  They were responsive when they came out for the bid and promised I would be taken care of with in 2 weeks, after many phone calls they finally started and finished the job 6 weeks later. They didn't respond to phone calls. One person would say they would call me back and someone else would call that appeared to not even know what they were calling me about. It seemed there was no internal communication. I wanted them to repair the other sky light so they promised to get it done quicker and , again said 2 weeks to completion. After 1 week and a call from me they said the panel was in and they would be out to install it the following week and they would call me with a time. A couple more calls and the sales person (same person who told me the panel was in) told me he would check to see if the panel was in , so I reminded him he already told me that the panel WAS in. He said he didn't remember telling me that. I felt like I was talking to Tweedle D and Tweedle DUMB. So b4 Christmas I put in an angry phone call and that I wondered if they would get it done before Christmas and 2 days later they came to install it. That installation took about 45 minutes. This was 4 weeks from my request for the second panel and 3 weeks after I was told the panel was in. Very frustrating for both jobs and these were both small jobs. I will never call this company again. So this took from September to the end of December to get both jobs done.

  Group showed up to job site. Asked to use gas can. Asked to use power tools. Threw things off roof & didnt even look, hit neighbor in the head. Got roofing materials in the neighbors pool. Just very rude and unprofessional. I will never recommend this company.

  I can’t think of a major purchase I have ever made, that was easy to understand, estimated with care, made me feel incredibly at ease, even when they found the damage under the roofing. I was notified immediately, explained the plan to repair, and move forward quickly. After I approved the estimate they found the time to do mine in about a week, 3 day job, cleaned up very well. Would recommend. $30K Spent.

  Bates Roofing gave us the BEST customer service I've ever received from a construction company. They stayed communicative the entire time, making sure I understood the process and any holdups that occurred, in real time. This was a hard, unforeseen issue and Bates went out of their way to make it as easy on us as possible. Thank you so much for your kindness, efficiency and communication!

  Did a great job! They were completed in one day. No surprises and quote was what they said. Was the most competitive in cost compared to the other estimates (I got 3 other estimates) I received. Bates Roofing did a great job and would work with them again.

  I used Bates to replace and repair our apartment complex roofs. I would definitely recommend Bates Roofing and use them again. The roofs were in pretty bad shape due to lack of proper maintenance by the previous owners. Brad answered all of my questions and gave me great recommendations. I didn't feel pushed to purchase or upgrade anything more than what I needed. The pricing was transparent on the estimate. Pricing for replacement plywood sheets were listed. The crew that worked on our roofs were very efficient and cleaned up. A supervisor followed up after installation of the roof for a final inspection and to answer any additional questions I had. A couple of notes. The only thing not listed in the estimate was replacement for fascia and trim. You may want to ask about that ahead of time if your roofs were terrible like mine! Also, they do charge to remove to remove each layer of roofing. Unfortunately, our buildings had 3 layers. Also, scheduling was a bit rushed for me since we tried to squeeze it in during late winter, early spring and before the end of their fiscal year. TLDR: the job was well done and I would certainly use them again.
