotting soffits repaired around her large home for $7,600 and happily signed the work order as you can see in the picture of her work order in our profile pictures. The service was scheduled to begin July 14th, l

After getting an RSVP advertising card offering roof cleaning and moss treatment for $319, I scheduled. They insisted an "inspection" was required prior to a cleaning appointment. The guy who came was actually a salesman who tried hard to upsell me into a much more costly, ongoing service. I declined, saying I only wanted the service advertised to clear moss and leaves. (roof is not very old, it's in great shape) He was unhappy at not making a bigger sale, and said he'd have to charge $50 more because roof was a little larger than the 1800 sf the advertised price covers. I agreed and scheduled for a month out. This was in very early spring. Two days later the same guy called back saying they're too booked up and can't possibly come until October...7 months later!!! Funny, there was plenty of time two days ago. This smells of false advertising and very sleazy business practices.

I appreciate reviews like this because they are more helpful than damaging. It takes a moment to cover the details but people are good judges and can read whats really going on. I genuinely love people and love what I do. The truth is were good at roofs and providing excellent service as affordably as possible. People are important and I hope what I sow into peoples lives comes back to my life as a blessing. Sometimes situations become difficult and that's nothing I'm afraid of. After 20 years in business I'm pretty good at knowing what kind of experience we will have with a person before we ever begin. I can't remember ever leaving a prospects inspection feeling sickened though, let me explain! I provide our inspections completely free of charge and in person because we need to know the size, condition of the roof if its serviceable or if there's any obvious issues that a client would want fixed.. I want to help clients know the life expectancy based on the environment around the home so each client can make the best long term solution based on what they want. When I sat with Mrs. Powell however, my words were intentionally twisted to say what I didnt say which took me off guard and that's unusual. She told me the service I was going to provide at the price I was going to charge with additional options I was going to provide for her based on my inspection. None of her demands reflected the size of her roof, the actual conditions that exist on her roof, the type of treatment she wanted and how long she said I was going to be responsible for her roof remaining clean. The whole conversation was pretty manipulative but sometimes this is how a person attempts to get what they want or, just like here, they retaliate with as much damage as they can inflict. I'm not used to a person trying to position me to defend my intentions let alone my words as a way for them to gain advantage so this customer interaction was not the norm. As gracefully as possible I wanted to walk aw

Hi Kevin, Thank you for your follow up to Joes inspection. I'm Bob Faulk, the owner of Roof Medic and I wanted to respond and see if after my response I can offer a solution. We love to service roofs and every one of them has different factors that make each a bit different however. Some of those differences include pitch (or steepness), amount of moss (or difficulty), age of roof (care and experience needed in order to clean your specific roof properly), and a few other factors but not a big deal. The next factor is our pricing for cleans. That includes type of cleaning services and options you choose included in packages, repairs, types of treatments, etc, since there are different options and a world of difference in results. Much like other retailers we provide a generic offer in our ads because one size especially in the service business doesn't necessarily fit all. We then go out to do a pre-service inspection where we meet you at your home, take into account all those factors and needs. Then we identify options we recommend for your roof individually. Next we make sure you know all the options so you can make the best choice for your needs. You wondered if we had any "problems lurking under the surface". Not sure exactly what that means but if you mean do we bait and switch, no, as a matter of fact that's exactly why we don't ever provide a service without you 1st directing us to the type of service you want with the options you choose and a signature on those and only those services. Anyway, thank you for letting me clarify my costs and prices. It would take a bit too long to explain all those individually for your roof in this review but I do appreciate you allowing us to give you a quote. I would like to offer you something of more value if you do reconsider and decide to use us. I apologize, I never discount just to discount. It makes it impossible to stay open, provide excellent service, pay my employees, and provide my clients with excellent warranties

What a flake. I took the day off for him to fix my room and had a 9 am appt he never showed; called his office at 9:30 and they said he would come later in the day and call; I never heard from him and its been three days; calling someone else more reliable.

Hi Virginia this is Bob Faulk, owner of Roof Medic. I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding. When I was originally scheduled to do your inspection I arrived early and found a few missing shingles needing to be replaced on your roof. We spoke by phone to go over what was needed and let you know I would do it shortly. I purposely hadn't scheduled a date because I was going to do the repair personally asap due to it would take less than 15 minutes and didn't want to dispatch an entire crew because of our current work load. I usually let my clients know at our appointment for your convenience there's no need to be home for your service since we don't need to go inside and there's no need to have you up on the roof with us but I missed that and only assumed you wouldn't be home for the service especially since I hadn't given you a hard date. I found out you must have called my office and scheduled a date and my office manager put you on my list of to do's. I did not know you were home or had taken a full day off work but regardless I apologize.. I have been extremely backed up for several reasons and I did decide to catch yours this Saturday because my day Tuesday ran late and I needed to get to my son coming out of surgery at harborview as a result of a motorcycle accident. I just sincerely apologize No excuse for my lack of contact and for my assumption it would be ok to move your service a couple days. If I can take care of the.repairs for you for FREE in an effort to extend my apologies please contact me directly at 206-501-9378. I'm happy to take care of it for you at no charge. I have left a message confirming this also on your home phone as well.

Terrible service. Left a mess of moss in my grass after cleaning my roof. It's been 3 weeks and have not come back to apply the post cleaning treatment that was supposed to be applied within a week. They were supposed to do that today and then no showed. When we called asking where they were they told us they would not be able to install the TV antenna they had agreed to install when they removed the DirecTV dish, which they haven't removed yet. And that it would be several days before they could come out. I am refusing to pay because they are not providing the service we agreed to. I spoke to the owner Bob personally about my complaints and he hung up on me. I was hoping to get an apology and a promise to make it right but he was extremely rude and unapologetic.

I’ve been in business for 15 years and I’m pretty good at avoiding challenges simply by evaluating prospective customers when I meet them in person. I’ve gladly provided all our services to the watsons completely FREE of charge, not because the statement Mr. Watson provided was in fact what happened but simply in hopes to just gracefully allow them to pursue the agenda they intended from the beginning. I met with Sandy Watson in person March 8th. She had a couple items she wanted serviced including her roof cleaned, her gutters cleaned out and a dish tv antenna removed from her roof. She expressed her budget was very tight so she would need to see what she could afford and asked me if I would give her a quote for each separately. I provided the quote for exactly those services as detailed on the service order I have attached. Sandy later called my office manager and asked if we would reduce our price to match the other quotes she received from other companies but she stated she wanted us to provide the service due to I was the only contractor that actually got on her roof for the inspection, the detail I provided, presentation and our packet on our service. Brittany (my office manager) stated our prices reflect our service but she would be happy to ask me to follow up with the Watsons and I did. I called Sandy back, confirmed that I quote the price I do because of the service I provide and respectfully declined the service. She called a 2nd time and asked if we would provide the entire roof cleaning, gutter clean out and moss treatment for the price of cleaning of the gutters. I again called her back and somewhat tongue in cheek declined her request again and basically said if you're looking for a cheap service I would suggest go with one of the other quotes she received from another contractor. A 3rd time she called Brittany and asked her could we just clean the roof and gutters and throw in the dish removal for free. I called Sandy back for the last time and let

Hi GZone, thank you so much for the review. I wish it was a 5 star based on our prices too. My son started a junk removal business some time ago. We were talking about prices. I told him to read a book called Profit first by Mike malkovich. Mike was running a company pulling in almost 20 million dollars a year and went bankrupt. He learned that he was not paying profit first in a separate account, then taxes, then cost of goods, then employees, then overhead. That taught me how to be disciplined which translated into being responsible which ultimately gave me the ability to provide superior value! Until 2015 I had never had more than $50,000 in my business account. Since I read that book I'm nowhere near that position any longer. I learned that I could maintain just a 10% profit margin and be totally competitive in the marketplace. I'm grateful you allow us to continue to serve you GZone. I hope to get to continue to serve you with the 5 Star excellent service that keeps us both enjoying the benefits of excellent work at an incredible value. 😁 God bless you my friend!

I contacted The Roof Medic based upon a recommendation from a neighbor. Joe came out and I initially requested a roof treatment while asking him to verify our 20 year old roof. Joe came down, showed me pictures of what he found and gave us two options. The first option was to set up an appointment to do the treatment and make the repairs that he found, or to set up an appointment to do a roof replacement. I asked him in his judgement how much longer our roof was good for and he said two to three years. Instead of opting for the treating and repairs, we went with the roofing replacement. Joe and his team did an outstanding job! The shingles were delivered on the day promised, as were the dumpster and port-a-potty. His team showed up the next day and worked until 8:30 that evening! They then showed up the following day and finished the job. Joe came out and inspected the roof with me and he also fixed a drainage issue we have had since we first bought the house 20 years ago. All-in-all, I highly recommend that anyone needing a roof cleaning and/or replacement to consider contacting The Roof Medic to at least allow them to verify your roof and tell you if any issues are present. Great company, great team!
